Another reason to avoid small orders is those one's seem to be the most trouble with dropoff and those customer's more likely to give a bad review. I have a couple lower reviews just starting out and there really isn't anything that I could have done better. People who tip well anyway are a different kind of person and have a different outlook on life and that's the type of person I want to cater to. I've learned to protect myself within the app by marking the orders as not ready when I arrive (if they aren't ready to go). Some of those lowball orders probably were sitting at the restaurant a long time because no one wanted them and I don't like that I got dinged for the order coming late to the customer when it had nothing to do with me. I'm also reevaluating taking stacked orders because I don't like that the second person has to wait extra long for their delivery and somehow they end up being the person who tipped the best and should be receiving their food first. I know other people have said these things, I am just confirming it for myself. Thanks for the tips and motivation BDA!
You can deliver stacks in whichever order you want fyi. Passing on stacks doesn’t seem like a good option to me bc they’re lucrative. I agree with everything else
@@BestDasherAlive Ok, thanks for the feedback. I'll get more of the hang of it and confident with knowing what I can tweak in the app. Losing out on stack money would not be lucrative, you're right. But I feel bad when the second person has to wait long because the first order was like an apartment or campus dorm and takes too long. Today, DD and UE tried to do some add ons that would have interrupted an order I was already on and I wasn't confident to accept them. I had to unassign one that I picked up additionally when the first order became a problem with time. It was a bummer because the second order was decent pay. Also to be clear I am not talking about multi-apping at the same time. I shut the other apps off after I take a order.
Dashing at night is the most lucrative in my area but it's sometimes also a nightmare when you can't see the address.
Yup. Especially poorly labeled apartments.
This channel is the only legit resource I've found for tips as a new dasher. All the other channels are just people trying to get clicks but this channel has real advice. I had to modify my strategy a bit being in a small market and I take some smaller orders if I know it's an easy dropoff, but I'm now managing to make more from dashing 30 hours a week than what I made at my full-time factory job. Riding that 11% acceptance rate all the way to the bank.
awesome
In Vegas, grocery items number counts as 1 crate of items equals 1 item, total scam , haven’t seen that in California yet tho
I’ve seen both in ca. if it’s grocery but not shop then I know it’s a bunch of bags counted as one. If it’s grocery and shop then it shows the items
DoorDash must think I'm their garbage man because all they send me is trash
Me too.
@Don I do, I have a 13% acceptance rate. But day in and day out all I get is bad orders.
@Don I'm in a great area, I make $300 per day but 95% of my money comes from Uber
@@sl5946Yeah it's doordash that changed and they are only letting the dumb people who keep 50% above get the good orders now. If you're making good money with uber thats good, just leave doordash as a second option to get SOME good orders every now and then. Thats what i do
Nice video, started, slowly , Louisiana. Mardi Gras traffic blocking, jamming roads. Nope, not working.
I had an order for PetSmart and the pay was decent but I was trippin about seeing 25 items. I said screw it I needed the guaranteed money right then. It was 1 dog shampoo and.... 24 live crickets...that the employee bags up for me 😂😎
I picked up 100 live crickets one time 🦗 it’s actually in one of my ride alongs 😅
Hey man, I wanted to thank you for all the tips and insights on how to doordash the best way possible. I scored about $90 in three and a half hours from your recommendations with least amount of fuel and miles used!
💪
I've only been doing this a couple of weeks but I do think it's highly market specific and that DD is prioritizing new drivers and possibly folks with high acceptance rates. When my top dasher ran out this week Ive been seeing a lot less offers, they are low pay (sub $5) or high miles, and just trying to schedule in advance is difficult so I go out and try to grab a spot on the fly. DD is giving new drivers top dasher which helps but I was still getting garbage offers while I had that and chose to decline. I refuse to take offers that are wasting my time or would cause me to lose money. I know they're trying to run a business but so am I.
They don’t prioritize new dashers. Markets def differ. Dd isn’t just “trying to run a business” they’re keeping everything they can for themselves. They could easily distribute more money to dashers all across America and in a major way increase wealth. Same with Amazon etc. they intentionally don’t do that and pay the bare minimum to get enough workers
And “they” isn’t “Jeff bezos” it’s the biggest shareholders in the companies which are the biggest shareholders in all major corporations all intentionally holding us down chasing sheckles
@@BestDasherAlive I agree with all of that. I get what kind of business they are running and that mindset. I'm saying from their perspective they are running their business in the most profitable way. They are prioritizing new dashwrs by giving them Top Dasher. It absolutely made a difference in my situation and when it ran out there was a drastic change in my ability to dash and what orders I saw. The app would say the area was not busy but I know that's not true. Today was busy though so they had no choice but to throw me orders and they were pretty decent. I predict that things will pick up and I will be able to get more of the pay I was making prior to the change I've been seeing in my area. I'm not complaining about my area either. It's pretty good but I haven't been seeing the type of orders you've been talking about on your channel. I see mostly sub $10 and highest I've seen is $18.
@@BestDasherAlive DD actually isn't profitable at all. They are bleeding $ at an alarming rate. The platform might be gone in a couple years if they don't find a consistent strategy to make $.
Amazon is “bleeding” money too… so is “the United States”
How much money a company has versus how they spend money to make it look like “they’re bleeding” are very different
Good video Professor !!
The decline tactic won't work anymore, some markets (mine included) are slowly rolling out a simpler decline option.
I was wondering, I only see a decline option in San Diego with no reasons why you declined
Michigan here, the decline reasons just disappeared for me.
they still work if you dont update the app
@@BestDasherAlive so 2% of the users now lol
I feel like auto-declining (let the time run down) is semi better than declining and choosing a reason. I noticed that when I manually declined, I would get spurts of no orders afterwards, even when the zone is busy.
BDA runs on data, not feelings.
Not seem that yet.
Hey! You haven't been on for a minute. If you feel up to it, let us know your ok

Wsup, I’ve got like 500 dashes right now, I took a lot of orders, too many. But if I declined, they asked why like usual. Today though, 2/7/23 they didn’t ask me why I’m declining for more then half of my declines. Just wonders why they not asking everyone I decline now? Also I was at 80% in one day now at 53%. I just don’t wanna loose my priority big money orders. under z50% you lose that. This ever happened to anyone else?
apparently if you updated the app declines are gone. i havent updated
U live in Cali deliver on an ebike and don’t look burnt? What do you put on your face because I looked burnt and I’m mexican
Slowly increase time in sun and skin adjusts no need nothin
when i click decline it no longer asks the reason..... anyone else???
Same
The problem that I'm having in my area with low paying orders $5 and under is that's all they offer and if you don't accept them your idle for 30 to 40 minutes 😔
Watch this: ua-cam.com/video/rEvo8VZAyeo/v-deo.html
Hey bro I got a question?
When it comes to declining orders I can't find the options for declining it at all. Where d you see it? I only see it when I accept an order and then decline it after i've accepted it.
Its in the top right corner bro
@@gsesquire3441 i think he means it no longer asks why you want to decline
They’re gone now here are updated tips: ua-cam.com/video/rEvo8VZAyeo/v-deo.html
First option is no longer relevant. Doordash finally removed all the "decline" options, so its gonna be just a decline button now like uber
Still there for me
@@BestDasherAlive Did you update the app? Im very close to your area so the updates just arrived like yestarday
I won’t be updating anytime soon then
I noticed that too
What about when you unassign? The options gone there too?

Could you please help me? I've been trying to become a Dasher for the past week, want to try it. I keep trying to sign up and nothing works. I keep getting the " Something went wrong, go back and try again " error code when I do it on pc and there's nothing I can do about it. I tried it on mobile already and it gives me endless flashing loading screens that take me nowhere and it keeps resetting, so I can't do anything at all. I called support, no help at all. She just said " There's no errors on our end so I'll send you browser troubleshooting " BS that doesn't mean anything. So I literally can't become a Dasher when I WANT to. They won't help me. What do I do? I'm on pc and I'm clicking continue to continue my application and again, loading, blinks, loading again, and then restarts me back at the same continue application screen. it literally won't let me become a driver.
What area do you dash in sir? I have never seen some of the 30, 40, 50, etc dollar bangers you so routinely post..... 😭😱😅
Do I have to wait to receive the red bag and red card to start dashing?
no. just start
Why he wear a helmet indoors? looks like he just got off the shortbus

@@BestDasherAlive but why you wear a helmet inside a house?
@@n2cable gotta be ready4 shortbus
AKA you use car to dash option, but you ride a e-bike?
Correct
I use a scooter
How do I give a reason for decline in new doordash home screen 2023
Idk I haven’t updated app and prob not gonna now that I k ow this
When you say that you accept the shop orders and then assign it to someone else, does that lower your completion rate?
Yes
Watc this updates video: ua-cam.com/video/rEvo8VZAyeo/v-deo.html
Is it better to dash per order or per hr now?
Did my first test on this today. Video soon
Should I just accept the 50 or 100 orders first, before I start declining
bad orders?
ua-cam.com/video/z9-CHMJLkSM/v-deo.html
I once got an offer for a 60-item shopping order for a $5 payout💀
reverse banger
I just came along this channel and I am wondering of you are. full time dasher?
i’m the best dasher alive
Is it important to have a 50% acceptance rate or should I be super picky?
If you're only doing doordash I think having 50% and above is important to make good money, but if you multi-app(which you should) you 100% don't have to keep it at 50 at all
Keeping your acceptance rate above70 allows you to dash at any time without having to schedule so any which way they got us. Set a goal 🥅 and score.
Used to not matter at all. Now I’m seeing above 50 is better but be selective above 50
I'm at 5% and I still get and only accept the orders that make me money. Don't care what anybody says if you are not getting paid what you deserve it is not worth it.
I wish every single dasher would watch and follow this I live in a huge delivery city and they just keep sending $5 or less delivery and they only do that because people are accepting them. Stick together guys!!!
yea we all gotta say no to those. they raise the pay if we do
Did DoorDash do away with the reasons why you are declining an order? I only see decline on the top and no options to list why I am declining. Thanks WBD, I grew up surfing Trestles in your hood
DoorDash keeps sending me the exact small order after I decline it. As to say "YOU ARE TAKING THIS".... Does this happen to you also?
I noticed on my last dash that the decline reasons no longer showed up.
if you updated the app declines are gone now (from what i've heard, i havne't upated my app yet for that reason...)
Decline reasons reappeared for me yesterday after being gone for a month.
so if everyone declines a small offer then who picks em up lmao
dd finds someone to accept or increases the pay on the offer until someone accepts
@@BestDasherAlive 🤙
Also in my area it's kinda hard to avoid traffic since it's literally heavy traffic, so what I do during 4-5pm around that time I just go for those 6-8 mile ones but the pay has to be above $19+ that way I can make a certain amount in 1 hour and it gets me faster to my goal at the end of the shift. Plus i love driving so this way always works for me xD
Ebike
Welp they took out the reason why you decline now
still there if you don't update the app
