Prior to watching this video, I had watched another YT video that caused me to purchase/install a Graves exhaust/Gabro tune on my 2022 Tuono V4. Fantastic results. Then I saw your video on the the Gabro Airbox/Tune upgrade. I drank the Koolaide and ordered the Gabro Airbox/Tune Upgrade. I will install and report the results, probably next week. BTW, your upbeat installation/review comments are great. Thank you.
@@Antmanmoto I installed the Gabro airbox, filter, front velocity stacks, and airbox ECU tune. It is definitely smoother and even more linear in low and mid power range power delivery than with the exhaust/decat/ECU tune only. I think top end is even better but the bike is so fast that I usually have my eyes closed at those speeds so it is hard to properly assess. Was the airbox upgrade worth it? For my purposes....Yes. It makes the bike even easier to ride and you can lug in much higher gears at lower RPM. The engine seems even smoother with regard to vibrations although it was always very smooth. Thanks Gabro.
@@bobc3144L I honestly think the airbox is a necessary, the tune with the stock airbox is really all you need. But if you just want the absolute most performance, Gabro has to offer then go for the airbox. It’s just insane how fast the bike is after.
Thanks…. yeah if you’ve been wondering wonder no longer, just do it. Makes an already insanely fun bike just more so. Power wheelies in 3rd and even 4th gear…seriously!
@@JoUtan01 no I’m going to put a DNA filter in place of the sprint filter and some bar end mirrors. And I’m just gonna ride it. Looking at the new 2023 Tuono‘s.
Been contemplating getting the stage 3 tune for a while now, you have convinced me lol Btw, you should try the Brembo rcs17 m/c , outstanding upgrade. Love your vids, keep em coming👌
Was money very well spent this mod. What amazes me is how much smoother the power delivery is yet still so much more responsive. It’s feels faster but smoother. And that is over the race map. Thanks for the brake suggestion… And just when I thought I was out of mods to do lol
I concur. The RCS17 MC is a incredible upgrade. 4 days ago I ordered Gabro’s stage 3 kit for my 19 Factory. Can’t wait!!!! Big thumbs up on your video 👍
Great vid. I'm looking forward to fitting this to my '22 bike. I'm also going to fit the ti spark headers (the only headers available that fit all end cans). And rip out all the emissions bits while I'm at it!
Gonna be such a bad ass bike! I found I had to put a larger rear sprocket 43t on my after stage three because it covers so much real estate with stock gearing. Almost feels too tall.
It gives the bike a tremendous amount of acceleration. If you have more open roads and big sweeping turns you’ll really enjoy it. If you have tight technical riding stage two might be better
I installed the Gabro airbox/ECU tune upgrade on my 2022 Tuono V4 after already having the Gabro ECU tune with a Graves Exhaust upgrade. The airbox/tune definitely added smoothness/linear power delivery/more top end power to an already great running bike. I was concerned with the lack of fine filtration with the Sprint P08 filter element for a street bike. Gab recommended using the stock RSV4 element, PN 2B001592R, for better filtration with very slight restriction on air flow compared to the P08. It fits his airbox. I swapped the P08 out for the OEM RSV4 element. I cannot tell any difference in performance at all. Just FYI if you are concerned about longevity.
I was looking for this comment or one similar to this that someone else made and alerted me to this. I’ve ordered the DNA filter in place of the sprint because I know DNA filter and flow great as well. I like them better than any other filters, and I’ve always run them in the past.
I read a article that a guy tested the P08 F1-85 used it on a long distance trip paved and dirt roads and was very pleased that it kept the engine side very clean .
You have the same bike and setup that I do. Tell me, is the stage 3 worth the money to you? Do you think this should be considered a luxury upgrade, or a night and day difference? Thanks!
As I stated above, it is noticeably better but not as large of difference as adding the exhaust/ECU tune. I really like the bike and plan to keep it so I even added forged wheels. Another noticeable improvement but not earth shattering. Kinda depends on if you are planning to keep the bike forever. If you go with the airbox, I recommend using the OEM RSV4 air filter element. It probably filters the fines better and I could not notice any difference in performance/response. If you do the airbox mod please let us know what you think. @@stephenpatton8690
Did this to my '21 TV4 Factory. I do agree (but I did have Gabro RaceMap/Exh. map) that the new race map+exhaust delete+AirBox mod map is goot. I won't say it changed the bike night vs/ day. I will say though I do have a new 85-9000 RPM "Whoosh" of extra "take off" speed that was not there before the airbox.
Really? To me the difference is pretty drastic. Have you ridden it on your favorite twisty road yet? Because I had to figure out how to ride it in a way where I don’t scare the shit out of myself! And I don’t even use ‘race’ mode on the street anymore because there’s just no room for it…except on the freeway!
@@Antmanmoto I only use "user" mode in street "view". As for my factory I get the most rider assist (Break/Accel/lean) on A1 suspension setting than A2/A3. As for "Race" view, I only notice the display change. I don't really think there are changes anywhere else. You PRE-'21's get the lean angle I think in Race view and we both have the lap timer. I wish we had the lean angle ind. Yes I ride a lot down here in TX and I did a number of back road rides and it was fine, it didn't scare me really for the change.

Great job and bike. 👍 Thinking about mods, forged aluminum wheels like -4 lb unsprung mass . I've seen ur still using Pb batt (even if it is a Yuasa). My wife's bike batt is a 10AH 9.25lb. I thought to buy panigale v2 but falks talk a lot about super heat… Thanks for some input on this.
Well, I can tell you if you install a Gabro tune on the Tuono it actually makes it run cooler somehow. I do not know or haven’t heard that these bikes overheat at all stock. And as far as them emitting heat from them, they’re not particularly hot bikes to sit on either. But when you buy this bike you need to be riding it and not piddling around slowly, it is a V4 super bike that wants to be in motion. But you can go to the AF1 forum and search overheating issues to see if the topic has been discussed there maybe
Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. Stage one is where you would just put the ECU tune on your stock bike with stock everything. All of this is with Gabro. Stage two would be an aftermarket air filter and exhaust with the tune. And stage three is Gabro's replacement Airbox and air filter, different velocity stacks for the front banks, the ECU and aftermarket exhaust either slip on or full system. In my opinion, the stage two is really all you need.
