After that hacking incident no thanks.
It was a minor breach in Finland, and no information was stolen because NordVPN doesn’t keep logs. Also it was the fault of the server providers, not Nord.
@@EZScape EZscape they only released that information to the public because they where pressured to do so. In fact that it was a Server Key that was stolen, and a dummy server could of been created and ran for the entire month, before the Key was changed. I Really. REALLY recommend researching it. Especially Tom Scott's video on VPN's and JayTwoCents Video on it. They also do not know if Many if not more NordVPN servers are also completely compromised.

It's because he pays back his loans regularly, so it's actually fairly safe that you'd get what you loaned him back on top of whatever extra is agreed upon at some point.
It's a low risk situation for a high return; you just have to wait a while until he gets enough money saved up to pay you back.

Man, this whole video was like a PSA on the dangers of gambling and gambling addiction. It's almost textbook about how some people act outside the game - place some bets that go badly with money they couldn't afford to lose (or at least, really didn't want to lose), take out loans to chase the losses, and find themselves in a vicious spiral where they feel like the only way they can actually escape is to keep trying to take out loans until they hit that big (and unlikely) win or streak.

What about the time Jagex did nothing when a kid maxed out their parents credit card? Jagex became a Crap Company a long time ago.
Parents can easily just claim fraud at the bank and get their money back as long as it was in their name and not the kids. Jagex doesn't even have to be involved for that to resolve.
@@GSol17 no they cant, i work for a high retail bank in the uk, its not fraud unless they press charges, you can check ip address from where the card was used, so they will know it come from that house the card holder is living at, you cant dispute it. you could contact the police and get them charged but hows a kid going to pay that back?

honestly we can't know if he is already taking drugs or not. Wouldn't be uncommon for gambling addicts with huge debts.
It is also possible that the money from the stake went to the guy(s) who lent the money. There has been a huge item and gold duplication glitch going on recently on osrs, where people crash the server on purpose so that the game struggles to remember what people have in their inventory. This can cause the same amount of money that was traded before the server crashed to be duplicated on those accounts.
This happens because not every person has the same "save load" after the server comes back up. And this also means that the gold can disappear from the game completely.

gosh, seeing all this drama from OSRS is such a throwback to the ol' days. Love this video, its fun to get an inside look on a game I love and left so long ago.
@EZScape There were another 2 times items were returned. They were due to the rollback with the twisted bow spawn. An iron died at GWD and lost some items, retrieved them, logged before the system reset timer, posted to Reddit and it got big. When the rollback happened, he was rollbacked before his death but the items were missing still.
Another player traded their Zerk 50m and it was missing from both accounts. That was also refunded.
Brings me back to SGDQ ❤️ happy to see some scape content!!

The ending bit if I recall correctly. His opponent used some type of stall. Like he mass clicked an item in His inventory or maybe an emote. That prompted a chat option or a game message appearing, which stalled him from dying first.
While I do feel bad for the game bugging out and losing him a lot of money, he decided to continue staking after this all happened

It's stuff like this being the reason why many Streamers sort of ditched that exclusive Pk'ing and Staking content and have just settled with Ironman accounts.Even some PvP-Exclusive Streamers make content more on the build-up and results of their accounts for a while.
Even Jagex are sort of embracing players making these types of accounts and made the Twisted League which is essentially a Region-Locked Ironman competition. Which right now seems to have a better reception than their attempt at making Deadman Mode an Esport.

I think that they should implement the same system ff14 has. A ONE time item retrieval system. They can check recent logs for proof and you only get thos service once. You cleared the hardest current raid and accidently while clearing out your inventory got rid of your token? Contact a gm. Lost a large amount of gil due to a bug? Same thing. Gms can check logs for legitimacy and if they see things line up, you get your ONE thing back, Once for your account

There's a lot of things that aren't true towards the end of the video. Odablock wasn't hopping worlds to get away from DDoSers (maybe at the start) but he was literally hopping on purpose just to grief people on those worlds. Jagex also has been begun to refund items if bugs happen, like when the second Raid came out or when they messed up by making regular worlds to Deadman worlds, their policy has been that if it's their fault, they'll refund it. The squirrel incident was probably before they updated their systems to keep track of this stuff.
What If they implement a ticket system like in csgo gambling that way the system picks a winner before the match so if it picks that 1 wins even if ddos happens 1 still wins. This will be needed to be tweaked ofcourse based on stats

Indeed they absolutely can. However if RS3 taught us anything, it only takes one spastic to ruin it. The price of mages books and archers rings were destroyed forever as a rather immensely big number of them were returned by mistake and the people dumped them into the market.

Better contact Runescape and tell them right away, "Hey, my money got refunded, but RebelOG claims he did not get refunded, and he cannot tell a lie (he told me so himself), so it must be a glitch in your system. Please give me the money that RebelOG most certainly does not have."

in theory they could make a backup of your player data from maybe 40 seconds prior and have it that if the server sees that multiple people got disconnected it would go to the oldest secondary file? *alternate idea is a reply to this*
sortof going like this:
backup2 becomes backup3
backup1 becomes backup2
main file becomes backup1
current data is saved as main file
backup3 is deleted
if it detects issues it should look for backup3 first, if there isnt any or its data is corrupt look for backup2, if there isnt any or its data is (also?) corrupt look for backup1, if corrupt or missing look for the main file, if there arent any issues detected it should look for the main file first, the backup1 next, then backup2 and then backup3. going to the next if its missing or corrupt
my other idea is just, if they have video of it doing weird things then they should return stuff but the video must be posted publicly on either youtube or twitch and been viewed by alot of people
higher amounts would need higher requirements (in this case, more than 1 billion, being live?) but very small things (pets and other purely cosmetic/aesthetic stuff that you can buy for cheap and cant sell or gift away and things related) would require less stuff
though imo the very first to report that they had an issue and someone else proves it can happen should get some kind of compensation (like 1/10 or 1/100 of their initial claim?)
