NEW Large Industry/Warehouse by Walthers Cornerstone Added!- Large HO Train Layout Build - Ep 19

- This episode is a great one in my opinion. I add a new large concrete warehouse to the layout made by Walthers Cornerstone (Link below). It will be the new industry that will use box car freight. I also get a few things done like dirt and adding some scenery as well. I wanted to get 2 episodes done this week but I had some work done in the layout room that wasn't layout related. We are back up to speed and ready to go again. As always I thank everyone for watching :D
Also side note: After uploading I realized you can hear my dang mini fridge in the background for the first 4 minutes of the video. Won’t happen again smh

Great video TR and the Concrete Warehouse looks great! Definitely a great addition to your layout and filled that space perfectly! It's nice to have extra parts that can be used on other structures later or to even add to the warehouse. Thanks again for sharing your videos in this layout series along with your time and effort!

Man this thing is tough to build lol. It came in yesterday and I have a few walls up, but it’s definitely going to take sometime the directions are a little helpful but watching your video helps

Love these weekly videos mate. The warehouse turned out really good. I have built some walthers kits in the past only a securty fence but I have to try their buildings. From what I can see they look great. - Nicholas.

Great episode, got a decent amount of things done. Can't wait to see more locomotives & cars on the layout! Will there be a third section? And will there be a loop or a secondary yard? Wouldn't it be cool if you could somehow wire the trains to make an automatic runaround system where once the locomotive consist got to the end it would just leave the cars on a siding, bring the power on a siding and go to the other end of the cars? I know it'd be impossible to do that automatically but it would be awesome nonetheless.
If your aiming for a more modern prototypical layout you should get some BNSF sticker decals and patch the Burlington Northern logo on the side and put a BNSF logo with the number above it like you would see on a patched BN locomotive in the present day. Also the big numbers on the side would be patched as well (Look up pics if you don't know what I mean)

Thanks man! I appreciate that. But yes there will be a 3rd section, It’ll just take another $100 or so dollars to do so haha and yeah eventually I want to have a full loop. That would be a super cool system though and far more complicated then I could handle lol
Great job building it. Too bad you didn’t put the truck unloading doors on the end, then you could have modeled some trucks in a parking lot in the open space.
I know I wasn’t thinking that far ahead. Will see though things may work out better then I thought 😁

It will be a full loop layout hopefully sooner then later

Do you plan to add a zone of houses in your layout?
I’m not sure yet. I would like to have atleast a small area of houses atleast but that’ll probably be on the next section

behind the warehouse you should put a abandoned track, why? Because it will add more realistic affect to it.

What all do I need to be able to build this correctly like what type glue any other tools you suggest?
You’ll need specific model glue that dries at a speed your comfortable with. I prefer a fast setting one or you’ll be waiting forever. I use Tamiya Extra Thin Cement glue. Also a razor, like the ones that are shaped like pens where you can replace the blade. Walmart has them in the crafts section. Spray paint for colors you want the building. And a ruler might help I use a metal one so I have a straight edge. A pair of snippers for cutting off the plastic molding. Hopefully I got everything

Really loving the progress, however one piece of constructive criticism, not to tell you how to build your layout, but there doesn’t seem to be any place for trucks to pull in at the warehouse with your mainline right next to it on the other end. I don’t know if you planned it that way or otherwise, just suggesting.
