    I've got an older model, no auto milk frother and no touch screen. Had it for over 5 years with daily use. Still works great, never had a problem with it. Couple of tips, don't forget to wipe off the frother tip after use and every couple of months clean out the grinder module, there's a lever on it that'll move the plate down the shaft to access the lower parts, just wipe it down with a damp rag. Also the water tank is kinda small I only get a few full cups per fill and the ground hopper full indicator when only half full, so I just empty it everything I fill water. You'll need to wash out the hopper frequently since the damp grounds stick in the hopper. Enjoy!

      Quite a bit more than my daily $19.00 Mr. Coffee machine I use that I got from Wally World! My splurge was an Aero Press, about as close to a cup of Expresso Machine made coffee as I could get on a budget.

    Hey brother, appreciate the review and I find it very cool that you live in the philippines. My wife and I just moved to Mexico and would love to check out the Philippines one day. Wanted to ask you how the machine has treated you over the last year. Any issues to speak of? I'm very interested in this product but I've heard that it breaks prematurely. Love to know your experience. Thanks!

      Using the DeLonghi every day. Start out making 4 cups in the morning for myself (2 cups), wife and gardener. Then a speciality coffee in the afternoon or evening. No problems as of this date and couldn't be more happy with our purchase. After 1 year I still give this 2 thumbs up! 👍🏻👍🏻

    Do you leave the beans in the hopper? I read somewhere to keep the beans in the freezer to keep them fresh, and only pull out enough to grind for each cup. Blasted Gadgets! Costco had air fryer on sale last week... now we have one on our counter, and the wife is experimenting, so far chicken wings are decent.

      @@MyPIDream We love coffee, I've always wanted an expresso maker. I've been fascinated by them since I first saw them in Sicily when I was stationed there at NAS Sigonella back in 1980. We used to go to the local town of Catana and go into the little coffee shops that faced the central fountain, they would have a giant expresso machine and people would be sitting at the counters drinking expresso with their savory or sweet treats, they also had a wall of liquors on the back wall people would drink. It was an amazing cultural experience for me as a young guy in the service. I remember returning back to the US and thinking, it's too bad we don't have something like that here. Fast forward many decades later and Starbucks is everywhere now kind of serving that same niche with a similar concept, but without the feel of sitting in the warm sun with vespas and italian chatter all around you as you sit and watch the world spin around the central fountain enjoying a favorite cup of joe. I make small cups using an Aero Press, but I'm still contemplating buying that Expresso machine someday. I'm glad you found a nice one. I'll look into it. Enjoy! ☺

    Just a heads up, when selecting coffee look for beans that are dry, beans that are oily in appearance can(will) clog up the grinder and the machine will stop working, that was my mistake on mine. I ignored that warning, about a year after owning (warranty expired) mine had problems with not filling the cup, water running out onto the counter. I attempted to clean the unit myself and that was a disaster, so many sensors and switches. I took it to a local shop and the cost for repair was so high I just bought another machine. Just remember NO OILY BEANS!

    • @MyPIDream
      @MyPIDream  Рік тому +1

      No oily beans...check. It actually says that in the manual.

    • @coocoocachooglin
      @coocoocachooglin Рік тому

      Interesting that you brought that up, I had the same question in my mind about oily beans and if that would cause an issue in the mechanisms.

    • @franklentz5388
      @franklentz5388 Рік тому

      That machine is a very nice machine, it is also very expensive….
      I looked on lazada for an alternative, look up Lattego 3200, it doesn’t have all the bells and whistles but it does make a cup of fresh ground espresso, cappuccino coffee. When my expensive machine broke down I replaced it with a new Lattego 3200 for less than the cost of repairing the expensive machine. So far I’ve had it over 3 years and it’s working flawlessly but I do pay more attention to getting dry beans. I find that blonde roast beans tend to be the best, stay away from espresso or French roast, if you want darker roast buy a ground roast and bypass the machines grinder.
      Another thing, I just can’t stand “flavored coffee”, if you brew a cup in these machines that flavor will carry over in the machine for quite a number of regular cups.

    • @franklentz5388
      @franklentz5388 Рік тому

      @@TheHelicapt compare a lighter roast bean to a French roast, you’ll see the difference, dark roast beans have a shiny appearance while most lighter roasts have a dull look.
