    Great review! Thank you for going over the profiles! DeLonghi documentation is sparse to say the least. I tried for two days to connect the app. iPhone and iPad said nope. Also kinda weird is having to log in EVERYTIME you want to use the app. In the end, I just deleted the app, and set up profiles manually. I’d give the machine 5 stars, app 0 stars. Again, thank you for the review!

      Hi EC! The machine is coming to market in the next few weeks - only a few machines were shipped to North America initially, which is why it isn't listed with most retailers. I would recommend subscribing to our 'Back In Stock' notification here on the HCS website to be notified as soon as it's available: www.homecoffeesolutions.com/products/delonghi-dinamica-plus-super-automatic-espresso-cappuccino-machine-ecam37095t-titanium?_pos=1&_sid=a903adb4c&_ss=r

      The brewing system is supposed to be very similar - so likely not much a difference in terms of quality of coffee. The Dinamica Plus has a lot more features, however. The Dinamica Plus has plenty of user presets and clever ability to finely adjust coffee strength and volumes, so I'd recommend it if you are living as a family and have people with different drink preferences. If you're living alone as a single person, the Evo will likely work just fine.

    I tried reaching you folks by phone,
    How does the denamica compare to the Eletta Cappucino Top, are they equal or does the cappucino top
    have any advantages over the Dinamica Plus?

    • @HomeCoffeeSolutions
      @HomeCoffeeSolutions  2 роки тому +4

      The Eletta Cappuccino Top is my personal favourite between the two. The Eletta seems to be capable of reaching a finer grind size for stronger espresso shots. This is especially useful for milk-based drinks or straight espresso. The Eletta Cappuccino Top also has two frothing systems, manual and automatic, for optionally hotter milk with a better micro-foam texture. The wand is also useful for powder based milk beverages like hot chocolates and match lattes. Additionally, the Eletta top also has a dedicated heating element for cup warming.
      All the Dinamica machines have better tasting long coffee and also have a well executed unique iced coffee function. The new Dinamica Plus is also undoubtably better user experience - it has better programability for user presets and advanced milk drink customization.
      Careful note though - my note is regarding the Eletta 'Top' model, not the standard Eletta or the 'evo'.
      In the end it's up to personal preference and where your priorities are. :)

Chemicals not only BPA but the other harsh cancer causing chemicals that are usually leaked out into your milk and into your drink when heated when the plastic is heated is the milk double walled meaning glass? I am concerned about toxicity. Can you answer all of my questions please

    If you don’t use all the milk in a day would you have to empty it? I mean is the milk ok to leave it there for a day or two? Obviously is not in fridge…

    • @HomeCoffeeSolutions
      @HomeCoffeeSolutions  3 роки тому +3

      The carafe keeps the milk cold for a couple hours an hour or two on the counter. As a general rule of thumb, you always want to keep it in the fridge as much as possible. The good news is that the whole frothing system is designed to be easily removed and stored in the fridge while you're not using it. Hope this helps :)

    • @MarkJT1000
      @MarkJT1000 3 роки тому

      @HomeCoffeeSolutions  Рік тому

      Philips 5400 is a great machine and they go spec-and-spec. It's usually cheaper and be a really good value. My opinion would go to the Dinamica plus if you have a few hundred more to spare - better durability and can brew with a finer grind size which is more important for cappuccinos and other milk based beverages.

    is this better than the xelsis from saeco?

    • @HomeCoffeeSolutions
      @HomeCoffeeSolutions  2 роки тому +1

      The Xelsis is a bit of an older machine with great build quality - stainless steel casing and a ceramic grinder. The Dinamica excels in features in programability. I also think the espresso extraction in the Dinamica is better, to my personal taste.

    how hot is the milk foam. I'm finding most automatic machines it makes a very cold cappacino as it does not heat the milk. Want a hot chocolate forget about it if it comes out very luke warm

    • @HomeCoffeeSolutions
      @HomeCoffeeSolutions  3 роки тому +2

      Ah! Good question. Milk temperature is the trade-off you will get for having a fully automated milk system. Automated frothers only come into momentary contact with the steam, so the milk temperature is intrinsically lower than if you were steaming with a wand. It's absolutely not luke warm. That's an exaggeration some people make about automatic systems, however it is noticeable - especially if you are not adding hot coffee to it and only having the milk by itself.
      If you're getting a fully automatic system, I would consider warming the cups prior to use. The biggest temperature drop happens when the milk/coffee hits the glass.
      Hope this helps!

    • @HomeCoffeeSolutions

      No it cannot, unfortunately. That's one feature high in demand in the North American market that few manufacturers have delivered on, mostly since these machines are designed in Europe where fewer people drink them. For that, I would examine Gaggia's fully auto lineup, otherwise use the hot water faucet after each brew.

    It's ok. Makes a good machiatto, decent espresso. All the other drinks are weak and mostly taste the same. Flat white is absolutely terrible... Warm milk. Drinks aren't very hot, and portions are European size (small). Probably returning mine and trying the Jura Z10

    • @HomeCoffeeSolutions
      @HomeCoffeeSolutions  Рік тому +1

      Milk temperature issues tend to happen with any of the automatic frothing systems, since they steam only comes into momentary contact with the milk. For automatic, Jura/DeLonghi/Philips/Gaggia etc, I'd recommend preheating glasses and using double-walled insulation. That usually helps a lot.
      For coffee strength - the grind size actually has the biggest effect on beverage strength, not the strength adjustment in the menu system. That will only control the dosage.
      Portions are also programmable. However note they are set to ratios - 2/3 coffee/milk for a cappuccino. 1/3 coffee milk for a latte. A lot of coffee shops in North America don't follow the standards so it may seem out of the norm.

      @Greggiexplore - thanks for sharing your experience. From my years of using espresso machines, I have a few thoughts and recommendations:
      - Espresso strength is largely defined grind size, which must be done via the dial in the back of the machine and is not handled by the machine automatically. Drastically different results will occur with a couple notches on the grind adjustment dial. This is called the 'dialling in' process (I would recommend a google search) and should be done quickly when initializing the machine or changing coffee beans to taste. For stronger espresso shots, you will need to increase the finest of the grind. The machine can pull shots in any strength you want to set it to.
      - Best results will come from a medium-dark roast coffee. Some medium to light roasts will be harder to work with and won't extract as nicely. I would recommend starting off with Lavazza Gran Espresso or Super Crema. These will yield great results easily.
      Hope these notes help you on your espresso journey and for your next machine!
