@@Dirtbikerepairthis would be great if you could also show where to buy jets/ needles and everything else you need. Also if you could show what a lean and rich running bike sounds like
@@smward1126 I will try and get that video up on the channel sooner then later. thanks for the input on what people are looking for, and what kind of videos you guys want to see.
@lynxeffect84 that really depends on the container, the temperature, all kinds of things.. the quality of oil, the quantity of the fuel.. but it all has a shelf life.. but I typically will mix 20L or 5gal at a time.. so that last me about 2-3 weeks.. I also store it in metal containers rather then plastic
40:1 Yamalube synthetic has always treated me right for stock compression motors. Unfortunately here in Arizona we only have 91 pump available so anything with even slightly higher than stock compression I shoot up to a small airport a couple miles from me and mix 100LL Avgas and half pump to bump octane to about 96 and it's affordable. Av right now is about $6 a gal.
I have mixed Avgas with high test here before.. best fuel we can get at a pump here in Ontario Canada is 94. And Avgas is running around $3.00/L (about 5L/G) so it’s definitely more affordable then running race fuel at $10/L Yammalube is really good oil.. I think the important part is running the best fuel oil mix you can afford. Thanks for the comment and for watching as always
Yes, it’s a 2 stroke. 2 stroke engines need to mix oil with the fuel to lubracate parts in the engine. ( the crank and crank bearings for example.) if you don’t mix your fuel with oil you will damage the engine. What people call “blowing up the engine” I hope that helps answers your question. A 4 stroke engine is a bit different and you do not need to mix oil with the fuel.. the engine has different parts that are lubricated internally
Oh ok, I misunderstand your question. Yes you can run race fuel in your 85, if you were to actually look at the Honda specs for that bike I’m pretty sure it actually asked you to run over 97 octane and No ethonal
That would depend on what you are mixing at for example 5 gallon but for easy math I’m going to use 20L mixed at 40:1 = 20L of fuel 500ml of oil 32:1 = 16L of fuel 500ml of oil That’s really what you can mix in a 5g fuel can
Still waiting on a few parts to finally come in for Project 93, then we will do a start up video so we can all see it run for the first time together. We will definitely be putting out a video of all the things we went through in this build along with a bunch of footage of the bike hopefully ripping up the trails and track.
Great video. I run 40:1 never an issue. I have the same oil mixer works great. Keep up the videos
Will you ever do a carb video too like how to get good jetting and not running to lean or rich
We have been trying to plan a video on carb adjustment and setup. How to setup and jet your carb

@@Dirtbikerepairif you mix a large quantity , does the mix stay perfect in the container forever or is there a time limit before it should be used ?

Can you use pre mix on a cr 85rb expert
It said small engines but idk if it meant mowers or dirt bikes too

No I’m saying the vp already mixed fuel

How many ounces or Canada units for 5 gallon of fuel?

So, where's the ride video? This build is not complete and anticlimactic until we see the bike ripping!
