The GoPro footage looks better overall, in my opinion. However, the insta does seem to produce slightly more detail on the manta. Also the colour rendition of the insta on the manta seems slightly better. The GoPro has more of a reddish hue on the white of the manta compared to the insta. I'm curious why the footage from the insta is brighter. Is this because it handles low light shooting better than the GoPro? Anyway, excellent videos of a beautiful animal and thanks for an interesting comparison 🙂
GoPro always produce warmer color compares to others, resolution wise Insta360 Ace Pro equipped with larger 1/1.3” sensor over GoPro’s 1/1.9” sensor. And regards to brightness, I preset to limit the ISO range of GoPro from 100 to 800, lower its light sensitivity to avoid capturing unwanted particles, also purposely to create more contrast image. Insta360 Ace Pro emphasized its enhanced low light sensitivity, in this case it seems a disadvantage while the scene was illuminated by additional video light. 😊
