On Ivermectin Lotion 0.5% I have this but you said Cream not lotion. help ! I wont use it till you tell me ! I used it once before and it really dried up my skin a lot and I don’t like that. Could I use these two together the ivermectin lotion or cream with cream afterwards? This lotion says to leave it on for 5 to 10 minutes. oh ! it says the ivermectin lotion is for head lice & cream is for rosacea and is ivermectin cream, OTC or by prescription ? Please let me know on here. I’ll be checking.
I am going to comment this to all rosacea topics: do a blood work, especially looking for markers of diseases that run in your family, check your food intolerances etc. I had eczema all on my body, the dermatologists gave me creams which only worked for a while. Turned out I have dairy intolerance. I cut it back for a year completely and my eczema dissappeared. I have had rosacea in the last 5-6 years. They told me to do laser treatment. I did a bloodwork, and finally know I have insulin resistance. First step towards diabetes. Instant cause for rosacea. No laser treatment, pills, creams will solve this problem. But I can change my diet. Much less harmful. It is easier to prescribe sth...
This is excellent advice! When I did my first elimination diet at 40 years old, eight years ago, I realized a gluten intolerance, and my puffiness and redness, significantly decreased. Now that I have developed a severe dairy intolerance, I have noticed my rosacea has gotten worse again. I also supposedly have some autoimmune disorders that are stemming from possible mast cell activation, which I am taking a new medication for. I have been prescribed ampicillin to take orally every day because I’m allergic to doxycycline, but I really hate taking antibiotics for something like this. Your comment has made me really want to do better on my diet so that my skin and the rest of my body can catch a break. Good luck to you and thank you so much for the comment!!!
@@mikochild2 how did she find out? i heard its really hard to get a lupus diagnosis. i got diagnosed with rosacea recently, but i have a lot of signs of lupus too :/
@kevin424 she found out because none of the rosacea treatments were working. After the final medication her Dr prescribed (I don't remember what it was), he said if that medicine didn't work, she needed to be checked for lupus. He referred her, and it turned out that's what she had been dealing with. The other symptoms were always assumed to be other things. Low energy, depression, arthritis, etc. She was just entering her 50s when she was diagnosed.
I had 3 IPL treatments. They charged $250 each or 3 for $600 (Ontario Canada). I am less than two weeks out from my final treatment and I can't believe how much better my skin looks!
I developed rocesea during COVID due to wearing mask. I had redness and acne on cheeks and eczema like condition. Dr's 20/ Azelic Acid worked but didn't cure situation. Only think really worked was DeLa Cruz sulphur cream cheap ordered on internet. Within 2 weeks acne cleared and redness reduced. My cheeks still often become cheeks if I eat anything which has sugar, coffee chocolate. I only apply azelic cream along with vitamin 6 cream from La Roche. I had bought a redness relief called calm for £10 but didn't work. I am trying to build my skin barrier to deal with redness. If skin barrier is built then redness should go. Although, redness is not as bad as it used to be. I think it was mice related because I used same mask without changing it. And dust mites entered my face.
My rosacea was caused by SIBO (small intestine bacteria overgrowth) and I cured it by taking a course of penicillin and I also quit eating coconut yogurt and quit taking a probiotic capsule everyday. My SIBO was caused by taking a probiotic capsule every morning on an empty stomach followed by a generous helping of unsweetened coconut yogurt with fruit and psyllium added. I never thought one could have too much bacteria in one's gut but I did.
I just had pulsed dye laser done today. At U.P.M.C. in Pittsburgh. I have it done several times in past years. AND,THANKFULLY, MY INSURANCE PAYS FOR IT !!!!
I'm really happy that I found an honest dermatologist in UA-cam that makes the complicated skincare world much more simple and clear. I have combination skin and I mainly struggle with hyperpigmentation and acne (along side with blackheads, whiteheads, logged pores, etc). You already did a video for acne which was so useful and educational. You explained the problem so well and gave a list of solutions to it with explanation which I really loved. Kindly make another video for hyperpigmentation too if possible. I really need your help on that.
@@SilviaHoard I double cleanse with Clinique Take Off The Day balm and then Cerave hydrating face wash. I've never had a problem removing it. It isn't thick like dermablend.
One key point for me I noticed is that "Salicilic Acid" causes my redness. I have acne prone skin and Salicylic acid is said to be good to avoid acnes so I started to use Salicylic Acid Serum only to get a red face as if i was sunburnt.. Its funnier because it took me far too long to realise the redness was caused by the serum and not just the Sun.
Hey Dr. Syed, as someone who struggled immensely with acne and skin care in general, your channel is an absolute Godsend and I appreciate your humble nature in providing factual skin care videos without the marketing BS as a lot of other "dermatology" channels do. I was wondering if you could make a video on controversial ingredients like methylparaben, sodium laureth sulfate, propylene glycol, methylchloroisothialinone and many others as I've done my own research and couldn't come up with a definitive answer to whether or not these ingredients are safe or not. Much appreciated!

Hi Dr Usama Syed, I'm a 35 year old female and a few years ago out of no where my skin erupted with tiny red bumps in clusters all around my mouth. My skin also felt very textured so I was using a micro exfoliant which I had used for several years without any issue. My skin felt like it was on fire. I was given some sensitive skin products to try which somewhat helped but didn't get rid of it completely. I tried doxycycline, but it didn't get rid of it completely. My GP said he thought it might be a form of rosacea so I went to a dermatologist. The dermatologist said it's a 'form of acne' and prescribed me low dose Roaccutane, which did clear it up. I said to him the bumps are all uniform and feel kind of itchy and benzol peroxide made it worse. Still he insisted it was a form a acne. I believe it is acne rosacea as my skin is very sensitive, which was never the case. I asked him what to do if it returned and he said to use AZ lotion (which contains azelaic acid OTC). But I was never really told how else to manage this. I've had to switch out my cleansers for gentle milk/cream cleansers and pretty much just use a moisturiser as I've had bad reactions to various products. My question is what is a good non physical exfoliant? I use a gentle papaya enzyme mask once a week now but even when I gently wash it off with a face cloth this irritates my skin and I'm left with tiny red bumps all over my face. I feel I need some exfoliant but I really haven't found much advice on what to use when you have acne rosacea.
Hi Dr. Syed, You probably won’t ever see this, but I’m a new sub! You got me hooked with the videos about the skincare industry being a scam and Korean skincare being overhyped. I’m trying to create my perfect routine. I’m 27 female. I’ve had oily, acne prone, sensitive skin and rosacea as long as I can remember. I’m pretty sure it’s highly dependent on diet, which I’m working on cleaning up. I currently use a LRP toleraine foaming cleanser, which I like a lot. It feels even better than the Vanicream one to me, which was my go to for years. They both foam but are gentle. The “gentle, no foaming” creamy ones I tried like CeraVe and Cetaphil don’t work well on me. I feel like there’s a film left on my skin and it doesn’t feel tight or dry, but definitely like I cleansed with Albolene or Ponds and didn’t cleanse afterward😂 Thanks for all of your videos and advice! You’re the best!!
I am happy to be able to watch it with Turkish subtitles, there are 2 dermatology professors in my family, but I could not find a cure for Rosacea, but I will research and strive more for the treatment of my acne rosacea, Thank you Doctor 🩵 Love from Turkey 🇹🇷
@@usamasyed I thought I would leave these recommendations/tips I have gathered over the years here, so it might be helpful to others; especially for people without insurance or cannot afford to visit a derm. I have type 1 and 2 Rosacea. I originally come from India and moved to the United States around 5 years ago. I strongly believe that the drastic change in weather conditions, going from a super humid climate to an extremely dry one, contributed to the degradation of my skin barrier. In short, I ignored the problem for a while and even got misdiagnosed with acne. However, I eventually realized that I was actually dealing with rosacea acne. 1. Ivermectin, the drug, is quite expensive, with a brand name called Soolantra costing around $500, and it's often prescribed by dermatologists. If this cost is a barrier, consider consulting an online dermatology service providers (there are many available; I chose Apostrophe). I obtained my topical combination (15% Azelaic Acid, 1% Metronidazole, and 1% Ivermectin) for $75. 2. Finacea (15% Azelaic Acid), is also a name brand that is both prescription only AND super expensive. Wish I'd known this years ago; but Dermatica is the only website that I know of, in the US; where you can order 20% Azelaic Acid without prescription for $25 and $5 shipping. Also, a super hydrating formulation with Squalane and Glycerin. 3. Sulphur, which is probably the only OTC product to show any relief; is the easiest to find. De la Cruz Sulfur ointment (you can find this on amazon) is available in both 5% and 10%(maximum strength) for under $15. This is the least irritating formulation for me. Most of the other sulfur products I have tried have kaolin clay and way less sulfur

First of all 🎖 This is the first time I watched one of your videos. Love the humour, but even better is the way you explain everything. I've had rosacea crisis before, but here in Portugal, family physicians don't really pay attention to it. Mine told me what it was and thats that. No treatment, no advice. Eventually it passed for a while. Now I'm back at it.... but because it is not an extreme case, I'm going to try the sulfur and azelaic acid, and go from there.
This was insightful. I had acne like breakout on my nose when I was a teenager and the dermatologists I saw through my teen years and 20's diagnosed it as cystic acne. It bothered me because it was just on my nose and I was always breaking out. None of the treatments prescribed worked. I finally tried an African American dermatologist few years ago who gave me an accurate diagnosis, turned out to be rhino rosacea, she told me it is usually difficult to diagnose it in darker skin tone people. Since I started seeing her, I barely breakout. She initially did a minor procedure to cut off most of the big bumps on my nose and then started doing laser to get it to a manageable state. Now I do laser treatment every 6 months and it has been the best thing for my rosacea. I don't get burn scars from the laser treatment.
Hi Dr. Syed, yes, I subscribed! I was diagnosed with rosacea in my late 20s, shortly after my mother was diagnosed in her late 40s. I had laser surgery in the mid 90s, and it worked very well. I don't remember what it cost, but the insurance I was on then covered most of the cost. However, the redness eventually did come back. The best solution I've found for redness is a compounded prescription of 15% azelaic acid, 1% metronidazole, and 1% ivermectin in a lotion base. My dermatologist did prescribe a leave on product with sulfur, but my skin wouldn't tolerate it. I peeled like crazy. I also take spironolactone to treat folliculitis on my scalp and breakouts around my hairline. I was a daily sunscreen user even before I was diagnosed. But a few years ago, I got to where I just couldn't deal with the white cast from mineral sunscreens, and I went back to chemical sunscreens. As far as I could tell, my facial skin was OK with that. However, this year, I decided to try a tinted mineral sunscreen, and I'm not seeing a white cast from it. So I'm going to keep using it. My dermatologist has told me not to use retinol or masks or have facials. I haven't specifically asked about AHA or BHA products, but a few months ago, I used up what I had and haven't bought more. The products were a very low percentage of the active ingredients, but I'm not going to resume them until I've talked to my dermatologist about them.15% azelaic acid twice a day may be as much of an active ingredient as I should use. For anyone who's using a leave on sulfur product at night , be aware that it can stain your sheets! And the smell can be pretty bad.
I am making my boot leg moisturizer RIGHT NOW! Wow! I am so blown away with this information! Bc when the rosacea is blooming it can really heat up to a flush that feels almost like a sudden sunburn.
Wow I can't believe you just posted that, I have been searching ROSACEA for the last hour because i've had redness on my cheeks for years (which seems to be more visible after la roche posay cicaplast baume b5 50 spf) thank you so much for your content
I had two IPL sessions against the redness and I am using adapalene gel against the Rosacea papules and postules. I am so so happy with my skin now. I have tried metronidazol and also ivermectin. First one gave me itchy skin and second one helps against papules but not the other. The adapalene is making my overall skin better and helps with the hyperpigmentation from inflammation that I had. I wanted to try azelaic acid from the beginning but my derm refused to prescribe it to me.
The standard rosecea treatments have so far just made my skin worse. The sulphur cleanser not only smells awful but dries my skin. The azelaic acid stung and burned my face, increased redness and bumps. Derm switched me to Metronidazole, which as you say is basically worthless. I have a clean diet, don’t use alcohol, caffeine, spicy foods, almost no sugar or dairy. Very frustrating. I just purchased a red light panel and hope to see benefits from that
Try using finacea cream (azelic acid) once your skin barrier is more healthy and repaired. I have used it in the past which caused itchy stinging and burning and other times its been okay after repairing my skin barrier. Also it depends on how much your putting on, I use to put loads on my face which I think irritated it, so only use a smaller amount on the areas affected by your rosacea
I have struggled too. I've been on Soolantra for years and can't tell a difference. I was about to order a red light. I would be interested to see how yours works for you.
@@RebeccaKnows17 Hi Rebecca, I absolutely agree with you. Do you have any product recommendations for repairing the skin barrier that are very gentle for irritated skin. Many thanks
I like the content but you should add that some individuals with rosacea cannot tolerate azelaic acid. I used it for a few months and it was horrible. After a while, I couldn't even take a shower without my face hurting so much that I started to cry. As soon as I stopped with azelaic acid, my condition improved considerably.
Your UA-cam videos are an absolute delight! I find myself eagerly awaiting each new upload. Your content is truly exceptional. If it's not too much to ask, I would be absolutely thrilled if you could grace us with more frequent uploads. Your videos are like a warm embrace, and I can't get enough of them!"
Having ignored my rosacea for the past 10 years i am somewhat eager to test this moisturizer. thanks for the video. I am looking forward to what it brings me.
Hello Dr. I just subscribed in the hopes that you will do another rosacea video. I’m newly diagnosed and I found this helpful in some ways. Perhaps an updated version. I’m looking to heal my facial skin barrier and support that microbiome. I’m not adverse to prescriptions, but that would be my last resort. I also see some pretty expensive products out there, and I’m looking for affordable everyday products if they exist. My head tells me that paying excessive amounts for magic creams is not the way to go here. So, please do more on this topic, from what I can tell there are so many of us dealing with this condition.
Hi, new subscribers here. I live In the uk 🇬🇧 I've just been diagnosed with rosacea yesterday after suddenly developing it in January. I'm 49. I'm in perimenopause & I've been under a lot of stress. I also lost my dog in January. My doctor prescribed me metronidazole & zeroveen 😬 I'm going to go buy Azelaic Acid today & some other products you mentioned. Thank you 😊
Cut carbs and sugar. I had the rosacea pustules for years. Rough, scaly skin. Hot flushes. Went Carnivore on Jan 1. Within 2 weeks, it subsided. Only had 2 flushes since after eating non-carnivore foods (spicy ketchup & sausage that had soy). No pustules so far. Skin is smooth and moisturized despite me rinsing my face with only plain water (no products, no sunblock, etc).
As a Rosacea patient, I really appreciate all the products mentioned to try. My skin is very fair and sensitive. I was unaware of Ivervectin cream, but will ask my dermatologist about it. I have had good resulrs with Finacea, Doxycycline, but still get some severe flare ups at times. Thank you for the video on Rosacea.
CeraVe has an amazing hydrating gentle cleanser and amazing moisturizer lotion/cream. Both contain Hyaluronic Acid and packed with 3 essential ceramides. Their PM moisturizer contains niacinamide as well as ceramides. I highly recommend them as while their prices may be around 15-20$, they last for a few months at a time. I think the total cost for a year with just the cleanser and moisturizer would only be around 200-250$.
Great information ! I have both ocular and type 1 rosacea with very sensitive, dry skin. It’s hard to know sometimes what to put on my face. Keeping track of my rosacea triggers is very helpful. For example chocolate doesn’t seem to bother me,unlike strong vanilla (like natural bourbon vanilla ) which do🌹
I have a question about your ocular rosacea? I have styes that appear on the inside of my eyelids and I also have bloodshot eyes most days. Is that what yours is like? And did you see an ophthalmologist or dermatologist to get that diagnosis?
It's this...THIS exact humour of yours that got me into skincare Dr. Usama. And not to mention, your feverishly good looks 🎉😚😅 GREAT content as always, thank you Dr.
My mom has Rosacea and I went to buy prescripted treatment with her but it was too expensive around $900 thank you for your video it really help me find more about Rosacea and find a product for her or more information
I would like to know more about the connection with the gut microbiome. My rosacea appeared after my gallbladder was removed when I was 40. My skin had never been sensitive prior.
I had rosacea previously with my pregnancies 2017-2021 , my derm was able to control it and I changed my diet... In 2022 I got my gallbladder removed and suddenly a few days ago it came back, I had to admit I had a week of eating a bit of cheese every day.. but it could have been a build- up.
I never knew what rosacea is, until I went to dermatologist at my late 40s. I am not that read when I am good, but I can clearly see vessels on the nose and it breaks me. Hope it gets better.
I cant thank you enough! I have rosacea to the point that everyone thinks I wear a blush! Its nice in the morning but as I get tired towards end of the day It gets worse and extends to my nose and chin! I have a very sensitive skin on a dry side but acne prone smh! i tried the suggested moisturizer and I was amazed! And Now im using all the products you recommended and 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 my skin look amaing
Could you please do a video for people who did loose a lot of weight and how to avoid cracks etc. in the skin while loosing slowly weight by supportive skincare? Is retinol/retinoid and microneedling the way to go? Would be very cool if there would be a video of a specialist like you talking once about that topic.
Im pretty sure I have rosacea, my face gets so red beyond what is normal all the time (i jut lacked the visible blood vessels so I kept assuming not but I just learned being totally flushed can also be rosacea). This is a very informative and quick to the point video. Thank you!
You don’t need to have telangiectasia. Some people have it, some don’t. You could have just papules and postules or just redness (erythema) or both of those. You could even just have phymatous manifestations or ocular symptoms. It can present in many different ways. Usually without treatment it gets worse, and can start to involve other symptoms or just a worsening of existing symptoms
I have mild Rosacea controlled with an Rx sulfur wash. One day I tried the Vanicream gentle cleanser. Wow, dried out my oily skin and felt so irritated.
Im starting to avoid foods high in histamines, as they seem to play a role. Aloe Vera helps too. Important to wear sunblock outdoors. Also using Grahams Rosacea cream which is the most effective one I've tried so far. My Rosacea felt like burning yesterday but has mostly cleared up. Shaving also a trigger.
I have rosacea and most of the time it becomes way too mild and it literally burns my skin way too bad . Cold weather helps keep my redness away most of the time and i am 17 . It started when i was 15.
Nothing prescribed has worked. It's hard to find cruelty free OTC products. Sometimes i have a lot of luck with a product and then suddenly my skin gets angry and i have a long flare. I'm going back to my roots and trying rose water. 🤞
Make your own colloidal silver and spray it 3x daily that’s all I do didn’t change nothing else and my face is blemish free the skin doctor had me on doxycycline for almost a year and thank God I gave this a try I heard about it long ago but didn’t take it seriously. I’ve been using silver for two years and only have flare ups if I slack on using silver for 3 or more days. Guys I am 100% telling the truth my cousin has it and the silver didn’t work for him so it’s worth the try.
Finally, I've found the channel that not sponsored, I'm so happy😊. I have Rosacea (type 1) and Serboheic Dermatitis on the scalp and used Metronidazole. My daily routine I use Eucerin 5% Urea, Alumiers Physical sunscreen and Neutrogena Ultra gentle facial cleanser and Nitrozal shampoo. I've been having a breakout for more than 2 months now, due to heat and sunlight from the windows😢. My face is red, swollen, sting and itchy and my eyelids also swollen. My GP prescribed me to Ivermectin and I've been using it for 2 weeks now but have not shown any improvements. I've been avoiding the sun since. I'm in Canada so it takes forever to see a dermatologist. My questions are: 1. Is it normal to have the breakout this long? 2. Could my body changed during the breakout and causes allergic reaction to the products that I've been using, like sunscreen? 2. Is it related to menopause? I'm so stressed out and desperated as I don't know if this ever gonna end 😢 Please help 🙏. I'm so thankful for reading my long message. Thank you Doctor
Hi you didn't touch much on treatment specifically for people with ocular rosacea? what are the best treatments for that? Who diagnoses that and opthamologist or a derm?
You said you wouldn't make any more skincare videos yet here you are. I loved your message and wanted to see your "new" videos just to be disappointed. How is this different in any way? "I've said all I need to say."
My dermatologist prescribed Erythego gel to me. It has Brimonidine Topical Gel content in it. It does reduce my redness but since I've started using it, my skin gets more red than before everyday in the evening and I have to stock up this gel because without applying it, I can't even go out as my skin looks like I got a severe sun burn. My skin never used to get this red earlier!
You are having a rebound affect,i had this, means not for us,well at least using it often.Maybe if you have a very important event use right before.Do ipl, ivermectin and azaelic acid
I was very unhappy when a dermatologist prescribed me Rhofade for my rosacea and said there was no permanent solution. Not only is it not a permanent solution - if you discontinue use, it can cause backflushing and it’ll be worse. It was only until I did extensive research on my own that I learned there were vascular lasers. I had Vbeam and it was 1000% worth the money. I hope all dermatologists will recommend this treatment - even if they don’t offer it at their own offices.
You sound like you are on the right track! Have you investigated other cleansers like Zenmed cleanser, CeraVe cleanser for dry skin, tetracycline antibiotics? Another oral medication is over the counter, called Rosadyn which can be ordered online! These things have worked well for me!
@@Jasmine215100 thanks for the recommendations. I was looking for a more permanent solution where I wouldn’t be reliant on medication or topicals. I highly recommend those with rosacea look into lasers!
I don’t have rosacea but I have redness on my cheeks after an irritation caused by a moisturizer and plucking hairs on my skin while it was irritated. It doesn’t heal even after using steroid creams so I’m wondering if lasers could help with this. Do you have to keep doing it or is one session enough to get a permanent result ?
@@Dan24. Hi Dan, Usually Lasers are a long-term process, if you want to see good results! Also, you might have an allergy to something, if your skin doesn't heal after a while! Derm consult?
@@Jasmine215100 I went to the dermatologist and got a steroid cream prescribed. It lessened the redness but it’s still there. I also got side effects from it as it turned my skin very tight and uncomfortable. I wish I just left my skin alone and didn’t do anything, I wouldn’t be in this mess. I had perfectly fine skin but now I feel like I destroyed myself 😔 My hope was it to maybe do 1 laser treatment on the red/pigmented areas and get over all of this but maybe it’s not that simple. How often does one need to do this to keep up good results ? 1-2 a year or even more ?
I use everything you say not to. Keeps my skin better. Clears up if I remember am & Pm care. After finding azelic acid has righted my face even with my use of the list of "harsh" ingredients. Oxymotazilem is spotty...
I'm not sure if you take video suggestions, but I would love if you made videos on 1. Which skincare products are redundant when using together in a routine, especially when it comes to all of the different acids and 2. Hidradenitis Suppuritiva
Thanks for the information. I was doxycycline but became highly allergic to it. The Rosacea has attacked my nose now and it's horrible. I live in Prince George BC Canada. I'm now using Finacea to help it.
Developed sulfa allergy in my 30s. I also used doxy in 30s with good effect. Current doc prescribed it after limited effect with metronidazole, then azelaic acid. Doxy caused me to break out in hives. Doc gave me 2 sample of newest encapsulated benzoyl peroxide. Amazing! My skin has not been clear in years! Have follow up in 2 weeks. Hope there are discount coupons thru pharm company since GoodRx shows cost as $550! Only thing I haven't tried is ivermectin. Have kept it in my mind in case it's less expensive.
I have been suffering from rosacea for so long. I have tried many of the medications that you are recommending, but unfortunately nothing has worked for me. I might consider the laser treatment.
Hi Dr Syed. Great video. Lots of things online suggest laser therapy needs to be done on a repeat basis. Do you have any studies/evidence that it’s only needed a few times in a lifetime? Is it specifically for type 1 Rosacea? Thank you!
I’ve had to have many v beam laser treatments going on 2 years now. I’ve had one about every 4-6 months. It has helped with the extreme redness and the enlarged blood vessels.
Thank you for such an informative video. Just developed rosacea a couple months ago.. at age 30, and it's done a number on my self-confidence. Man, i used to love spicy food T0T
Thank you so much for talking about the prescription creams! All the other dermatologist on UA-cam have not talked about it at all! I don’t know why my dermatologist have not prescribed any of the things you said! All the creams she prescribed caused burning on my skin! One of thrm was tacromilus, I think. I don’t understand why she doesn’t jibe what to prescribe! Thank you so much! I just saw this video on my feed and I watched the video and subscribed! 🙏🏻💖 I forgot to ask, my nose does not stop peeling no matter if I used oil, moisture or anything on my face! Would the cream that treats the mites work? Or could you recommend something else? My dermatologist has no clue!

My mom thought she had rosacea for years. Turns out, it was lupus.
I have roscea and the best what helped me was healthy diet. No sugar, no alcohol and no fried food.
I had 3 IPL treatments. They charged $250 each or 3 for $600 (Ontario Canada). I am less than two weeks out from my final treatment and I can't believe how much better my skin looks!
Where in Ontario ? Does it really work ? I’m in Ottawa
How long before you saw an improvement?I had my first ten days ago and there is no difference
It works, but.....mine came back 3 months after ending 3 treatments. I still use and have used spf50 since i started treatment.
@@samiclark7503Same thing happened to me
My rosacea was caused by SIBO (small intestine bacteria overgrowth) and I cured it by taking a course of penicillin and I also quit eating coconut yogurt and quit taking a probiotic capsule everyday. My SIBO was caused by taking a probiotic capsule every morning on an empty stomach followed by a generous helping of unsweetened coconut yogurt with fruit and psyllium added. I never thought one could have too much bacteria in one's gut but I did.
I guess too much of a good thing can be bad XD
You cured sibo from taking penicillin? When penicillin isn’t even used for sibo your telling lies
Whats your symptoms with sibo?

I'm really happy that I found an honest dermatologist in UA-cam that makes the complicated skincare world much more simple and clear. I have combination skin and I mainly struggle with hyperpigmentation and acne (along side with blackheads, whiteheads, logged pores, etc). You already did a video for acne which was so useful and educational. You explained the problem so well and gave a list of solutions to it with explanation which I really loved. Kindly make another video for hyperpigmentation too if possible. I really need your help on that.
The Clinique Redness Solution foundation is the only makeup that covers my redness in a natural way. Love it, and hope they don't discontinue it!
What do You remove it with?
@@SilviaHoard I double cleanse with Clinique Take Off The Day balm and then Cerave hydrating face wash. I've never had a problem removing it. It isn't thick like dermablend.
I also like the green CC cream from Erborian, they have a travel size which is very practical and lasts a long time.
Rosalique is much better I’ve had rosacea for 22 years & found this the best 🦋x
That's what I've been using also! My skin looks better when I take it off.... definitely best make-up if you have rosacea!
OMG this is so funny! First dermatologist I actually want to listen to. Thanks for the info

Ever heard of Plaquenil for Rosacea? That is supposed to almost cure it, but the side effects are ghastly! (Blindness can result)
Hi Dr. Syed,
You probably won’t ever see this, but I’m a new sub!
I feel like there’s a film left on my skin and it doesn’t feel tight or dry, but definitely like I cleansed with Albolene or Ponds and didn’t cleanse afterward😂
Thanks for all of your videos and advice! You’re the best!!
Can you suggest some moisturizer and sunscreen??

This is the first time I watched one of your videos.
Thank you!
Please make a video on hollow dark circles around eyes and it's procedures.
Thank you for sharing your personal experience!

Thank you for talking about rosacea!❤
I love your straightforward information and advice. Thank you!
I just purchased a red light panel and hope to see benefits from that
Try Soolantra or a cream with ivermectin. The only thing that works. Ah and prepare yourself, it will get worse before it gets better.
But if you never saw an improvement, why you kept using it for years?@@dreamhunterjumper

Thank you 😊
I hope things are going well for you. Im sorry you lost your dog. Bless you.
@lizthompson9173 Thank you 🤗 yes things are going well 😊 but I found out that organic rosehip oil has been fantastic for my rosacea.
How severe were your flushes, if you don’t mind me asking? Heat and exercise trigger mine in an instant, and my face gets really red all over.
The only cream that works for me so far is the prescription one: Azelaic Acid!

I had perfectly fine skin but now I feel like I destroyed myself 😔
My hope was it to maybe do 1 laser treatment on the red/pigmented areas and get over all of this but maybe it’s not that simple. How often does one need to do this to keep up good results ? 1-2 a year or even more ?
Type 2 rosacea here - Ivermectin cream is helping me a lot. Rosacea still sucks though :(
Agreed!!
You have my Maximum respect DR ABIOLA for putting an end to my HSV 2 VIRUS, the report came out Negative after applying your medication #drabiola ,
Doxycycline cleared my spots within 2 weeks, but the base red isn’t budging. 42 degrees south, generally cold weather.
Hmm sounds stubborn! Maybe the lasers are a smart next step!
I use everything you say not to. Keeps my skin better. Clears up if I remember am & Pm care. After finding azelic acid has righted my face even with my use of the list of "harsh" ingredients. Oxymotazilem is spotty...
This was great thank you!!
Thank you. I was hezitating about laser procedures but I will go for it :)
I am 15 with rosacea and you can see it it just spots red under my skin and always thought it was dry skin
Can you make a video on treating keratosis pilaris. I've been suffering from it since the childhood, tried many products, nothing helped!
It has helped with the extreme redness and the enlarged blood vessels.
but some of the dermatologist said that rentiol is good for rosacea, cuz it can build up ur skin barrier and make it thicker
Would be glad if u do a video on fungal acne
This is such an informative video!
I forgot to ask, my nose does not stop peeling no matter if I used oil, moisture or anything on my face! Would the cream that treats the mites work? Or could you recommend something else? My dermatologist has no clue!
Great advice.
