1 hour grilled ribs recipe

  • 1 hour grilled back ribs on the gas grill. I came out to the camp site with my father in law and family. I wrap these ribs in foil. Place them on the grill at medium heat bone side down for 30 min then flip 30 additional min meat side down. Then unwrap and Sauce and sear about 2 min per side. Give these ribs a go.

    I think this is actually the first meat (or rib) video I've seen where someone keeps the membrane on. Cooking just keeps on getting gradually even more confusing as each day passes by. 😵

      You take the membrane off if you want them to fall apart. Fall off the bone membrane off. Harder ribs membrane on. It's just a preference

      Always a matter of preference like everyone says.
      You can also take the middle road like what he did and score the membrane. Doing so will help cook the membrane side faster and retain the structure. Downside is the meat is more firmer but again that's preferable to people.

      No they hold the ribs together and make for a firmer rib which some folks prefer. I always just score mine like he did and they come out fine.

    Wait, I'm confused.
    You wrapped them first and threw them on the grill.
    Unwrapped and said 30 minutes meat side down and then 30 minutes bone side down.
    How long wrapped?
    I've done this and it's usually 2 hours for hot and fast.

    Anyone trying this and expecting a to get quality ribs is kidding themselves. That meat is going to be very chewy and the fat hasn't been rendered enough. You should stick to making your ribs in the oven or crockpot if you believe this is good ribs

      It's literally preference. Our shop has once awards and we smoke with the membrane on.
      Membrane off = fall off the bone. Membrane on = grill style ribs

      The longer you cook the more tender it will be. These ribs would be more on the chewy side but thefes nothing wrong with that. It's all preference.

      @@janedoe1107 pro tip. Cook them on the grill till desired time then finish them in the oven wrapped in foil until they are gushy feeling feeling like they are super tendor. They will be the most tender ribs of your life.

    You don't get a participation ribbon for this one. That's not enough time to break down the collagen and give the ribs that good flavor. Ribs need to be smoked low and slow. Period. (Also remove the silver skin) You ruined a rack of ribs for attention. Shame
