I have a 4 mil banshee and it loves castor 927. It’s cheap insurance for me. Smells like nitrous when it burns 🙏 and having spent more on the engine than the bike originally cost me I’d say it’s well worth the cost.

Hey bro, appreciate the content and info. I'm not using anything under 32:1 or so in any 2 stroke engine, from bikes to chainsaws and trimmers, the crank ball bearings really don't like these dum.b higher EPA ratios when it comes to longevity.
As a brand, Motul 800 offroad has never failed me, even in some CRAZY HOT scenarios, as in lean mixture/airleak case, and that's what sold me to it and I stuck by it. Not a big fan of the 927, unless you run your engines REALLY hard, ALL the time. It burns really dirty if not doing that, plus its kinda hard on rubber seals over time, even the modern ones.
The regular synthetic oils can handle all spectrum of styles and burn very clean while offering similar protection on the metal parts. I suggest you at least try some ester/pao oil, from any reputable brand. I'm sure you'll be happy man.
Im a fan of KLOTZ and will put it in any 2 stroke. The smell it make swhen burth through a engine is awesome.
Amsoil dominator, I run a ktm 250sx at 50/1, engine ice for the coolant. If racing I put a lil more oil in depending on how hard I plan on running the bike

I run the maxima 927 but 36:1 in my 2001 KX250 and runs great

I heard Klotz is a good 2 stroke oil so I started using that and haven’t been disappointed tbh, use to use Motul 700 before

09 husqvarna wr 300 klotz super techniplate 40 :1 but the manual says do 50 :1 but I never do that as I'm riding the hell out of it

Warm the bike to operatoring temps turn the strew all the way till it seat smooth then turn it 2 turns out and try to start it if the idle to low turn a lil out and ya thats wat I do in-rich out-lean

How would you know what’s a safe mix to put in the bike?

They usually always have a spec list online you can look at. A lot of the mid 2000s bikes are around 32.1ish but I’ve heard the newer bikes coming out call for 30.1
32:1 always worked for me any 2 stroke
32 to 1 for the most part. But some bikes do require 40 to 1 or even 50 to 1. You’re better off going to look online for the manual
I got a enduro husky that requires a 50.1 ration I just measure 125 ml to 5 liters of fuel
