TV Reflow Attempt - does it work?

- My attempt to reflow the T-Con and main boards of a Vivo LTV42FHD LCD TV - which interestingly is full of LG Internals ('Life's Good' - with a crap TV...). In the oven at 200 deg C for 10 minutes per multiple Internet 'instructionals' - yeah, we'll see about that!
Hi. I have a VIVO LTV FHD LTV42FHD (42") at home. It works normally but I hear an annoying whiz sound when I turn it on. It seems to me that the whiz sound is stronger on the right side (looking from the front as a spectator). Is my TV repariable? Do you have any guesses? I am not a TV electrician and I want to see if it is worth spending money to have it fixed. Thank you
Looks like this TV was released about 2009, making in ancient and not worth repairing - inless you can do it yourself. The whizzing sound could be anything, from a choke to a transformer or capacity (about to fail) on the main board. Each of these issues could take hours to problem solve by a technician. Sometimes you can swap board out if you can find the exact model number of the board, but with no experience yourself, I would not pursue repairing it. A 'reflow' will definitely not help in this case, reflow is only useful for poor soldered joints. These are the types of TV's people are throwing out for free. Sorry I can't be more useful.
@@pescado99 Thank you very much. This is all I need to know.
