@@AZIMBAYO1 Nice video Are u from GT?
Yes I'm from Guyana 🇬🇾
I move to Florida in 2005
@@AZIMBAYO1 kool,I'm from Melanie East Coast. It's funny I was looking up info on UA-cam n stumbled on this video. I do construction in Jersey too,HIC contractor. Nice videos man.
Thank you for this. I am starting a 60x30 shower project and have a niche that looks like that. Haven't done shower tile and this will really help me. Great idea on the quartz shelf.
Very detailed one of the best I have seen on Niche. it's very helpful for my project.
THANK YOU AZIM!!! I have watched many niche installations but your's really the most detailed and easy to follow . I will be follow your UA-cam skills! You are VERY skilled and talented. You have made my life easier! God Bless and Happy New Year!
Master!!!
Nicely done. I like the use of the quartz base. Beautiful shower.
I love the one piece quartz shelf! Clean look! Nice job!
Thanks for watching 👍
I watched a lot of videos on UA-cam about making a niche however you’re the only one who talks about the slope be in 1/8 and that’s the answer I was searching for.
Thanks for watching 👍
Looks amazing 👍
Very nice job. I used the same profile instead of a bull nose tile at the end of the shower wall. I found it to be less forgiving in that area because the thinset grit and the material thickness raise it off the wall slightly. This causes your wall tile to be at a very slight angle on the wall. Combine that with the cut edge of the ceramic tile is slightly thicker than the factory edge and not the tile sits slightly proud of the profile. Fitting you to pray the grout line will make it look somewhat acceptable. On the shower niche you can use all factory edges and fill in behind the profile with thinset so it has a much cleaner look.
If I had to do it all over again I would have special ordered a profile to match the cut edge of my tile. No one seems to stock a variety of sizes in the polished nickel.
Just pointing that out for your viewers. Your installation looks perfect.
You can use thin spots of construction adhesive to get the whole profile channel against the wall tight, with temporary screws before tiling anything and it shouldn't have any bump out issue. I just remove most of the back butter thinset from the channel thickness part of the tile.
Cool idea looks awesome 👍
Azim, thank you for your tiles videos. You have the best tile niche videos on youtube. I tiled my niche exactly the way you do and professional results. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching 👍
Amazing, well explained video! Keep up the good work 👍🏽
Thank you for this great video ... I applied your technique to my own shower and it looks amazing.
Thank you for a great video! You answered all of the questions I had for the project I was working on (even what edging I wanted to use. The AE100 looks amazing! The niche looks great!
Thank you very much for watching 👍👍
Awesome, thanks just what I needed to tile a niche. Excellent video!!
Nice. I’m always a fan of the tiles installed vertically.
Good stuff man! Turned out really nicely 😉
Nice work ! You have a ton of talent and patience.
Thank you so much 🙂
And thanks for watching 👍
Awesome work. Thanks for sharing 👍
Fantastic. You should be really proud of yourself. Quartz base is really nice
Looks great! The only thing I’d do differently esthetic-wise, is match the tile orientation on the linear drain to the rest of the shower floor…that would make it more seamless looking.
Well done friend
Good work sir exilent
great job my Friend!! very nice!1
Best one I've seen!!!
Great video great quality craftsmanship
You do a very good job.Wish mine looked that neat.
Nice
Good job
Looks awesome your a master tiler!
Great job 👏
Nice work. You gave me a great idea to extend my thin shower niche by using a ledger of quartz. Well DOne
I am going to do the same with mine. Like the quartz ledger and schluter metal banding. This was a great video !
Thanks for watching 👍👍
I was able to find a threshold piece of marble that you would use for a door threshild. It was I think ...32 inches. I cut it very easily w a wet tile saw. Fit perfectly and looks great. Its very smooth and water runs off it extrelemy well. Love this video bc it really opened my eyes to a great way to finish off my niche. I also added LED lighting.
Yeah that is awesome. And the LED light is a great idea 👍👍
Thank you so much for watching my videos 🙂👍👍
@@Craig5150EVH LED lighting!!! ? How did you do that? Do you have a video on how you did it or how it can be done?
Damn I wish I had the time to learn how to do this!!! Excellent work bro!!!

Nice job.
Looks awesome
nice job
Nice work. Very clean job.
Leave room between the metal and tile for grout, I also believe water can get inside the miter cuts because there is no grout between the miter joints
Very good ~

Outstanding job....I'd hire you 👍👌
Heyyyy... thank you very much 👍
I watch your videos all the time
I definitely learn a few things from you over the years.
I'm sure that shower will hold up for years , well done...I would say however that you don't really need to make those dog ears on sill, as once you install the side nitche pieces you would have a half inch dog ear naturally without notching and I believe that's enough without having to worry about them ever being broken off. Also when installing the mosiac tiles on nitche back you should space a slight joint against sill , this way the grout or better yet silicone has a space to go in. I never butt tiles to tiles without a slight gap.. .
Nice work Azim ;)
Excellent video brother. 👍 Just subscribed.
Absolutely beautiful work and equally fantastic step by step process! I do have a question: why did you use 3 pieces for the top inside of the niche vs. 1 longer piece?
My husband and I are cuter working on our bath remodel and are just wondering why you did it in 3 pieces across the top. Thanks in advance
Nice work bruh!
👍👍thanks for watching
I Would contract you to do mine in a second. Great job SIR!
Thank you👍
Do you leave a gap between the metal trim pieces and the wall tile?
Is the edge you filed against the back tile or the metal trim?
awesome you did an amazing job bro

Thank you

@@AZIMBAYO1 Can you walk in Lagos Nigeria
Maybe someday I will visit Nigeria 👍👍
Well I'm working on my first bathroom tile project and I have a new appreciation for those that are good at this. This is a challenge but I'm getting there. What is your favorite grout? Are you familiar with Laticrete Spectralock 1 premixed grout? Thanks again.
Jeff
👌👍
What blade are you using? Also could you have tiled the back first and let it extend to the bottom edge of the niche, then installed the bottom ledge to butt up with the back tiles like you did with the sides and top of the niche?
شغل جميل
It's a good video. I was surprised to see the chipped edges between the tile and the profile, or why you wouldn't take a diamond pad and polish those tile chipped edges before setting the tile. Grout doesn't cover chips. Also that the anchor legs weren't embedded in thinset before setting tile over them. Anyway, still hard work and looks good.
It looks like between the thinset on the wall and the backbutter of the tile, there will be more than enough thinset to secure the trim.
Not bad
Hi Azim, thanks for the video, Can you link to those lippage tools you used on the top tiles in the niche? at 25:13 in the video. Are they good only for small tile pieces or do they work on larger tiles?
Thanks
Vreat work and video.. What is the brand of hex tiles you are using for this. I love them.
Nice work. Question.. are you using a 7" blade on a 10" saw? I was thinking of doing that myself too lessen the radius. Do you see any problem with doing that?
Thanks again
Jeff
Alvin and the chipmunks do my head in!!!!
MARE MESERIAȘ.ARUNCĂ MATERIALELE PE JOS .
Amazing Work. Question. Where i can found the quartz base?
Also, o you butt the trim tight to the shelf id let a gap for grout?
What brand and style of tile is on the walls? Thank you
Beautiful work but Azim messed up grout by mixing Grout additive to Ultra Color Plus FA. This grout is strictly add water ONLY per manufacturer.
Great work! If you made the niche a little smaller in width you could have saved yourself a lot of extra work!
Yes... but I did frame the niche the customer did. I just install the tiles.
And the 12 by 24 tiles around the niche was very difficult to cut
@@AZIMBAYO1 I do tile showers full time. I always try and land on the tile edges so I dont have to cut U or L shapes. By making it a little lower and not as wide it would have been easier and less time. It is very hard to make it perfect when making U cuts. Ill make L cuts from time to time but I havent had to make a U cut in forever. Sometimes it’s necessary to convince the customer in the layout/size of the niche bc they only usually have a general idea. I make the bottom of the framed niche 1/4” lower then my tile and a 1/4” higher as well to make room for error. In havent tried cutting my metal trim with a grinder yet but I will soon. My chop saw doesnt get the mitered corners perfectly so Im always sanding the corners and it’s annoying! Keep up the great work and I look forward to seeing more of your videos!
Hey thank you so much for watching.
👍👍
Nice work. Couple questions please... when cutting the mosaic yile. What are you placing under the sheet to cut? Also, when cutting glass mosaics, do I need a special blade or use the porcelain blade I have?
Thanks a bunch
Jeff
I use cardboard under the mosaic tile when cutting it.
And I use a blade rated to cut glass tile
@Azim Rahamatali OK good. Thank you
