Quick question, am i the only one who holds presentations without notes? Most my classmates have scripts, some have notes. I have notes but don't use them. And i still get fine grades for 'em. Am i alone with that or...?
For the end point, don’t jump into a cold shower. Sure it’ll spike the adrenaline response but exercising is far more effective. It can just be a 10 minute walk enough to get you breathing in quicker than before
Cold shower boosts dopamine 2.5x times above baseline whereas exercise will be differential depending on how much you enjoy that exercise - if you enjoy, exercise will increase dopamine 2x above baseline.
Also, don't skip classes too much, because you'll get in taste with it and you'll keep skipping college. That's why there was ~25 people on classes on our first year and now it's ~4
I have the same experience. I couldn't attend my first year. I heard there were around 60 students. I attended the second year and there are barely 4 or 5 students. Also they too aren't regular either.
@@Darknight526 I mean they weren't kicked out of college, they just being lazy. One girl was trying to find any excuse not to go, so she said "my eyes hurt when I look at the bright snow". :)
last tip works real well if you have smelling salts (the thing that powerlifters use to pump themselves up) because all it really takes is one wiff so it’s really convenient
Personally I recommend getting right to study after u come from school don't rest like at all except eating lunch or sm like that that's imp- also constantly keep in mind "I just have to get through x hrs of study and then I'll watch tv/sleep/play etc." This helps u stay motivated and actually give u a reason to stay focused during ur studies Try it out it might work for ya...
@@fun_g yeah that never worked for me. i suffered a lot with that strategy but stuck with it thinking it was "the right thing to do". i only had an A- average. i really recommend just actually resting after 6 hours of being bombarded with lectures and dealing with other students. an actual meditation, eating, maybe a nap. then sit with your course materials with a fresh mind. either that or get up early and do it before your classes even start. that was how i had a 4.0.
TIP THAT I USE ALMOST DAILY ACTIVE RECALL whenever i have to revise a topic i just take a glance at the name of the topic and starts to write about it in a rough sheet and then matches with the notes and then analyses that where i did mistake(could be formula or anything) by this you can also be aware of things you forgot. these all makes revision very quick and interesting and MEANINGFUL
I see now that's why I was able to memorize things by walking . I walked for 9 hours straight like studying while walking a day before my exam . The next day , my feet were dead but at least the exam went the best I had ever attempted in social science.
As per the first point, for me, without songs i can't even imagine to study!! 😀😀 My friends think I'm mad but it's so calming and relaxing that I am able to focus more while listening to music as compared to studying in a normal manner!!
for me, i get motivated very easily with music that are very fast-paced, so i would collate all my fav fast-paced pop music to hype me up whenever im travelling or studying to be more efficient... one of the songs that gets me rlly motivated and focused is especially Last Summer by Ikson... the beat drop and all is sooo satisfying to listen to while studying... this tip so far works for me since i dont rlly pay attention to lyrics but my irl bestie who loves lyrics would have to stick to instrumental/non-lyrical music in order to be focused (to whoever who read this, ur complete legend... :0)
Well I always do the second rule as I am an artist, I like the texture, colour and objects thinking how it could be drawn.. where are the basic shapes. And usually ends up observing it for quite some time.
Also, returning to subjects at random times helps condition your brain to believe the information is important enough to remember. Say you study math. Set up times and moments throughout your life that chalanges you to recall the information you studied. It helps your brain to know that it's valuable and you will keep it longer. Happy studying! ❤
for me the best way to study is that explaining the topics to yourself or assume yourself as a teacher and explain that particular topic to your imaginary students. it really works to remember and ponder your key notes effectively.
The repetition is also known as rehearsal. You should try to do elaborative rehearsal also known as semantic learning. Try to associate things with already existing knowledge, that makes remembering easier.
To this day the best method I've come across is by making stories with keywords. I've learnt things instantly and never forgot them for years just using this way
I notice that I absorb auditory information when I drop into a certain mindset while drawing. It's almost like synesthesia. I start associating certain parts of the drawing/coloring phase with the parts of info I'm currently listening to. Also, getting excited about something helps me to recall, too.
I heard all of this from Dr. Andrew Huberman, but thanks for disseminating the knowledge in the community! I also noticed how you were captivated of his gesture, "it doesn't matter".
The moment i found this short is the moment i understand the meaning when my lecture said that my presentation lack theory.....but she still give high mark for my presentation....😢❤
Or solve questions . Coz whenever i solve question right after studying a topic it wrecks my brain out but I find myself remembering better the next day

When i study or read something i like to hum a song at the same time idk why but it makes me relax and focused but i only hum one song that my head is stuck with like bruno mars and lady gaga's song
I tried out the first one actually it will help you focus on the study and after awhile i'll stop listening because it makes me memorize less than i did without the sound i used white noise
Me using heigh entensity music to study. Not sure if the counts for the first one but it definitely counts for the 3rd and help for adhd. Also I just do the 2nd one by accident. If I can't concentrate or something I just stare off to the side, not thinking of anything for a moment
Heres a tip: dont read your notes but explain them as if your explaining it to a bunch of students helps alot👍
Its really effective i do this all the time
if you can explain something with your own words it indicates that you learned it. is it an uncommon knowledge?
When I'm learning German and Spanish I'm trying to create associations with new words I've learned between those I know from other languages I use.
Quick question, am i the only one who holds presentations without notes? Most my classmates have scripts, some have notes. I have notes but don't use them. And i still get fine grades for 'em. Am i alone with that or...?
@-WMD-Edutainment No need to be so self-proclaimed about it. Different people have different styles of presenting, and it's fine either way.
For the end point, don’t jump into a cold shower. Sure it’ll spike the adrenaline response but exercising is far more effective. It can just be a 10 minute walk enough to get you breathing in quicker than before

@@mjric that might be too much huhu, maybe that's what you intend, but it seems too extreme (just a comment)
