The intricate little details is what makes this game so awesome, like how a German Rifleman would carry his weapon while running as opposed to an American rifleman. It was one of the first things I noticed when I picked this game up on console back in October. Almost any archival footage or photos of the Wehrmacht show them running that way.

IMO: The best one here is "your uniform matters." (including the white helmets).
Don't know how many times I've told others they stick out like a sore thumb b/c of their white helmets.
Or to use the lvl 7 & up german skins w/ the winter face and netting helmet. That covers the most possible skin and you can be very sneaky with it.
Amen to this comment, I remember sniping and seeing a whole group of Germans medics and instantly putting my focus solely on them everytime I seen one.

great video. just the right amount of helpful details, not necessarily tied to shooting or what class is what. I'm only a 58 and still consider myself noob in this game and this was helpful.

I'm Level 42 and still learning this game takes time to learn. It's not cod or BF Don't worry about you're kd don't worry If you play an hour long game and only get 5 kills this game takes time. Don't go all out sprinting you'll die 99 percent of the time. Take cove have look for movement and pick people off. Don't rush with no back up always use you're mic mark enemy positions and it'll all come to you in time.
And NEVER -- drop the airhead in front of the objective or even within 100m unless needed for emergency defense repositioning for your team.

@@kevrapp44 yeah I don't understand it. Like why push new players away when the more player equals better games. Last night there was 2 new players in my squad and I told them everything I know and they were so thankful. Best thing to do is not to listen to them bro leave the squad and join another one.
@@kevrapp44 i think the dickheads are the 'new' players, the veterans are always willing to help. At least that's my experience when i started playing this game. But maybe things have changed since i've started. (Many hours ago;)) good job for taking them under your wing btw

The iff tips will come in handy.
TOP COMBAT INFANTRY DO'S AND DONT'S FOR ALL ROLES.
1. Just buy that fecking microphone.
2. Use pings and mark that enemy on the map ffs.
3. Leave that supply truck alone if you don't know what to do with it.
4. Don't attack from a single garrison or direction. Don't always attack straight ahead. It's not WW1. Learn to flank or go behind enemy lines. You will more likely surprise the enemy and have a chance to destroy their ops and garrisons.
5. Use those grenades.
6. Don't use smoke when you defend a point. You are making it easier for the enemy. You need to see where they are coming from.
7. Use those ap mines and satchels. They are super effective. Just don't place mines in the middle of paths and doorways where you can spot them from 100KM away. Use foliage as cover. Always shout out when you place a satchel.
8. Don't shoot your AT rockets when you see a friendly sneaking to or nearby the enemy tank. It's probably an engeener trying to bomb it and you are about to feck up his ambush. He will be way more effective then you and your rockets. Save them for later. Better cover him for enemy infrantry.
9. Don't use MG only when you see the enemy. Don't use it only for sniping with short bursts of fire. It's a fecking machine gun. It's used to suppress the enemy. Position yourself in the back, ask your team to keep up the enemy pings and lay constant fire. Especially when you are attacking or defending a strong point. The enemy won't see you, you won't see the enemy but they will feel your fire and they will keep laying low allowing friendly infrantry to advance.
10. Place those ammo boxes on strongpoints or bottleneck areas. They are super helpful.
11. Don't give up straight away when you see a medic 30m or closer. They will come and pick up on most occasions.

In addition, and maybe even test out on your own(I’m curious it’s been working).
Instead of serpentining open fields, I’ve been trying what is called buddy rushes, or in some cases squad rushes. *It’s a current technique used for that specific scenario in the military* -where you run while standing or crouched, then drop to prone… then repeat- While using the ditty “I’m up… they see me… I’m down” you can maneuver with a buddy/squad while they provide cover fire and overview.
this would work great if you could see over grass, but its not as practical in game. cover to cover w suppressing fire is your alternative to that
What's funny is you can do all this and be an absolute unit, yet a noob can still take you out with zero warning. Hell let loose is like BDSM of shooters lol

Great video! I watch vids to determine if I purchase or not. What is your build? The gameplay looks pretty smooth how does it hold up to a real match?
I would loved to have seen/heard how much noise slow walking and slow walking when ads'ing makes as thats what I do when I know enemies are near or when I enter a building I suspect the enemy are occupying as walking on wooden floors make so much noise
Did the manual detonation of mines change in update 11 or the recent patch? I've not played much AT since the kit rebalance but I scored many, many kills before by lining up 2/3 mines (depending on how armoured a tank was) at the tank's rear as close as you could place them, and then right click dropping a nade on top of one mine. Can confirm it used to chain all mines placed, and blow the enemy armour to the stratosphere.
That will no longer work, any chain reaction set off by friendly explosive will not damage armor

This is why when 2 mines are placed it will only deal 1 mine worth of damage. The other mine is essentially "blown up" but doesn't deal vehicle damage it only receives damage.
So best practice would be to separate your mines pretty far apart
@@Raz_Bora I follow you, in that case it would explain how Tigers and Jumbos bit the dust, as I'd try to space three mines across the rear for the big boys, thus the resultant two mines worth of payload were making a kill. If indeed its been this way since 10, I might try and play around a bit, as oddly a one mine/one nade trick was working on recon/trucks in the past. @@Synergy31337 yep, you got it. The way I understand it is once something is blown up it can't hurt anything else. It can only be impacted by 1 other thing
Biggest issue to me is the icons that flash on off and all the dif ones. Not ha ing a map is disconserting too ha ing to bring it up is a weird mechanic all initself

Can you cook Soviet grenades?
Serpentine is not very useful. Takes you alot longer to cross an open patch given that running sideways increases the distance you need to run.
If someone serpentines like a total dolt you generally just aim in the middle of his pattern and let him run into your sights if you have a bolt action.
Better tip is to not cross open areas if someone has eyes on them since you'll generally be screwed unless they are terrible shots.
Being erratic in your movement might be helpful at 200+ meters if caught in the open though, depending on what is shooting at you.
Run in a straight line and you’ll end up in one of my videos. Sometimes there is no way to get from point A to B without crossing an opening.
@@AlpineSniper The amount of extra shots you get at someone serpentining usually makes up for them being only slightly harder to hit.
Of course it always depends situations, there is no one way of doing things but generally serpentine will just get you killed as reaching cover faster is preferable.
If you have to cross an open area overwatched by enemy you'll need smokes or effective suppression to give you an even remote chance. With none of that its better (depending on the tactical situation overall)to stay put and have a shootout until its clear.

It still in most cases is easier to see
What we found is that the white is like an off white color, so as alpine mentioned you can still very easily notice it compared to the snow

So I know about the grenades cooking vs not, but....why?
Because American grenades have a spring loaded lever on it. Once the safety pin is pulled, you can hold it however long you want to. But once you throw it, the fuse begins to burn and will blow up in 3 to 5 second.
The German grenade doesn’t have a lever that you can hold, so once you pull the fuse the grenade is triggered and the fuse is counting down. If you don’t throw it, the grenade will blow up in your hands.
American “pineapple” grenades won’t, as long as you hold onto the lever after the safety pin is pulled. Hope that helped you.
@@Billo1281 I worded the question poorly and didn't ask what I really meant to ask. You answered the question I asked very well. But what I MEANT to ask is why does HLL not give you the option to release the spoon on the American grenade to begin cooking it? It makes the grenades uneven.
