You need to get yourself to Hockley Social Club on a Thu-Sun, Matt. You'll be blown away.

@@seanbyrne8767 It is, yeah. They moved from Lower Trinity Street because the venue wasn't Covid-distancing viable.
@@adamjones5931 thought so i remember seeing a post about it somewhere. He definitely needs to review the place. Make it a special as there is so much to choice from. Shame they had to move as restrictions have been eased somewhat but I've heard nothing but good things about the new venue and the food on offer.
Algerian sauce is the one. You can buy a 500ml bottle of it for a £5, will last you months.

My neck of the woods lad! Brum is sound we get a bad Rep but we always Show luv!! Mak is a Gem Whilst you’re here I would try Khans on ladypool road the lamb curry and chips is unique!! Grillz and Afrikana are Banging too highly recommended.

Had this months ago before, about 2 hours before swimming. Mak Halal's panini is legendary. I lived in Small Heath before moving 2 years ago.

Teemos are next door to them they also have very tasty food.
I went here last night but I found it pretty uninspiring. Fries were out too long and weren’t up to a decent standard, chicken strips a bit I dunno, bland? And the burger was a bit too well done and the meat was seasoned with either sage or thyme and it totally overpowered the meat and sauce. If your meat is good then leave it as that. I did so many BBQs I never want to taste herbs ever again. My mates pizza tho - that was immense. But my food. Didn’t inspire me at all, and the burger was served in a floury bap, like from a burger van at the top of the road at a minor league football club.
