  • In this video, cook some marinated chicken legs, or drumsticks, on my Weber Kettle charcoal grill. I marinated the chicken overnight in some Roasted Red Pepper Italian Dressing and seasoned it with some kosher salt and Johnny's Seasoned Pepper amzn.to/2sW2mEu while it was cooking on the grill. The cooking time is about an hour or until the chicken reaches 165-175 degrees F.

The bad thing about a Weber grill is they put the temp gauge on the opposite side of the vent. You want the vents above your food so the gauge sits above fire - hard to get a true temp of what the food side is unless you use a temp probe on that side. Slow N' Sear makes grills with vent & temp gauge on the same side. I just ordered another grill but I went with a Weber only because I wanted a 26 inch and Slow N' Sear doesn't make them "yet"

Glad to report ...because of you I bought the Weber gas grill. I also bought the 6' connector so I can use a full size LP bottle.

Do it! I got mine over the winter and have enjoyed every cook I've done. This is the summer of charcoal for me.

Italian dressing and Weber’s garlic Parmesan seasoning it’s great! Why don’t you ever use any wood when cooking?

Awesome looking chicken, I'm doing legs the first time on charcoal today. So many differing views about cook temps and times! And I found something on minion cooking! What the what?!

Thanks for the video, great-looking chicken legs. I bought a Weber master touch kettle grill. Love it so far. I think I’ll invest in one of those slow n sear pans you have from ABC bbq.

The grill is pretty short and my back is pretty bad so raising it up higher is a lot easier for me. Thanks for watching!

Jim I did the same thing last night. Italian dressing marinated chicken legs on the Weber with SNS+. I didn’t video it but they came out excellent. I‘ve done it before and I’ll do it some more.
Those looked very much like my dinner last night.
