put a dollar on an Amazon gift card once a month for all you visas and mastercards or put a dollar on each card at the gas pump and pay it 20 days later to avoid payment dates, reporting dates and all the problems. A card not used for 45 days in considered dormant and does not help on the history of payments portion of your score.
Hi Mace, I do regret not putting a recurring bill such as Spotify or Netfilx on this card.
With that said I don't think closing someone's account without a heads-up is a good business practice from Petal's end.
Also the reason I got this card was for history of accounts open in order to increase the average age of accounts, not history of payments.

I can understand why you were annoyed, but not everyone can be approved for
anything from a major bank like Chase. And they’re 5/24 rule also makes it a bit
problematic to apply if your over. Thanks for the video.
That's true and I agree with you, if a person's credit isn't the best Petal could be a great option to help rebuild. Chase only has a few no annual fee cards, so I feel that the people who are getting the Petal card and who it's marketed towards don't have to worry about 5/24.

It’s supposedly the new way credit works now. They look at peoples accounts instead of actually credit. Which is BS because everyone else looks at your score, but cards look at your account now..
As far as I know only Petal is doing this which I think might really pay for people who have gone through some financial struggles and have a bad credit score but a good amount of cash saved up.

I would imagine you can, though I don't know if you can get it in india or if you will need to get the card in the US. Also I am not sure if there are foreign transaction fees or not.

I don't think I ever used it, if I did it would have been the first month of ownership so at least 11 months.
@@AviSpira yeah, I think most would agree that not giving a customer a heads up is bad business. A good faith warning never hurt anybody. Especially when people are dealing with a lot financially.
I thought about applying for this card because I want to buy a house. Is there an alternative without a high apr?
Congratulations! That's a huge step in life! Yes there is,
the AMEX Blue Cash Everyday card has 15 months 0% interest (It might be my next card for the cashback).
I understand these are hard times, so when the 15 months run out out, and if you are still in need of credit
I would look into some other 0% APR for a limited time cards instead of general low interest cards.

Hi Lalo, I believe exactly a year. If I could go back I would have just used the card once every 3 months to be safe and keep it open.
