I still can’t believe that Tigerhawk soloed the entire predacons and TRANSMETAL 2 MEGATRON. Heck Tigerhawk even took all but megs out of the picture with ONE ATTACK
Yeah he is the most OP Character in terms of Offense. Rampage is Obviously a different kind of OP, though there is something he might have going for him.
Couple thoughts. Rattrap: he used the tail more like a whip/fishing pole. He used the rim shield once to block Megs tail blast. He still uses explosive charges. "Pop goes the crab cake." Primal: he can still fight in hoverboard mode. He grappled midair with Megatron at one point. Silverbolt: he could only carry one person at a time, shorties like Blackarachnia or Rattrap. TM2 Cheetor: he flew briefly in The Nemesis pt 1.
I figured the evidence that going Transmetal wasn’t a massive upgrade was the fact that Dinobot stayed a heavy hitter despite not getting upgraded. Remember how quickly Megatron jumped at the opportunity to get Dinobot back on his side? He wouldn’t have given a traitor a second chance if Dinobot wasn’t a massive potential asset.
I don't know if he actually jumped at it, more he felt like playing. It's clear all the way up till he's trying to make Dinobot Kill Rattrap that he doesn't actually believe Dinobot is switching sides back.
“Wonder what a Transmetal Fuzor would be like?” Now I’m picturing some rhino/ankylosaur Fuzor with a tank alt-mode. What would his name be? Slaphorn? Riotgear? Shieldor?
I also vaguely recall Rattrap using his demolition charges in season 2, but I don't remember the episode. The Transart TM Rattrap has that feature. Since that figure was your figure of the year, you should definitely review it someday.
I swear, there was one episode in season two where Rattrap actually used his demolition charges, but he only used them once and never again (for some reason)
I've read somewhere that the reason Optimus got his ass knocked out of the fight in Season 3 was mostly due to the fact it took a while to develop Megatron's dragon mode. Plus Tigerhawk was done DIRTY, all because his fucking toy got canned at the last minute, even though they tried to undo it, he was already killed off and spared the horrors of Beast Machines.
It is very strange that because they thought the Toy was going to be Discontinued they were like "Kill him off in the Last Episode", though I do think it makes his character even more tragic.
Rattrap used the shield in the first or second episode he got the upgrade in to block some shots, and he still has his arm charges, he uses one to gas Waspinator, and to blow up Ravage I believe Edit: He sticks them to Tarantulas's hands and blows up Ravages ship with them
I always assumed there was a touch of Transmetal in Fuzors. Not full, but wasn't it the blast that made them Transmetals that affected Quickstrike and Silverbolt's pods? I also always figured Megatron's work with the TM2 driver was enough to turn him into a Transmetal 2. Like residual radiation.
No Quickstrike and Silverbolt were just in a Radiocative Area, that's what broke their scanners. He didn't use the TM2 Driver, her absorbed G1 Megatron's Spark.
@@PerspectiveEnd Yes, he didn't use it to turn into a T2 directly, I'm just saying I always assumed due to the Macguffin nature of it, I can see his using it earlier in the season imbuing him with radiation that was later triggered by G1 Megatron's spark.

@@PerspectiveEndok. Just one question: will you do a review for Legacy Detritus? He’s one of three transformers I have, and one of them is Studio series Optimus
It makes sense then that Rhinox stays on the sidelines more and more throughout the series once the supermen and demigods start roaming the battlefield. Unfortunately, Waspinator is neither as wise, nor at the mercy of such an understanding leader.
I swear you are making the best Transformers Figure videos on youtube, but a search for Transformers reviews doesn't even pull up your channel. Injustice! Great work as always. Do you have any insight on possible new figures that will have a surprise combiner mode, kind of like Junkasuarus? UA-cam Bump this guy up please!!!
If I had to guess why optimal Optimus isn’t a transmetal 2 but dragon megatron is, it’s because of when the toys came out. Megatron came out in 1999, the same year the other tm2s came out, while Optimus came out in 1998, the year of the tm1s. Depth charge’s toy also came out in 1998.
There's also being dunked in lava. Megatron could had been melting during that upgrade and he also could had soaked in some Transmetal Driver energy before he took G1 Megatron's Spark
This might not change things much but Cheetor’s tail weapon wasn’t a whip. In the show the tail would become completely straight and become more of a spiked club.
Question of the comments. if you can pick one Power Rangers megazord to be given the Transformers treatment which one would you pick? By transforms treatment you could still transform into either an original robot mode or an existing robot mode just with more possibility my pic would be the battlefleet megazord from operation overdrive a.k.a. DaiVoyager it looks like an autobot version of tidal wave from transformers armada.
There actually was one like that already! The Rescue Megazord. It was like my FAVORITE Megazord of all time because of that. If I have to pic a new one, I mean I gotta go with either the Mighty Morphin, or the In Space Megazords.
If I were judging purely by design/appearance, the only character that was improved by the transmatal upgrades was Megatron. Specifically, his TM1 body since he had two functional hands, could fly, and had less kibble. Obviously, I'm not counting characters who were transmetal to begin with. There're all cool.
Ratraps section is inaccurate his shield did block some of Megatrons blast in early season 2 he also did use his charges against rampage once I think in the agenda but don't quote me on it but otherwise great video
We do see cheetor in his transmetal 1 body using a sniper but I think this is a Weapon he got from the base rather than in built weaponry. We see dinobot get extra weapons in coming of the fuzors, that’s likely where megatron got that Double barrel shotgun that one time aswell
The Dragonball reference is definitely appropriate. The transformations have a limited but also broad application. TM1 was fine. It more or less gave a fast travel perk to certain members. No more episodes like "Fallen Comrades" (I liked the episodes, but the fact Megs can cover the distance in 5 min the others took all episode to reach really stretches that disbelief) TM2 like in DB and DBZ, it feels like more thought was put into it and this is the more refined version. (Like Super Sayin 1 is just temper tantrum unlocked, but by SS2 there were rules, conditions and drawbacks since it was no longer a pocket deus ex machina. But it also slipped in the explanation department. Depth Charge comes in automatically as a TM2. Why? Bat-Manta has to fight the Joker on equal footing so instant upgrade. But Dinobot 2 needs a driver to access TM2. Why? So Cheetor has an explanation for hulking out into a TM2 version. Rather than the transformation nonsense I would have had a spectrum. At one end you have fully organic entity (Gaia) and at the other end you have fully synthetic (Machina). S1 Beasties sit on the Gaia side, Beast Machine Vehicons on the Machina side and transmetals range between.
Depthcharge isn't a Transmetal 2. You can tell because he's not Asymmetrical, which is the defining feature of Transmetal 2, along with the lost of the Vehicle modes, which Depthcharge had. He was a Transmetal 1.
Do you think rampage was the inspiration for transmetal 2. He can attack in both modes and has curuits and flesh visible in both modes to. And the first transmetal two was created using his spark
Do you think this show hated bumblebee. We don’t see him on the ark. He’s never mentioned. And unlike some others there are no toys that used his name.
I think Bumblebee was probably just unlucky. Like they needed Megatron and Optimus, then Starscream was made earlier in the season for other reasons, and they probably just quick made the first two Autobots who came to mind to fill out the ship, so Prowl and Ironhide, and Bumblebee just didn't luck out.
Given that Tigerhawk came at the cost of a solid mid-range and an mvp it's good that the result is a powerhouse. Otherwise it would be like trading Gohan and Krillin for Yamcha fresh off a wrecking. Still, Tigerhawk holds one of the top spot records for most messed up origin story, in my opinion. Would have been entertaining if the romantic bonds of their two comprising bots manifested as catty narcissism in retrospect.

So from what I got the top 3 are Optimal Optimus, Tigerhawk, and Depth Charge, makes sense, also, yes, still waiting for a new Depth Charge, idk why I like this guy so much I just do
Yeah the Top 3 on this faction for sure. Tigerhawk is Probably the most powerful, but again that changes depending on his connection to the Vok, and Depthcharge is OP for a Grunt, though he'd need that to fight Rampage.
@PerspectiveEnd Dang. I got flagged for spam and scamming for linking tfwiki in my reply. The transmetals page discusses how the cannon mode was something mainframe came up with as a workaround to Kenner not giving the TMs ranged weapons

Lastly glad you're doing this again
I mean I think I know, but I've never really played any of those games. And yeah but don't expect too many of them. I have enough characters for 1 more video, but that will be every BW character in the show.
Why would quickstrike possibly count as a transmetal fuzor, I mean I think I see some metal on his beast mode but that could also just be grey scales or carapace
Didn't watch it. Seems pointless. Frieza can blow up a planet with 1 hand, so it's moronic to put him against Megatron a guy who uses a Gun. They aren't even remotely on the same power level. Radditz would probably be a Threat to Megatron.
@@PerspectiveEnd they do bring in his IDW powers and the feats of durability from Cybertron getting moved back. It's a pretty fair fight and the animation is beautiful.
Not related to power levels, but I wish that the other 4 additional Beast Wars characters and other 8 Transmetals of Season 1 get Kingdom era figures, like a Deluxe Quickstrike, a Voyager Depth Charge, a Leader Rampage, a Voyager Dinobot II, a Voyager TM Optimus Primal, a Leader/Commander Optimal Optimus, a Deluxe TM Cheetor, a Voyager TMII Cheetor, a Deluxe TM Rattrap, a Leader TM Megatron, a Deluxe TM Tarantulas, and a Deluxe TMII Blackarachnia.
Hang in there. I think Hasbro will pause for Transformers 40th, but following (or maybe during) they'll resume and get around to some Transmetals. At least TM Rattrap, Cheetor and Tarantulas.
They are harder to judge because G1 was less serious than Beast Wars, so what happened in each episode was allowed to contradict what came before, and most people were supposed to be grunt level, so like 6 out of 10s would be the most normal stat.
I have but it feels less necessary for them, as the rules were either less defined for each of them, or they are all a lot closer. Like in G1 most of the characters are probably going to be like a 5 or 6 out of 10 in all stats.
Yeah, Crazyedemu is right, I know she's a Maximal but this video was going to be like 14 or 15 minutes long and the Predacons without her would have been like 8, so I moved her over to them since "She may be good but she still bad" and it was her original faction in the show and all... Well the original one we see her as at least. And thank you!
I'm sad that both terrorsuar and scorponok never got their transmetal forms in the show They had to die right before they got it. I wonder if they would have been useful if they had them in the show
Thank you so much for the comment. And possibly. I'm not sure. Their Sluge and Swoop are tempting me, but I kind of want to see what the whole team looks like together.
An fun and interesting video, but I'm not gonna lie, you lost me on Rattrap. With the smaller shield, I mostly remember his first fight with Megs, and honestly, it wasn't bad. Considoring it shielded him from Meg's arm cannon shots. And as for "loosing detonator charges" What are you talking about? He still has them in use. The time he planted bombs inside Ravage's ship (or more specificly, on Tarantulas hands) Or the time he saved Silverbolt by bouth fooling, and "glithing" Waspinator with one of them.
I don't remember him using them, the Transarts toy has them, but that's just a reference to his older form as far as I remember. I obviously didn't rewatch the whole show to make this video, but I do watch it at least once every two years or so. You are right about that with Ravages ship though. But I don't think we see where he gets them.
To a Robot? Because they are made of metal. Blunt damage is more effective against armor, since you aren't trying to penetrate it, you are just transferring the force to what ever's behind the armor.
Honestly Cheetor's whole crush on Blackarachnia is one of the few parts of Beast Wars I dislike. It just feels really unnecessary and makes Cheetor seems even worse than he already is.
Nothing is more powerful than a Maximal in a firefight with one minute left in the episode
Dear God! You are Right!

maybe cuz more metal equals being slightly more heaviness lel hence the bare "upgrade"
Possibly? Thought that would be a very esoteric Justification.
Is optimal Optimus even a transmetal? The way I saw it, transmetal forms could only be acquired through vok interactions and he got it from the matrix
He is most definitely not a Transmetal.
Great video.
Thanks, I always worry these are too simple looking.
Nah, give my boi Cheetor a 1.0 at least for tactics, he did use his flight mode for recon at least
It hurt him more often than it helped.
Why would quickstrike possibly count as a transmetal fuzor, I mean I think I see some metal on his beast mode but that could also just be grey scales or carapace
I know this technically isn't on the subject matter but did you watch the Frieza vs Megatron death battle.
I do love me some maxiamals and prediacons. How about we throw in the autiobots as well?
They are harder to judge because G1 was less serious than Beast Wars, so what happened in each episode was allowed to contradict what came before, and most people were supposed to be grunt level, so like 6 out of 10s would be the most normal stat.
Wouldnt Tigerhawk also count as a Fuzor on a couple levels, given he's not only a fusion of a Tiger and a Hawk, but a fusion of Airazor and Tigatron
Just to let you know Cheetor TM2 flew in 1 episode. In nemesis part 1
That's a questionable scene, and he's not shown to do it twice. So I discount it.
You can discount all you want cannon is still cannon. But still love the vid and keep up the great work.
Maxiamal?
Was that on the original boxes?
Have you considered maybe doing these for more transformers shows? 👀
I have but it feels less necessary for them, as the rules were either less defined for each of them, or they are all a lot closer.
Like in G1 most of the characters are probably going to be like a 5 or 6 out of 10 in all stats.
Quick question what about blackaiachina she was maximal after her transmetal 2 upgrade? Love your work ❤
He put her on the predacon side to boost the length of that video, he mentioned it near the end I think
Hey, I’m trying to find a video where you say “shiny thing good” but I can’t seem to find any, can you give me a vid where you say that?
This was harder for me to do than I thought it would be. I swear I say this all the time.
ua-cam.com/video/9yCBRm6b0vs/v-deo.html
Thanks you! I actually spent two hours trying to find one,I thought you said it all the time.
I feel like I do too, but it seems like its more rare than that.
I'm sad that both terrorsuar and scorponok never got their transmetal forms in the show
They had to die right before they got it.
I wonder if they would have been useful if they had them in the show
How is that algorithm dreaming you?
I fear for dear transmutate
I mean she will have a Strong Weaponry Stat.
anyone else notice the typo on the character sheet? (maxiamal instead of maximal)
Yeah, some how I didn't notice that, I've been using these character cards for two years, so that's probably on me.
Cheetor became an incel. Lol I'm dead
I'm happy to slay.
Any chance you’ll be completing newage dinobots? Off topic use but comment makes algorithm facist happy.
Thank you so much for the comment. And possibly. I'm not sure. Their Sluge and Swoop are tempting me, but I kind of want to see what the whole team looks like together.
Who is the most skilled fighter in the show on either sides
It's probably a Tossup Between Dinobot, and Blackarachnia.
The time he planted bombs inside Ravage's ship (or more specificly, on Tarantulas hands)
Or the time he saved Silverbolt by bouth fooling, and "glithing" Waspinator with one of them.
I noticed you posted 0.1 second later than usual
Lies! LIIIIIEEEEEEESSS!!!!

When are you reviewing SS Mirage?
I don't have one so not for a while.
I don’t think we saw Bumblbee on the ark in beast wars
Comment for the UA-cam algorithm
Thank you kind Goku Black.
Isn’t Tigerhawk a Transmetal fuzor?
I guess he's TECHNICALLY a TM2 Fuzor, you would be correct in that, but he doesn't have the Vehicle mode. Yet for some reason Megatron did.
@@PerspectiveEnd oh yeaaahh… weird
is silverbolts beast mode useful
It's got a high carry weight, and it can still fight somewhat effectively.
Why would morning stars do more damage than swords
To a Robot? Because they are made of metal. Blunt damage is more effective against armor, since you aren't trying to penetrate it, you are just transferring the force to what ever's behind the armor.
I’m one of the few TM2 Cheetor fans
Love this
Maxi-amal
Yeah, seems Hoovy made a typo I never noticed. I've been looking at that card for like 2 years now, so it's honestly more on me than him.
Honestly Cheetor's whole crush on Blackarachnia is one of the few parts of Beast Wars I dislike. It just feels really unnecessary and makes Cheetor seems even worse than he already is.
