    I tried bulletproof coffee 3 days before Christmas '24 and noticed I wasn't hungry nor craving. I am 77 and a 52 year diabetic . I found carnivore eating. I told my husband and his smoking chef juices began flowing. We went cold turkey adding intermittent fasting. I had already worked up to riding our recumbent bicycle for half hour forward peddling and half hour backward. After a visit to chiropractor she noticed reduced inflammation. This after 10 day on carnivore. Husband lost 12 pounds in that 10 days, I lost 5 pounds. I feel great and blood sugar is going down. We have not had any of the negative responses mentioned here.

    I’ve been watching your videos for months and procrastinating. I don’t have any major health issues, yet. I’m almost 47 years old and the scale is creeping towards 260 I want to be here for any future grandkids, cancer also runs in my family. I’m going to give carnivore a real try on Monday 1/6 and your videos have helped me make a plan. Thanks for all of the great info and I will continue to follow you!

    FOR ANYONE WITH COW DAIRY ISSUES:
    I've been sensitive & intolerant to cow dairy products all of my 70 yrs of life.
    12 years ago it turned into a severe allergy.
    i had to stop eating all cow dairy including products labeled "may contain traces of milk".
    Now I've found that I can eat goat milk, goat butter, goat kefir & goat cheese etc with no issues!!
    Well-wishes ❤

      The problem is affording goat milk. I love it, but the price has soared in recent years. The last time I had some was Christmas 2020. Price has always been higher for goat milk, but it has spiked in the past few years, so no delicious goat milk for me. 😢

      I love goat dairy best

    • @EarmuffHugger
      @EarmuffHugger 25 днів тому +5

      Meijer stores & some health food stores have goat dairy products.
      The brand I buy is Meyenberg.
      I also sprinkle sea salt on the butter for a great taste.
      1 4oz stick costs about $4 & lasts me a week.
      A 32oz bottle of kefir costs $8 & lasts about 2 weeks.
      Cheese is about 16$ lb & last 2 weeks.
      I also eat OMAD with fatty minced beef, eggs yolks & occasionally some fish.
      Well wishes

    I heard its expensive and people who are or have hypertension or high blood pressure and salt could be a problem.also be constipated and heard about meat and colon cancer,sorry so many questions.your the only one i found to tell us word for word what happens while doing carnivore.thankyou

    • @JennyMitich
      @JennyMitich  18 годин тому

      Hello! It doesnt have to be expensive, I am saving money eating this way. Quite the opposite for BP and hypertension. Carnivore normalized blood glucose levels pretty quickly and that can help resolve both issues. Sodium is not bad, its the ultra-processed foods that are the issue. I talk about all of these things and more in my Beginner Carnivore playlist, check that out. Those videos should answer most of your questions :)

    Chuck roasts are one of my favorite meats to eat.
    I cook them in a Instant Pot pressure cooker.
    It will cook a huge roast in less than 2 hours and its falling apart tender.
    I then vacuum seal weighed portions and put them in the fridge.
    This sounds like a lot of work but it takes 2 minutes to get the roast cooking then about 5 minutes to vacuum seal it.
    This is really good for discounted meat so you can cook it quick and have it ready to eat instead of sitting in your freezer taking up space.

    I began Carnivore about 1.5 years ago to lose weight, then to get healthy.
    I was devastated a couple years ago to learn I am prediabetic (so are my thinner friends) and have really dug into Carnivore.
    Just got my blood work results and while my A1C has some room to improve, it's 5.7 down from 6.1 last year. Everything else seems normal. Last year, my PA wanted me back in 6 mos. so she could track my cholesterol. But rebel that I am, I waited a year and look at that, I'm healthy. 😃 Had an eye exam and my doctor was very pleased by the health of my eyes. He revealed he is also Carnivore. 😉

    Actually started carnivore in September of 2023, but fell of the wagon around June and have struggled to get back on. So I'll be using January as my next starting point to get back to good health.

  • @PinkieJoJo

    I am disappointed in myself because I was doing great at the beginning of the year on carnivore. Then I had a hysterectomy and I couldn’t tolerate eating hardly anything for a bit let alone meat. Since then I’ve struggled to not only get back carnivore but even just back to anything that’s not a crap diet and I’ve gotten myself addicted to the sweets again. But I’m going to try again. Come Jan 1 I am going cold turkey again. I am not doing Jan 1 for any reason other than it helps me keep track of days and because I also plan on quitting all alcohol and I have some nice champagne to drink for NYE. It will be a fresh start for 2025. My goal is to get beyond 45 days because that was how many days I went last January before I had surgery. It’s a mental thing for me to get past that point.

    I started doing carnivore back in October for a few reasons. 1) I had a few friends doing it so I did some research and thought it sounded like something I could do. 2) I quit smoking and wanted an eating routine/lifestyle so I wouldn’t gain weight with quitting. Since carnivore cut out sugars & carbs, it was perfect to keep me from stuffing my face with junk to offset my cravings.
    I’ve lost 22lbs & I feel great. I started cold turkey & no tracking.
    I’m just NOW learning I shouldn’t have done that because I don’t have a gallbladder… but 🤷‍♀️ I didn’t have issues … until this week. Lots of digestive issues. I’m in the bathroom A LOT. I’m also having food aversions with eggs and a few other types of beef. I thought maybe I messed up a prime rib roast and got food poisoning. Diarrhea, abdominal pain & nausea. But could it be keto flu? (I’m sorry for the descriptive information but I didn’t know a better way to explain)
    Thank you for all the information I’ve learned from you!! Because You, Laura Soath and SBG have been such a huge help for my journey!!

    • @JennyMitich
      @JennyMitich  19 днів тому +2

      Hello! A lot of people go cold turkey without a gallbladder and they are fine. As far as your sickness now, it could just be a stomach bug too. Make sure to stay hydrated and maybe try avoiding anything that you think might be causing it, and then reintroduce each item in a few weeks to see if you have a reaction.

I am a very consistent person, and I know I won't have any problems, just a little worried about losing weight. I am 5' tall, 105 lbs. Type 1 here, had to cut out the diet soda because even though it was not real sugar, my blood sugar spiked. It also really cut the cravings out. I don't have any cravings for the junk food. My mom made muffins the other day with my niece and nephew and my sugars were low so I did a taste test on 2 and that didn't affect my cravings at all, she didn't add the optional sugar on top.

    Hello Jenny! Just came across this video. I jumped in carnivore head first since the middle of September 2024 currently down 21 lbs. I cut out dairy. It really was not doing me any favors before carnivore. I always loved garlic and onions. Seasons do not bother me but onions do. No onions. Would like to add veggies with low lectins. Your thoughts? If yes what veggies do you suggest? I am trying to keep my carb consumption as low as possible. I have felt great since starting. My bad with the holidays season. I ate a couple of gingerbread cookies I made and had some red wine. I learned my lesson. My system said oh no you don't . All the best to you and the carnivore community in 2025!

When I look at a cut of meat or several strips of bacon, how does one assess this? Seeing actual pictures would be very helpful! Are we training our eyes to know these fat/protein ratios?

      Oxalate dumping is REAL. Also almonds, chard, beet greens are super high. 3 months carnivore… eliminated the biggest well over a year before starting. And I still have waves of dumping. Will probably have them for YEARS as my diet was ultra high in them for decades.
      Took me a 2 months to figure out which symptoms were actually dumping. Would try electrolytes 1st if no help then Id get down some VERY strong black tea & 1-2 squares of very dark chocolate. Like 90%. That amount of oxalates going in would stop it within 90 minutes.

    Whys. In early 2024, my home was destroyed by tornado with me in it. Multiple skull and spinal fracturesn a detached ear and my left eye reduced to a bloody mess with god knows what poking into it. I went carnivore to give me max nutrient dense nutrition, for max body healing. Things have gone well. And at 71 I'm now putting on muscle mass like never before. I've dealt with severe nighttime muscle cramps in the legs and feet, and vertigo in late mornings. I sense these are diet related. The cramps have disappeared with more attention to hydration and electrolytes. The vertigo is usually mild, but i dont know what's causing it. I suspect it is bouts of either low blood pressure or low blood sugar. Please tell me if you know.

      Vitamin D deficiency can lead to vertigo, you might want to test your levels and aim for the upper range by supplemening it, don't forget to take k2 and magnesium (as glycinate for example) with it.

      I'm just starting.
      I don't eat dairy.
      Only eggs and buffalo meat.
      I hate the taste of meat.
      Doest it get better after I push through the first week or so?
      Right now I am forcefully eating 1200 calories.
      Cuz I don't like the taste.

    I disagree, respectfully, about tracking. First, unless your name is Jenny, you dont want tracking as a long term lifestyle. You can just cut out all packaged carbs except for Wasa crackers and some berry fruits. Then make sure you're eating mostly meat and eggs every day. I never track, and i have successfully weaned off most carbs. Anyone can do it. Tracking is for the birds.

      Besides Keto Flu, some may experience other DETOXING symptoms too, like getting the Flu or a bad cold. You may find you pee more too as your body gets rid of excess fluid buildup, with the length of time for that varying for each person. 😊
