Never knock or ring unless the customer requests it, that's right. Sometimes it's a matter of a family member sleeping (think babies and toddlers) or a pet that goes ballistic.
💯
And in 2022 must also add work from home. We are glorified Amazon UPS drivers minus the pay lol
Good to know!
They usually have a sign on the door or delivery instruction, worst is the instruction in en route and you're inn traffic
I had a customer tell me to knock instead of ring because they have a newborn they also had dogs they went ballistic anyway
I hate apartments, I always would zoom in on destination before accepting, getting lost in some apartments with crazy configuration is anxiety central, And if a delivery is highway miles mostly that is a easy trip too, even if it is under 2 dol a mile.
Apartments can be tricky but especially if you’re mostly or always in the same area it’s worth learning then. I’m usually on ebike, so no highway, but yes in car that def makes sense and I do the same sometimes if I’m in a car
Just started Dashing for extra cash. I never realized there's a whole genre of Dasher vlogs. Crazy 😆 Lots of value here. Thanks for the tips.
dankest niche on the world wide web
The "Agent" tip saved me on my first day dashing. Had a stacked order and forgot to mark my first order as delivered by the time I delivered the second one. Since I wasn't in the delivery location of order #1 it wouldn't let me mark it as completed, but I got in touch with a human who fixed it in a few minutes!
Closing and re-opening the app is another great tip - DD won't forget that you're in the middle of a delivery so don't be afraid to do it, sometimes the app just gets buggy and needs a reboot.
💯
I uad the app shut down on me during a pick up at a restaurant i called support we rebooted the app n i was good to go.
always call when you get the order and ask if the client wants any condiments.
even if it already has it still ask.
then text once you leave and say you hope you enjoy everything well
they normally give 5 stars review. i saw a video like this a few years before i started and it works. 🤙🏼
No no no no no
These tips are legit.
Yea
Anybody looking for some good advice? Listen to this guy this video. He knows exactly what he's talking about. I listen to his tips and everything that he was saying in the video and I now feel like my trips doing doordash on well worth it now instead of running here and there for small amounts for a lot of miles when I can do it the opposite higher pay and lower miles. I used to always think that the acceptance rate was priority and I will try my best to keep it above 50%. Then at times I was willing to let it go under 50% because they were certain orders that I just refused to take. So after listening to him I'm definitely getting better and I'm on to something else. Thanks for the tips bro
Yeah but that’s the thing. Not all of us live in big cities like Los Angeles or New York. Sure you’ll make 2k in big cities. I live north of west palm beach florida so I’ll be lucky if I get an order more then $10. I think I got one order my first time door dashing and it was $15. Then after that everything was under $10. And they want me to drive far as shit to deliver it. I made $50 but I spent $20 in gas. I just don’t believe it’s possible to make 2k a week unless you are doing this 24/7. People who have kids and a million things do to can’t make this possible.
@@valeriekinder yeah that's definitely true. I understand what you're saying though. I also Tuesday in Pensacola, Florida and West Palm Beach is about the same size as here. But the money is there a definitely can be made driving less miles. You just have to use your decline option like I do and don't be afraid to go under 50%. Also, even though you get those orders where they send you far out, don't accept those orders. I used to do that in the beginning and learned that it was a big mistake because it seems like it's good but it takes you 30 minutes just to get there sometime so I know exactly where you're coming from.
I love that you do your videos with your helmet on! Safety first!!
I just can’t get it off 🫤
Love it I have been following all your tips and have been very helpful
💯
Great tips. Appreciate it brother.
This is probably the best delivery info video I've watched. Thx!
Glad it was helpful!
Tip for keeping food extra warm, put it in a DD insulated bag then put on front passenger seat and turn seat warmers on high. You're welcome!
Great advice😊
Brother, love watching your videos. Just started dashing not to long ago and just got a talaria. I want to start doing what your doing and need a bag tour and maybe how you stay safe on the roads with your surron. Thanks DD have a great day! Keep dashin u kill
Bag tour is on the way! What do you mean by safety on sur ron? Like just general don’t get hit by cars?
Great insight! Seasoned dasher here but love to hear your view on the algorithm. That’s the key factor for sure! Thanks! I’ve subbed. Keep up the great work!

Haha that person dragging their pizza in was the funniest 🤣
Relatable for many
This is a great video, just got a new subscriber! Keep up the great work. I like to use the timestamp app for my pictures when its a leave at the door drop off as well, it helps.
That time stamps the photo I’m assuming?
@@BestDasherAlive Yeah with the time, date and address. It helped me out a fee times with Grubhub as well
hey, so your tip about the two dollars per mile saved my ass last night and the acceptance rate being bullshit also save my ass and DoorDash in for a month and I had the most successful night last night almost making $200. I am in a busy area, but I kept getting stuck with small orders and far away orders, and so I was only averaging like $60 I was like what the heck I know I can be making more cash. sure enough it was me not picking the right orders
Saw your video that blew up months back but thought you’d drop this UA-cam stuff after a minute. Come to find out you’re still churning out solid guides like this one right here, good stuff broski you earned the sub stay hustling
Best UA-camr Alive 🏆😉
He is absolutely correct!
You are correct
Dude I love your freaking name Daddy Dasher 😅 . On point 💯. 😅
Good tips
I’ve been taking all orders DoorDash has been sending me I’m doing Uber which is OK but I want to also do DoorDash and it’s much harder I find when you’re new I’m at about 150 deliveries now and I heard when you get over 200 as long as you have all the good rates which I do but I am 100% I’ve accepted 100% of everything and I started noticing that they’re sending me more not such great ones just occasionally so I was concerned with declining the acceptance rate because I’m still building myself. What kind of recommendations can you give to a new door dasher?
The danger with your shopping tip is how frequently some companies change their packaging. When i used to work at a grocery store the online shoppers often had trouble locating items for that reason
That does happen sometimes
I've noticed when I get to restaurants if the food isn't ready when I get there other dashers will wait till the pick up time to hit the reason for the wait, like if it says pick up by 11:22 and they get there by 11:18 they'll wait till 11:22 before hitting the reason they are waiting for the food. Do you put the reason in right away if the food isn't done when you arrive or do you wait till that pick up time? Also, what is your thoughts on what is too long to wait for food, when do you decide it isn't worth it, unasign the order and move on?
I put it as soon as I know what’s up 🤷🏻♂️
Oh I’ve every single restaurant fast food especially they all take the cops up they do all that stuff so it’s pretty good and McDonald’s and a few other places they put the cupholders in the McDonald’s big McDonald’s bag with the smaller bags inside and a cup holder for the pop are the drinks and yeah it’s pretty good so I haven’t had to carry any tape but maybe it’s a good idea just in case.

Do you have to go up to 3 rd level apartments etc. ? Or do u drop off out at front door or right inside door? I’ve been taking my orders in buildings etc. cause ima dude, but I tell my girl not to late at night for security reasons. What u think??
it depends... i'm with you though, in some cases it def feels like the wrong move to go inside
You actually can look at the items before you accept if you have an android. If you minimize the DD app so that the widget pops up and click on order details it will show you the items. However, there are some orders where they don't show you but I'd say probably 95% of the orders you can see the items.
first time i've needed an android
@@BestDasherAlive it also shows you the dollar amount of the order after you accept it
Do you have to turn on "floating widget" to minimize DD app? Not sure how you minimize DD app? I have a note8 android
You dash in Hollywood right? How is that market? I dash in DTLA and because of a low AR I haven’t been seeing good orders to almost no orders at all. I’m thinking trying a different market to be honest.
Just crush 50-100 deliveries to show dd you’re legit again and that should help things. Always gotta be showing dd you’re serious about it and mix into that bunch of decline/tailoring algorithm like I talk about in this vid: ua-cam.com/video/z9-CHMJLkSM/v-deo.html
Is there a way to see in the app if you are really getting the peak pay? All I see is dash pay and tips...
Idk I never pay attention to peak pay
I do door dash allot and I get so many messages about pls do not knock or ring bell its crazy how dashers think we should but we were never told to so idk what ppl think when they do that lol
Yea I don’t even knock on a “hand it to me” order I just call bc never know if baby sleeping etc
How often do u have to charge your phone while dashing…. I feel my phone dies with in 3 hrs
Start with a full charge only gotta charge it once usually
😆 dude said Daddy Dasher ..
Does anyone use a app to track mileage so you can take the deduction on your taxes
Yea some ppl do for sure
If I'm getting my own office, it's going to be 007 style with a hot secretary. May as well go big haha
Gotta include secretary in my next tips vid, good call
Why do I feel like your name should be Dashingdiesel? The blank stare and mannerisms is almost identical. 😆
W DASHER
Some body help me I can’t login in my dash because it give to me some error I don’t know what should I do thanks guys
Do you doordash full-time?
ua-cam.com/video/etIq5g03QtI/v-deo.html
Hi bro I from India doordash bike delivery in America
Hi bro
Best Tip: IT'S OK TO DECLINE ORDER
Eh, not such a great tip anymore… here are updated ones: ua-cam.com/video/rEvo8VZAyeo/v-deo.html
Cam you do a dasher tips for rural area drivers?
Yall show orders for like 25 or 30 for more and be declining them, absolutely blows my mind, base pay here is like 2.50
I have over 100 deliveries and highest order I've ever had has been $13
I cant i haven’t dashed in a rural area yet
@@BestDasherAlive awh okay.
I mean my area despite being a small town I'd say is fairly busy, but I gotta acceptance rate of 89%, right now, 125 deliveries in total and there's time where won't even get offers for 5 to 10 mins if it's really really dead
Imma start using these tips though, I'm sure they can still apply to rural areas
@@BestDasherAlive cause I gotta start doing something so hopefully these tips helped.
Just got done dashing for 4 hours and only made $40. And that's better than usual it was modestly busy tonight
5 to 10min inbetween offers isn’t crazy in my experience. If it’s really busy that’s odd but if it’s not very busy sometimes you gotta wait a sec.
doordash has slowed down for me in CT. Has it slowed down for anyone else?
Ppl still hungry
Yes, here in Portland metro has been very slow. Don't know if it is just post holidaze or because I missed a bunch of days for icy roads, or because I have been "earning by time". Who knows. I'm working on keeping a good attitude....
@@Suzvideos1 at least it is busy here at dinner time on weekends.
My first order was “already picked up” then called dd support and their wrong solution was to resend the order, which they never did. Guess who also sat around waiting for them to send it?
Gotta ditch that order and grab a diff one
@@BestDasherAlive yep your videos helped a ton too! Thank you for your contribution to the community
Glad I saw this comment. This happened to me the other night during peak pay. Waited another 5 min after talking to an agent and they still hadn’t gotten the order so I ditched it. I was going back and forth on what to do in that situation but after reading this it sounds like I made the right call
Stacks don't always ding.
Is that you filming your self pulling in the pizza?
na someone off tiktok
I don't get high-paying orders since my point gets down to like 34 😂
Be like that now
Check my new vid I break this down more
Hello bro, did you sign up for a car account and use surrons to deliver? How many miles can you run in a day? Ha ha
10:52 and ua-cam.com/video/J_LkO_IHl5U/v-deo.html
I can try make yours videos for tiktok
make one and send it to me!
I'm using a motorized bike for dashing. I have my own style of Motorized bicycle so simple a cave man could do it.
Awesome
I can’t even get on my door dash in my area it’s always grayed out no way I can make $200 a day
If They Dont Have A Place To Put The Order And Its Inside A Bag With Handles...Hang The Order On Their Doorknob....
Prob better for food not to swing? Could be fun tho 🎢
@@BestDasherAlive i do it all the time because i hear people complain about their hot food on a cold floor...people don't mind they're not gonna open the door at 15 MPH
I don't even bother with the photo tbh. Have you ever needed it or did it help with an order?
yea
@@BestDasherAlive your replies are quite insightful 🤣
Someone someday will say they didn't get their order to scam DD. Without a photo, you get the blame and deactivated
@@sageperception1641 DoorDash sees all photos and texts in the app, not sure why wouldn't take a photo IN THE APP. 🤦🤦🤦🤦
@@sageperception1641 YES EXACTLY THE PERFECT REASONS..GET YOUR OWN PROOF!
expert BeingHuman tips n tricks lol
Lots of non-human humans these days 🤷🏻♂️
I disagree, I didn't knock once, and the customer didn't pay attention to the phone delivery message till after 30 minutes, and his 70 dollar order was stolen from the front of her apartment, and I got the blame,
Their doordash app said the order was dropped off
My advice try to work inside your delivery zone driving too far wastes time money n gas
why did you decide to make videos about doordash?
as BDA I had no choice in the matter
Picking a reason for declining is absolutely useless.
You’re def wrong about that but do you
@@BestDasherAlive Yea ok, I pick a reason 50 times a day and they continue to send me the same crap so please explain to me how I am wrong.
Explanation: ua-cam.com/video/z9-CHMJLkSM/v-deo.html
why in every video you wear a bike helmet inside your own home?
to protect myself from new emerging variants, sub variants, and micro sub variants
If they are Indian don’t do the delivery, Indians don’t tip
This is bullshit I make less then min wage . First two hours is trying to make back gas money.
Maybe not worth it then?
You can take off your helmet during your videos bruh.
bruh…
But he’s on a swing, safety first bruhs
bruhs….
He is big daddy dasher cause he is not killing time taking on and off a helmet.....
Having just started dashing I have a question on communication with customer. One of my first orders asked me to call upon arrival (apt.bldg.) & she met me at entrance. Is there a way to block my number as in keeping it private for calls & texts? I'm using android samsung note 8. I'm just thinking i may not wat a person to have my personal #???
If you call through the app it blocks your #. If you don’t call through the app you can use *67 at the start of the phone # or I’m sure there’s a setting in your phone to hide your caller ID
Thank you that makes me feel better about calling or texting!🙂
