- A DIY video on how to fix your motorcycle TUBE TIRE PUNCTURES. This is a detailed step by step video where i run you through the simple nuances of the job and how EASY it is to perform the task. Hope this video helps a lot of novice fellow bikers who have never thought of performing this operation by themselves as it is still considered to be a high experience level task.
Ur video is the only video available on UA-cam demonstrating fixing tube tyre. Yea,der is 1 as well from itchy boots.but yes. Urs is way clear content.thnx mate
Glad it helped 😊
@@ONTWOWHEELSBEN pls reply tiny 2nd comment as well. About the tools u used for taking out the tube
For tubes I have always wondered if it does not need to be removed off the bike?
Simply find the nail, screw...that is in the tire, mark the location and then remove the nail.
Next using tire spoons remove 1 side of the tire per normal but while on the bike.
Then pull a section length of the tube out in the area where the nail was. Do the patch applying with the tube layed flat again the tire's side or something you place behind the tube.
Once the patching is complete slide the tube back in. And spoon the tire back onto the rim.
I think in case of cycle that approach is followed...not for motorbike
yeah dont have to
i never remove the wheel unless the tube needs replacement
Thank you for making this video. Appreciate it.
william satish thanks Satish
Good ...simple honest and relevant not like other promoters bla bla....thank you very much....best
Thanks and welcome.
i use roughly the same process at my motorcycle repair & shop
sand paper, 2 wrenches, patch
watching from nairobi, kenya

Thank you for teaching this, I really appreciate it. Please make more videos about fixing bikes. How about servicing your own bike?
Sure brother
Very informative video thanks, do you have a video for repairing puncture on himalyan rear tyre as well?
such an informative video, pure DIY
Thanks Rob
How did he wind up with punctures on the inner surface of the tube?
Thankyou for making this video. Appreciate your help.
Can you recommend a good tyre inflator. Which can be carried along at rides. Suitable for Himalayan 411 please ?
amzn.to/3yKWROK I have been using this for over 5 years now
Thumbs up for your language and clarity ✌😊
Hey ben
I am facing lot of issue from swing arm side ..lot of cracking noises
Each time i take to service centre they just Grease them and return but the problem starts again within a week ..i ve changed the swing arm bushes once too ..Any solution.?.
Its just 6 month old vehicle
You need to change bearings
Great video!
Thank you for making this video; It's encouraging.
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you for this! Very informative and clear. A small followup: Have you connected the resqtec inflator to your bike battery? and is there a mobile mount you can recommend which is reliable for this?
yes i have connected the resqtec connector to the battery . i have it sticking out from the side cover on the battery side. also i use a chinese x grip mobile mount , you will find plenty on amazon.
hey Ben good after noon brother, Im planning a ride from Pune to Leh next month, please tell me what things I should carry in terms of tools. I want to go as light as possible.
Any suggestion on how to get a little distance on a punctured tire? I prefer not trying to remove a tire on the side of the road even with a repair kit and tools.
I use the "Plug & Go" mushroom shaped rubber plugs for tubeless motorcycle tires. Never had an issue with them. All done without removing the tire / rim from the motorcycle.
They are not the cheapest.
is it required to open disk to open the tyre??
Sir i think converting it to tubeless by sealing each spoke wud be a better idea... because fixing tube is lengthy and has lots of hassles..
Excellent video! Could you make a video regarding tools needed to carry around!
Athul B yes I already have made two parts for tools ua-cam.com/video/kjf4g-zQjns/v-deo.html
Hello Ben, from where could we get the jack that u have used...pls do reply

thanks for the kind acknowledgement dear friend. glad that my videos help. go for a timsun ts 822 . fantastic all round tyre.
Hey! Ben, I did this to my rear wheel. I noticed that the wheel is wobbling a bit, do you know what might have gone wrong?
A lot of things could have gone wrong , take it to a mech . Too long a list for me to explain . Start with checking your tyre bead , then wheel alignment
Is your problem solved
Is it really required to remove the tire ?
Tube repair is fine. What about the hole in the tyre caused by the screw?
Carry an extra tube
Good DIY video bro superb, all rider will get confidence on this
Glad to hear that
have you ever been to jamshedpur?
Awesome work....
Does the Tyre inflator machine work on the battery on the bike??
Please share the link if you have...
amzn.to/3li49At
Which repair kit is that?
Get used card board box, of good brand products packaging from your favourite Supermarket.
Use that as a floor mat for your work on the bike.
Professional Boric Powder for Carrom Board, 200 GMS
For inside of Tyre body.
great video plus explanation
glad it helped.
How many can you travel after this puncher repair
What is the pump you are using, Can I get a link to that. Not a bug fan of battery operated pumps (Think your pump is powered by your motorcycle)
amzn.to/3lyJDhg
What is size of those 2 lever ? 12 inch ?
What is the wrench size to open front Axel nut ?
Hi Ben, which tube do u use in both the tyres of Himalayan
It’s a local Indian band called dolphin (heavy duty tubes )
@ONTWOWHEELSBEN bro my bike got 3 puncher's last week now it is moveing fine but i need to go to long ride is it ok or should I need to replacement
Where did you buy the tools??
amazing video.. thanks for the detailed video.. much needed for beginners
Glad it was helpful!
@@ONTWOWHEELSBEN As always Ben, it's very helpful, all your videos on the RE Himalayan are very helpful in showing how it is done. Please keep posting on all the maintenance jobs you are doing on the RE Himalayan. Thank you.
Did no one observed that the front is installed in wrong way? The groove pattern should be pointing forward and not backward.. as is installed🤷♂️
explain more, i dont get it
some threads are reversed like zapper it looks reverse but should check the arrow mark
Hi Ben. What are your thoughts on puncture prevention gels (such as Formula X, Slime etc)? I am concerned whether the added weight to the tires could affect performance or wheel balance.
Nothing works on a bike with pillion ( 50+ kilos on the rear wheel ) . Even outex will not work . I was a dealer of Slime once and even slime can’t cope with added load . The best thing to do is LEARN how to fix a puncture calmly without complaining. ALWAYS take the tools with you .
Nicely done, made a video for the rear one ??
Not yet . Will do
Can we do the same thing for the rear tyre???
yes, ofcourse
@@ONTWOWHEELSBEN I have seen people remove something which is connected to brakes and then remove the rear tyre
I wanted to ask one thing, If we are on highway and somehow don't know how to do this but we do have a Tyre inflator with us. Is it possible to fill in the air and ride to a puncture repair shop?
if the nail is still in the tyre and if and only if its a prick and not a tear in your tube , you can get away with just filling in air with the compressor .
Is it 16 or 18 inch tyre lever ?
16 but 18 is better
@@ONTWOWHEELSBEN ok. And what is the wrench size to open front and rear wheel axel nut ?
Thank u so much for this informative video.
Dhruva TV happy to share friend
Such an helpful video. Thank you for that .
I just want to know that , how much did those two tyre opener cost you ?
subhasmruti sahoo 200 rs
Hello sir, Can you mention the tools which you’ve used to fix this. I am new in these things i want to learn.
pls approach a puncture shop and ask them the same question. they will be able to guide you better. online is not the right place .
The background music and you scrubbing the tube with sand paper and at a same time wiping with hand .. sounds dope 😁
ankur gupta wow 😁that’s some serious observation skills Friend. 😊
@@ONTWOWHEELSBEN 🤣🤣🤣🤣 thanks mate 👍
Tubeless tires rule!
What was the rubber seal inside your rim? Looked like outex to me. Would be nice to know it's purpose
It’s called a Rimtape
My mind literally blew out.... I have so many questions
Really helpful!
How did you get 2 punctures on the inside of the tube? I guess there is something sharp on the rim or rim tape has moved out of place.
Indian Mechanic the rim tape was torn and the spoke nipples punched a hole ( from an older puncture fix )
The tyre lever thing's design should be revisited it damaging the rims paint, don't be scared removing the front tyer without a jack it will not fall.
We could use a big stone or brick too
Thank you Ben!! Helps a lot
anytime brother.
can you please share a link to the patch you used and the glue too...
Got these from a local tyre sales and repair shop
Wut do u do about rim scratches
i paint over it.
@@ONTWOWHEELSBEN o ok cool I only got 3 small scratches so I’m supper happy about that… I used an old t shirt to try help not scratch em 🙌
hey, great video. which tool did you use to let the air out? any type of screw driver?
its a valve removal tool.
Bro can you tell me which brand are those patches and adhesive are of ?
Patches from tyre and tube shop. Generic ones . Non branded . Adhesive plenty of types and brand . Buy the more expensive ones just to be doubly sure .
Any way to fix it without removing tyres?
Yes , experts can do it while it’s on the machine .
Could you list the names of the glue and adhesive you used for the tube?
Is the stock tool kit provided by the company is sufficient else have to buy different tools if so what is the size of the wrench you used ?
Pavan Thanguturu pls go to the nearest spare parts/ tools shop for the tire levers . For the glue and the button stickers pls ask in cycle repair / parts store .
Can the seat height of himalayan be reduced by switching to smaller tyres if so plz make a video and suggest
Daniel Rai seat height can be reduced by sciving a small layer of your stock seat foam . Changing to a smaller dia front wheel will reduce the off-road prowess of the bike . On road ride will be unaffected.
@@ONTWOWHEELSBEN thank you very much
That punture proof liquid will come is that useful
no , doesnt help when the bike is loaded (120 kgs or more)
Can you pls suggest where can i buy the tyre removing livers
any auto spare parts shop or tools shop should have it
@@ONTWOWHEELSBEN thanks bro 👍
if air is escaping from rim side and not from contact patch side, please check for the rust and loose spokes. before re installing the tube.
yes, it was because of two rusting spoke nipples. didnt talk about that in this video.
Ben sir...! Namaskaram..!
I stumbled upon this video.. N i didn't see the channel name..! I heard narration voice and felt familiar..! Then i checked the channel name hehe..! Sukhamano..!?
Sire i need a suggestion..! Which USB powered air compressor u would suggest..! Cz i have faced flat tyre on my trail rides..n i carry a Manual hand pump...for emergency..!n u know... it's exhausting on a summer trail and middle of nowhere hehe! So a portable air compressor..
Yes the best one there is FOR THE PRICE is Resqtec

While purchasing second hand Himalayan what to check in the motorcycle?
Yash Vichare pls don’t buy a BS3 . If you plan on buying a BS4 there are still a lot of factors to consider . I will make a video on the same in 10 days time .

very useful ❤️❤️❤️
Whats name of that pump

While removing the tyre from the wheel, doesn't it spoil the paint of the wheel itself? If so how to avoid it from happening?
Dhruva TV avoiding 100% is impossible. You will chip some paint off which can later be touched with a small coat of primer and paint . Very easy job . Will make a video on the same too .
Use other side of anabond paste to spread the bond brother (in this case your hand will not become sticky)
sure friend. thank you
Considering all the customisation u have done.. Any reasons you haven't used something like "Formula X - Gel Based Tyre Puncture Sealant" ? .. If you have used it, your review on it pls.. Have subscribed to your channel.. Looking forward to more quality content on the Himalayan.
i have used SEELIN on my rear tube and it turned out to be a failure so never wanted to go in for another similar product. also the floating mass inside the tubes are a matter of serious consideration before you decide to use these products . they 100% will affect your wheels balance . i could risk it with the rear but def not the front (considering OFF Road terrain )
@@ONTWOWHEELSBEN .. Thanks for the feedback.. Theres a video by "Bulu Biker", who seems very much into adventure biking.. There the Formula X team claim that the gel will not affect the driving experience, once the stuff settles in.. Am looking around for unbiased opinion on it.
ua-cam.com/video/zjYEZZ50rI4/v-deo.html
DEV ASHISH SINGH i just saw the video . I am sure it is a better concoction than seelin and that it can seal better but rolling inertia of the wheel will 100% get affected after this . No liquid or solid will coat evenly while in motion at variable speeds .
@@ONTWOWHEELSBEN Thanks again, Ben! Looking forward to more quality content from your channel. As a suggestion-request for a future video.. Pillion rider experience (and advice, customisations) on long adventures, all with luggage (Hard vs soft panniers etc., for pillion comfort).. Thanks!!

How long we shall wait for the glue to get sticked ?
1 minute is more than sufficient
Why have a moto jack when you have a centre stand

Any tyre sales shop will have it
Front one is not that difficult......it's the rear which is an issue
Thank you

Useful video bro 👍👍👍
Ben Formula X is good for Himalayan
in my experience with SEELIN , i have found that these gels dont work under heavy load i.e if the bike is loaded upwards of 120 kilos .

Can we have tubeless tyres with spokes
Alok Singh outex tubeless conversion kit is the only reliable option
@@ONTWOWHEELSBEN sir I have searched for installation of outex on Himalayan but I get installation on Honda Africa Twin , in that vedio the UA-camr was saying that Himalayan rims gets rusty and outex fails on it.
@@aloksingh7196 yes he is right. himalayan rims are not of the best quality but outex ought to work for atleast 15-20000 kilometers before any damage.

yes , totally agree about all the wrestling going on with removing the tyre. but this was more of a video to inspire fellows in india to develop the will to do it themselves. And thanks for sharing the tip . i loved the way Bruce removed the tyre from the rim.
