I've never felt more seen tbh Florida is really bad at teaching kids history but I would be lying if I said I didn't enjoy all the trips to cool historical sites especially St.Augustine's fort

Daniel Cuevas It's been a good 10 years since I saw it so my memory is a bit faded but from what I can remember it wasn't super big, apple tree sized I guess? It was fall when I saw it so all the leaves were dropped and that made it look smaller than it probably was. They trimmed it when it needed it as well so it wouldn't be huge.

Placebø Cømplex I appreciate the recommendation. I'll definitely watch that series. But as person who works in a creative field myself (TV), I will just say that everyone borrows from everyone. It's perfectly fine to be inspired by something and make your own thing with a spin on it. I really like that BuzzFeed has done their own history show, because as a history nerd I like that they can reach an audience who might not normally care as much.
solojones1138 I totally get needing inspiration and ideas. And I understand having to look at others work to find that. BUT, Buzz feed is known to completely rip off other smaller channels content. The episode where they get "taught by a witch" or whatever that witchcraft episode was, was completely stolen from a smaller channel. Who went to the same place months prior and filmed a video.
Genuinely looking for inspiration and ideas to help expand your own art style is fine! Completely taking the idea and only tinkering it a small bit is plagerizim. It's theft. And that's what buzfeed is all about. Don't get me wrong. Their are a few videos I do like! But I do not support their "creativity", that's based on time crunches (on their hard working employees) and theft, one bit.
I get quite defensive over artistic theft. I've had it happen to me several times. And there's a major difference from needing inspiration and stealing.
Placebø Cømplex Fair enough, but this particular series is not that similar to the one you linked to. Cracked articles are actually more similar. But this format where they do a round table is in fact different from these other examples anyway. Personally I like seeing BuzzFeed dip into this type of content. I know people who've worked on their videos, so I do understand how they often operate. But to me Ruining History is more unique and high quality than some of their other stuff. So I'm just saying I'd like to see more stuff like this more often.
I continue to feel that "And reciting original poetry to every surviving inhabitant" deserves more love.
I live in Fort Wayne, the town he was buried in, and every fall we have a festival where all these amish-vibed ppl come sell their stuff! we have a baseball team called the tincaps, after his pot, and their mascot is johnny :)

I have a story of a distant cousin who was a great grandmother she never wore shoes NEVER not even when she was older she walked the dirt roads for miles in middle of butt nowhere louisiana one day she walked the road she always had this native brown old woman is leaving church to go home she tripped a little and when they asked 'what happened' she just said she stepped on something turns out she stepped on an iron nail but when they checked her foot there was nothing and the nail was almost crumpled her calused foot was unaffected thus she is the iron foot grandma and will forever be a badass in my book

My mom had a black wolf named Sagan growing up, no vet could say what kind of dog breed he was but eventually we found out that he was a wolf. Bit me in the stomach when I was a baby. He didn't bite hard; it was a warning because he felt I was taking over my mom's attention from him. He didn't really draw too much blood. Still remember it.
Hope you didn't have to put him down also the hell she get a black wolf and how could no vet tel that it was a freaking wolf

She got him when her first husband went to the pound; he stuck his hand in every cage and the first one that bit him was Sagan. He wanted the dog to protect her, is what she says
He ran away after biting me; my dad flipped out and attacked him, looked into his eyes and he just left. We found his body not far from the house. It was gruesome. A mountain lion had killed him. We accidentally walked into the scene and scared it off when it was eating. It's tracks were everywhere in the mud
@@jacobpickens2283 We found out he was a wolf watching an episode of Sons of Tuscon lol. The one where he found a wolf and thought it was a dog, but found out later that it wasn't by watching a nature documentary. The whole time, my mom was like, "Oh wow that really looks like Sagan," and when we saw that scene she just said it made a lot of sense. Wolves only imprint on one human usually, and don't take it well when others enter the picture.
We googled it and there were just so many pictures of wolves that look like him.

Two things::
1. Johnny Appleseed was a huge deal for elementary schools here in Washington state. Don't know why but he is. And I was one of the many students who fought tooth and nail to play Johnny Appleseed in the school play. TLDR, I didn't get the role, and I wound up playing his disapproving school teacher in the play.
2. I didn't know that Applejack from MLP was named after booze!! That's fucking hilarious to me! XD
