I loved this show when I was growing up in the 80s, I was lucky to be a kid in these time now it's all ruined with social media, technology etc, also tv is mainly reality tv and show making untalented people famous. Thanks for this its surely is a blast from the past🙂👍
Fun fact: Dawn, the girl on vocals, is the Oscar-winning film director Andrea Arnold, and the guy playing keyboard is the Oscar-nominated film composer Patrick Doyle.
I used to believe that they really lived there. I remember being confused when seeing Neil Buchanan on later shows. Oh the 80s.
I was 6 !!! Loved No 73 😂
I was 6 also. What a bloody great time to be a kid ,eh ?
Surprisingly, The Maidstone Studios still use Maidstone 600 000 as their main telephone number.
Incidentally, who noticed that on the skit with the two mice in the boot, at the end, the top mouse's claw fell off! Nightmare fuel!
Maidstone studios is turning into a housing estate unfortunately, a lot of the land has been sold off
I loved the serials, The Z Team and Jayne Bond. I do miss them.
What I remember from this show was when they used to make those tall sandwiches with about 30 layers.
@TheMeakers Yes, as soon as I saw it I thought I remembered that from Art Attack.
That art project resurfaced into the third series of Art Attack shown in the early of 1992 TheMeakers.
@Classictv90s Well spotted!
What wonderful memories this brings back !! Well that's what I did 30 years ago and now I'm doing something quite different.

+Nick Staverson Was Neil Really Fun to Work with?
Great fun. Always made me laugh, even when I shouldn't!
Hi Nick,
It's such a shame children's Saturday morning tv isn't like this anymore.. Great days and was glad to be a kid in the 80s. Great show.
All the best

I remember when the gang presented the Children's ITV programme links in summer '84 from a beach somewhere. In one link, Ethel & co. all tipped buckets of sea water over Harry, in his swimshorts. He gave them the finger, not sure he realised the camera was still rolling lol! Wonder if Nick remembers that lol!
Yes, I remember when they presented Children's ITV...had no idea it was live...and I was too young to know what a finger was!
This is todays adult's childhood
No.73 is 30 years old next year the same age as TVS.
@Classictv90s That's right; it's one day younger than TVS!
Didn't Neil do that art project in an edition of Art Attack in the early 1990s TheMeakers?
Does anyone remember that episode where people kept taking Ethel's breakfast, and poor Dawn was so fustrated because she kept making her a new one?
Do you have any Episodes with Richard Waites in? I really want to hear more of his voice, its so different from his Zzzap character!
why dont they ever lock the bathroom its the same in other programmes.
er...no lock on the door!? Just like in some peoples real houses?
The ending...how embarrassing
