I love them. But see too many in urban areas with painful, crippled feet. Because of our waste, cotton etc. I wish there was a wise, honest team of humans who go around and carefully help with pigeon chiropody. Bless them ❤❤❤
There's a group called Stringfoot Pigeons that actually does run a website and Facebook group dedicated to teaching people how to help pigeons that have string or hair stuck/wrapped around their toes, as well as documenting flocks of pigeons that stay in one specific spot that may need their help!! They're based in San Francisco so their flock maps and stuff primarily center around that area, but their advice and resources could work for pretty much any location

I never knew they are al least 3 times bigger than doves. Beautiful pair. Have not seen them again.They got scared I was trying to take a picture.😳
Pigeons nest in groups naturally (and have whistling feathers for this purpose, it’s why doves make noises when they fly) so I’m sure there’s an instinct to
