You also have to remember to dry your breads after the bath because if using sand in its cage small parts of the sand can easily get sick inbetween the air ways for breadies which can be Crucial to them.
What about baby soap? I saw in a hedgehog video baby soap doesn't have any chemicals or not any bad crap in it. Can I use it to bath him or will it get all in his scales and gunk it up?
If ur bearded dragon drowns and dies you've done this right😂 thx man all I needed to know just playing tho good job on the video you've got a like from me
I really love bearded dragons and i want one so much but unfortunately I can't afford what it needs to survive because of economical issues, can someone tell me how much money do I need to spend to buy tanks, lamps, insects and in general what a BD needs? I would appreciate it, of course I will make sure that I have what it needs before I buy one.
I'm sure this is a basic guideline on how much you need to spend for your bearded dragon :) Also, keep in mind that there are other expenses for insects and vegetables depending on their age. Maybe an additional of $100-$200 a month for food. Hope this helps! www.beardeddragon.org/articles/newbies-guide-what-to-buy/
The care is quite easy and so is the setup ( try looking on your local classifieds) you can make an easy plywood tank with sliding plexiglass doors(50$), lamp fixture(15$), tile(15$) basking spot ( none if you have access to sticks), plastic container for feed( probably have one around the house), a plastic sliding door track(15$) and a UVB UVA bulb . When your bearded dragon is young it will need a 100% protein diet and will eat 5o-100 crickets a day. The adults diet consists of 20% insects and 80% plant produce. For cheap you can either buy crickets online or get some from a pet store and breed them yourself. For the adults you can make a healthy salad and you can learn how to do that by just googling it. All in all bearded dragons don't much, and make great pets. I hope this helps!!!
John Syvertsen Babies need baths too. Even more than adults do, because they're constantly growing. Misting doesn't really do much for them, so a bath is the best option. Beardies get hydrated through their mouths and vents, both areas not able to reach through misting. :)
Hunter MetalHead there are tons of different 'morphs'. I highly recommend watching some of Michel behrends videos! He breeds beardies and absolutely loves them.
So I gave mine a Bath for the first Time I put him In the bathtub and let him soak. I accidently poured water over his head not knowing that. He should be ok Right??
Scp 436 an adult is easier to keep, but if you like seeing your dragon grow, feel free to get a baby, and for the baby start with an adult vivarium to save money.
My first beardie was a stunningly beautiful yellow/orange leatherback (don't know the morph) that I got for 100% free. I got her when she was a few years old but sadly she died very early because my mom thought she was helping by feeding her not just one but multiple lightning bugs... After much yelling I ended up getting a baby beardie who wasn't as pretty but raising him from a little guy no longer than an anole lizard, into the 16 inch spikey teddy bear that he is today was very cool. The bond they grow with you is amazing when you raise them from babies.
I would say a baby I got a baby to start and if you get them as an adult you don’t know how they were raised or anything like that and if you get it as a baby’s you can raise it how you want and make you that it’s treated correctly
it will come off fine - because of him munching and eating its breaks off fine - you can help the parts on the top of his head and around his chin - but only whens its ready to come off - some beardys you get lucky and it comes off like one big skin - others it sheds in pcs - some people will say this can be because of health and diet but my guy does it differently each time and I look after him the same -
It's okay, I have it now. I just had gotten my first beardie and we were going through our shed so I was worried about trying to do things right... but we've got that figured out now. Thank you
I put my hand in the tank and ball it into a fist and my dragon will rub her head against me to get the shed off, or just give them a bath or let it fall off. Dont pull it off!
Beardies need to sleep at night as they are diurnal ( active during the day). They should NOT have a bright light on at night. Just ensure you have a heat source (if needed) as you don't want them to get much cooler than 60 degrees FH at night.
+Nintendo Julian (Orange) - It all depends on how warm your home is at night. In the wild, nighttime temps can drop into the 70s or even 60s in a bearded dragon's habitat, and beardies can generally acclimatize to that. So if your house has similar temperatures, a heat lamp at night may not be necessary. But if it gets pretty chilly in your home, and temperatures drop dramatically, giving your beardie some extra heat may not be a bad idea.
"if your bearded dragon drowns, you've done this wrong" that's the best.
your sick
Oh Shit 😂😂😂😂😂😂
raylenn Regnier hes saying its a funny comment, good lord.
You also have to remember to dry your breads after the bath because if using sand in its cage small parts of the sand can easily get sick inbetween the air ways for breadies which can be Crucial to them.
*breadies
I absolutely love your beardie! He is gorgeous!!
He got so big! Oh Hank, I remember when he was a little baby!
If I feed my beardie a little while before his bath he'll poop in the bath, then I'll have to clean the water and refill it
Henks so handsome

Should you ever use a old toothbrush to scrub a little bit? Mine hasn’t had a Beth yet, it’s kinda why I’m here.

What about baby soap? I saw in a hedgehog video baby soap doesn't have any chemicals or not any bad crap in it. Can I use it to bath him or will it get all in his scales and gunk it up?

If ur bearded dragon drowns and dies you've done this right😂 thx man all I needed to know just playing tho good job on the video you've got a like from me
Idk what to do, when my baby dragon has a bath in a tub with shallow water is starts puffing and I think he is mad at me :(
Is it OK to gently massage them with a toothbrush to get scales off?
taylor garrison Yes! A lot of people recommend using a clean, soft-bristled baby toothbrush to help with shedding. :)
What about leopard geckos what your recommendations?
Hello guys i am getting a beardie in one day. He will be an adult, so u have any tips?
I put mine in the bath tub, but I scrub it down a little before I put him in. Is this okay?
I really love bearded dragons and i want one so much but unfortunately I can't afford what it needs to survive because of economical issues, can someone tell me how much money do I need to spend to buy tanks, lamps, insects and in general what a BD needs? 100-200 per month.. ? that is very much (at least on the country that i live in).
i think if u come from a country with less great economy it shouldnt need 100~200 for food since where i live a pack of cricket is around 1usd.

Do you guys think you can do more Bearded Dragons? Thx😊
+SpyroTheDragon We'll definitely add them to our video list!
yaaaaas queen
what if its a baby. do I just mist like I always do
John Syvertsen Babies need baths too. Even more than adults do, because they're constantly growing. Misting doesn't really do much for them, so a bath is the best option. Beardies get hydrated through their mouths and vents, both areas not able to reach through misting. :)
my beardy is about one year old nd his color is slightly darker than jank here is this natural or should I be concernd thx for any help.
Hunter MetalHead it's probably fine maybe just a mutation of the color gene

What would be better? To get a baby or adult bearded dragon
Scp 436 baby, you can raise and condition your baby
Scp 436 an adult is easier to keep, but if you like seeing your dragon grow, feel free to get a baby, and for the baby start with an adult vivarium to save money.

Personally I would rather get a baby because you can grow it up
I bathe my beardie two times a week
not an expert, but I think your supposed to put somthing on the bottom for the animal to grip, just for some more comfort for the animal
where can you get the thermometer
Elvira Martinez riteaid
Anywhere rlly..
I'm curious about the shedding on the face, how do you help that?
The Furry Friends obviously too late but if they're like leopard geckos they eat it
Oh, that wasn't really what I was asking.
it will come off fine - because of him munching and eating its breaks off fine - you can help the parts on the top of his head and around his chin - but only whens its ready to come off - some beardys you get lucky and it comes off like one big skin - others it sheds in pcs - some people will say this can be because of health and diet but my guy does it differently each time and I look after him the same -

do you condition the water
Yes
Bearded dragons swim lol
i have a bananna split tree bearded dragon my question is his light when he sleeps do i leave it on or turn it off for him to sleep
Leave it on
Beardies need to sleep at night as they are diurnal ( active during the day). They should NOT have a bright light on at night. Just ensure you have a heat source (if needed) as you don't want them to get much cooler than 60 degrees FH at night.
Keith Cook NO LIGHT AT NIGHT
*How big do Bearded Dragons Get?*
What temperature dose the water have to be
+Brandon Andre - Somewhere between 85 - 92 degrees Fahrenheit is ideal!
Like a childs bath. Luke warm
ive had my bearded dragon for 10 years. havent given him a bath once. lmfao
He must stink
( I'm new to to Bearded Dragons ) So when I sleep, I can't sleep with lots of light so should I keep his lights off during the night?

Heat at night if needed but Definitely no bright lights !
