  • I received a Ñuke Delta Grill as a gift. This is an Argentine gaucho style grill. (Sometimes spelled Nuke)
    I did an initial review / unboxing / assembly review video. Then a video of my first cook. Those videos can be seen below. After that first cook, I made five practice cooks. This is a summary of those five practice cooks and I talk about cleaning and maintaining the grill.

    I am not affiliated in any way with Real Fire BBQ / Ñuke USA or the retailer BBQ Guys. I have no personal interest in selling this grill nor talking people out of buying it. The opinions and observations expressed in this video are my own.

    Direct pit cooking, charcoal, and wood is who I am too Lew. I'm liking what I see in this Nuke Cooker. The practice cooks went well. I know that chicken was good. If this grill comes up missing, you may have to talk with Hanna. (Or her boyfriend) LOL Very nice follow up review.

    I totally agree with you about the fire. Love the whole ordeal of working with charcoal, wood chucks and all that comes with cooking on a grill/smoker. If I want it easy, I'll just cook inside.

      On a side note, it's not what your cooking on, it's who's cooking it. Grill on primo. Good looking grill. Wish I had the room for one.

      budlightdaddyjuan I make no apologies for being a charcoal snob. Gas and electricity are for modern stoves to make them safe for indoor cooking.

      There are no dampers to set, no top and bottom vents, quite different from my kettle grills and drum smokers. All heat is controlled by how many coals you have under the food and how high or far away the food is from the coals. Thanks for watching Tom.

    Nice 5 cook review- sounds like the company will make things right for you. I don’t know if it is possible but back in my should have been in college days where I worked at a pizzeria- we would flip our slate cooking blocks over about every other month and this basically cooked off any thing that built up on the slate - almost kept them looking brand new.

    • @BigLewBBQ

      MeatCranium BBQ AND REVIEW I don’t know if the ash between the tiles will be a huge problem. It is sort of working like grout. It keeps the tiles in place and seems to prevent more ash from falling through. The metal does have a protective coating on it.

    How heavy duty is this grill? Is the metal very thick and robust?
    (The metal of the lid appears a little flimbsy. Looking for a hands-on opinion. )
    Cheers!

    • @BigLewBBQ
      @BigLewBBQ  2 роки тому

      This month make three years, I use it frequently year round. Certainly it doesn’t look new anymore, but it is by now means worn out. I expect it to last many mor years. About three weeks ago I made a video with it called “arroz con pollo”. In that video you can see how it’s been holding up.

    • @Food-Fire-and-Featherboards
      @Food-Fire-and-Featherboards 2 роки тому +1

      @@BigLewBBQ Thanks. I watched that, and it indeed looks in great shape. The lid sounds 'tinny' when it closes, so I was concerned it is a very thin flimsy metal, hence asking.
      I'm looking for something to essentially be a gift to me from a recently lost family member. Something they would have bought for me, given my passion of cooking outdoors, had they known that their time was running out. I want it to therefore be something to last me a life time as a reminder. Not sure if this is it.... The Puma model looks much more robust.
      Thanks for sharing. That looks like a nice dish by the way. Cheers!

    • @BigLewBBQ

      I’m very impressed with it. I think it is fairly solid. It’s not extremely thick ¼ inch steel but if it was it would hardly be manageable. It is already a very heavy grill.
