  • Jesus was offered wine mixed with myrrh, but He refused to drink it. Here I will explore why. The more interesting question, though, isn’t, “Why did he refuse to drink the cup offered”, but, “What cup did He accept?” He drank your poison for you.
For the rest of the story, go to Matthew 27:27-54 “Truly this was the Son of God!” at rumble.com/veu....

I would challenge your version of why Jesus would not partake of the cup at the cross. Hours before in the upper room during the Passover, Jesus and His disciples left the Paschal meal unfinished. They did partake of the 3rd cup (cup of blessing) and then after a hymn, they left. We know that at Passover, 4 cups of wine are drank, so what happened?
Jesus refused the 'sour wine' at the cross until the moment of His death, where He said, "I thirst" and after drinking the sour wine, stated "It is finished".
So, what is finished? We know that at the upper room, they left the Passover unfinished as the 4th cup was not consumed. Christ's proclaiming "it is finished" after drinking the sour wine (4th cup) is in reference to His own Paschal sacrifice. As Jesus is the lamb of God, has finished His paschal sacrifice when he drank of the sour wine and gives up His spirit.
