congratulations my friend it's an excellent work, please make a video about change resistance of de freezer of the same refrigerator that you show in the video . I'm a student of refrigeration and I would like to learn more about this affair, thank you Mr

Hello, I would like to know if it possible disassemble the right door in order to fix a little dents in the edge, from inside. Like you did, take the rubber on edge (gasket) after the center covering and go to stainless still cover and smooth it from inside out. Please let me know. My fridge is LG the some of video. the dent is edge right side. It very little, not able fix it from outside.
I have LG 3 door refrigerator with Freezer on bottom. Few months back a coil spring used inside the gasket flapper broke. Where do I buy this coil spring? My gaskets around the right door are torn ( they are not broken). Do I need to replace it? It might be making my refrigerator door from closing properly.
Have an LGLFX25991ST 3 door Refrigerator/Freezer. Both doors used to close with a spring effect. Right door had some noise and now no spring effect. Looked out for any broken parts at the bottom of the door but there is nothing there besides the hinge. How can I fix it?
does anyone know how to replace the freezer door? I am going to attempt to do this and was hoping someone had put up a video so I could watch it before I attempt. Thanks
Hi, I have this type of fridge and am wondering where is the water filter unit as mine is due for change. It says change every 6months. Please can you help?
As a Pro. Civil Engineer * Lic. HVAC/R * Lic. GC. * Investor * Project Manager. My question is: In additonal, WHY the technician did NOT demonstrated the DISASSEMBLE and REASSEMBLE of the left door which was more TECHNICAL that the right door DUE to the water line?
The refrigerator model in this video is not equipped with a dispenser on the left door. The icemaker in this model is located in the lower freezer section. The left door removal would be a mirrored procedure of the right so we only demonstrated disassembly of the right side. If you did have a dispenser in the door, you would have to disconnect the water line with a larger wire harness connector and probably a ground wire at the top hinge. Otherwise, it would be the same procedure.
It would have been good to show the disassembly of the left door on an LG frig with the dispenser in the door since it looks like the only repair for a broken hose is to replace the whole door or cutting holes into the panel.
Pleae help, how do i kill the fridges sound alarm ( the dorrs are closed but it keeps on beeping) its driving me nuts..From this video I realise that maybe i should disconnect the wires on top of the fridge, but that didnt do it.. what should i do?
I have a lg LFX28968ST and its very similar but newer i think. The problems is that there are no screws on the panel just some plastic pieces with holes in them. Do you know how to release this panel so I can access the hardware inside? Help....
We have the same fridge/freezer and problem. Did you ever figure out how to get the back panel off? No screws, just holes so I don't want to bust it by just prying on it...
I have this same frige/freezer and inside under the freezer door there is a 1/4" layer of ice and also have water leaking from the bottom of the freezer door, most likely because of the ice build up. I'm not aware of any defrosting procedure with this model other than unplugging it but then the frige stops running as well.
PrimitiveVsns We would check the door seal. A bad seal will cause frost to form where it is not designed to. Another cause is a clogged defrost drain and when it goes into defrost mode water leaks.
We recently put a large dent in the right door of our LG French Door refrigerator. I watched your very informative video and was wondering, if I ordered a new right door will I have to transfer latch, gasket to the new door or does it come with these items? I would appreciate any other concerns I may have missed should I attempt to change out the door. Thanks for your answer and the video.
Glenn Ball Most replacement doors come with the door gasket and latch. To determine what comes with a replacement door for your model, enter the model number in our website's search engine: www.RepairClinic.com. The photos of the door assembly for your model will show what is included. Note that you will need to transfer the handle from the old door to the new one, as most replacement doors are not sold with handles. Please also be aware that we may have a how-to video for your specific model. That's why it's important to start by entering your model number on our website.
I’ve got this refrigerator at home and recently I ran into a problem. The ice maker isn’t making ice. The reason is because the water inlet line keeps freezing up. I replace the inlet valve solenoid already and I put a new ice maker in and the problem still persists. Is there a heater around where the line is fed through the freezer? There isn’t a water filter and the water pressure from the water feed seems good. What could I do next?
I have approximately this same refrigerator; seven years old. The light for the freezer drawer is out. It's located on the bottom of the right-hand refrigerator door, so it shines down into the freezer drawer. It's an LED strip. I replaced it; that didn't help. So I replaced the magnetic control switch for it, which is located behind the left lower freezer drawer support (a real adventure); that didn't help either. What's left? I'm guessing the LED gets its power through the hinge on the top of the right-hand refrigerator door; but I don't know what I would be looking for in there, nor what to repair. Anyone able to help?
I need to replace all the water lines on the rear of my LG fridge. They have become brittle and break easily. I have a water access point on the left front door. Do I have to remove the rear panel to make this repair; what surprises are in store for me?
The thin layer of aluminum foil that is on the back panel above the drain tray flakes off and periodically clogs the drain. then the water cannot get througfh the drain and runs to the bottom tray inside the freezer and causes a large accumulation of ice.
the drain is cloggeed behind the back panel of the bottom freezer. i believe the aluminum foil on the insulation peels off and restricts or blocks this. the actual drain tray is behind the fridge and can be accessed by removing the back bottom panels 5 or 6 phillips head screws.
I have this problem. It wasn't a clogged drain. The evaporator on mine is too big/high and the back panel doesn't seal properly against the back wall of the fridge, letting in moisture.
Please help!!! Does everyone know the model number for this fridge??? This is my fridge but my model got removed with bleach by accident.....now I don't have a model number to order parts.....thanks so much!!!
This looks identical to mine except my ice maker is just a bit different. My model is LFC20760ST -- The model info can be found inside the fridge on the right upper inside wall. Hope that helps...
I bought three door lower refrigerator it's a whirlpool inside of it was just laying there a white small box in side the box has two packages that say to refresh every six months but I don't know where the box go I can't find a place for it . Was it just thrown in there or does it belong to the icemaker please help I've tried looking it up can't find it any answers
Is it baking soda to keep the refrigerator fresh smelling? You should change it out every 6 months. The brand I use has a refrigerator/freezer package - good marketing.
Kenmore Elite Refrigerator MODEL 795.74033.411 with Error Code er rf. I have replaced the control board and the fan assembly in the freezer compartment. No change... the refrigerator still presents the error code er rf. WHEN I PRESS THE "RESET BUTTON" ON THE CONTROL PANEL, THE FANS ENGAGE BUT GO OFF WITHIN SECONDS WHEN THE REFRIGERATOR RESETS". TWO QUESTIONS: Does the fresh food compartment have a fan or are the fans in the freezer the only two fans? Based on the information above, do the think the replaced control board is defected also? THANKS
I know this is a 4month old post but if someone else has the same trouble?~~> I Had that happen (albeit a different brand and model) a loooong time ago.... all it was was this little transfer fan assembly had ran out of lubrication and the shaft galled so motor would't rotate (just hummed a little loudly as it TRIED to turn) the fan blades not spinning meant the cold air from freezer was not moving to the refrigerator. I pulled the fan out (right there in a little compartment inside freezer) two screws held the assembly together (not counting the fan blade which was just held in place on the motor shaft by a set screw as I recall) ....I COULD have bought a whole new fan but I wanted to try to get the thing going asap so I took maybe a fine file and some fine emery cloth and/or sandpaper and just re polished the motor shafts where they spun inside of bronze bushings on the motor end caps ....then I smeared grease ...(probably just used Vaseline from baby diaper changing station LOL) ...made sure it spun easily, put it all back together and VIOLA! Worked like new again! Was still working perfectly when I sold it a couple years later when we received a brand new refrigerator as a wedding gift...YMMV but it seems like it has to be a transfer fan or maybe duct that opens and closes via a thermostat? But it would have to have SOMETHING to make pressure so the cold air would move from one place to the other...no? look up transfer fan or blower with your model number ...

$300 to have a tech come in and pump it full of Freon and leak detector fluid. "This is step 1" Step two turns out to be "junk the fridge, cause it'll cost more to repair than just buying a new one". What a piece of junk! Target practice begins!!!
These fridges are actually pretty well thought designs in terms of working on them. I just wish they wouldn't make all the WORKING parts so damned thin, cheap, and chintzy. Fridges used to last for DECADES, now, not so much. And usually it's for lack of spending a few more cents for better materials and designs for robustness. Planned obsolescence, in this day and age, should be criminally punishable, if proven. That is TRULY not sustainable. Also, for just a few cents more, both evaporators and condensers could be made far more efficient, if you don't believe it, look at commercial units for providing the same functions.
This has saved people tons of money. Thank you!
