Need to learn to pronounce Desi properly. There's no z in it. Score of 8.6 for this review where there was nothing negative to say and loved the taste of everything and a 9.5 for fish and chips which was a Profry Ltd sponsored review in Scotland. Just goes to prove my point about money paid biased reviews and inconsistent scoring.

The Desi pub concept has been going on for a few years and it's at the heart of the community. I would strongly recommend The Grove, Handsworth I think you will be very impressed.
The grove does great tap beer and the best butter chicken in UK
A Nice Desi Pub in Birmingham that I’ve been too I’ve heard about a lot of great ones in the West Midlands but Special Spices in Great Barr, Birmingham and also the Red Lion in Birmingham you have to go and review both 👍🏼 Great Food and Atmosphere!!!

Once you try this place, you will definitely go back. Foods amazing here, and the prices are very good.

Lol if you think champys bangs go to the garden gate in Hamstead or the grove in handsworth they are both better than champys was not impressed at all when I went champys still cleaned the plate but didn’t stand up to its legendary review
Soho is decent, not been in a while. You should try Champys in Walsall
if that's the "normal" portion it's splendid VFM.

I live 20 mins from this place. I always went to the Handsworth one which is also 20 mins away in the other direction. Great food. Thought i would give this place a go. Looking at the menu today. That mixed grill you have there is now £27.45. £11+ increase since you were there. Its like the Farmhouse in Coventry on Beechwood avenue. Used to work not far from it and used to go there for lunch and after work a lot. Saw the place become very popular and very busy and also saw the menu double in price. They all put the prices up when they become popular.
Just seen this review. I’ve been going here for years and it really is the best in Birmingham. Can I suggest you try their new venue in Hampton in Arden. The place is stunning and the food is to die for. Great review by the way👍👍

@@markwestwood333916 pounds is like 22 euros. Here in The Netherlands we get a mixgrill for that amount and that too for 1 portion! I was at this place 2 weeks ago, the soho grill could satisfy 4 average sized persons!
