Technically, no as even driving on FWD as long as you have proper winter tires will get you where you need to go. However, if you are doing some light off roading or driving on hills and inclines and deeper snow, then having AWD on winter tires is definitely more beneficial and advantageous!
people who buy these dont care about range lol. i bought the model y performance for speed and practicality. why do you need long range? anyone ever heard of a plane?? but this will not sell, wayyyyyyy over priced.
Dan, Are you driving on studded Nokian 'tyres'? 🤔
Studded Michelin X-Ice tires.
@@danilika9420The people of southern and south eastern Ontario can only dream of studded tires.
@@rightlanehog3151 I personally don't think they're necessary around these parts - especially not for the damage they'd cause to the roads.

Maybe EV’s don’t need all wheel drive, but I do!
Yes

It’s basically a luxury Nissan Leave with AWD, only like $10K more so may do well.
Get off the plowed section into the snow and tell us how great/un-required awd is.
Sorry, but all-wheel drive isn't going to help claw through snow past the rocker panels! Thanks for watching!
