Thank you this helped a lot, my Great Dane puppy saw me get bit by another large dog in the neighborhood and had been aggressive towards every dog in the neighborhood since.

Thank you for making these videos. I’m planning on getting a Great Dane in the future but first I’m learning as much information about them and training. Thank you again, these videos and the puppy training course is helping me so much.

My Great Dane, is aggressive towards people not other dogs. Is there a video for that? Or can there be?

My Dane was attacked by two Pitbulls earlier this week. Since then he is highly reactive to other dogs. I will certainly be following this advice. Is there anything further advice you could give for this

My Great Dane doesn’t like other people. My kids friends have to run if he’s out accidentally. It’s awful. Trying to fix this since kids will be in and out all summer.

How would you address fear based aggression to owner? I have a great dane mix and unfortunately, he's gotten a bit aggressive with my toddler when my 2 year old fails his arms because he's scared of the dog mouthing. I would say no or walk away or wave my finger at him and now he tries to snap back and he's starting to nip harder, leaving marks. He's almost 4 months old. When I say no he "talks back" and talking back is now turned to nipping hard. His hair gets raised, too which is why I suspect fear based aggression.

My Dane jumps my other female shepherd rot mix whenever I'm around thr two of them. I also can't let all 4 out together. I have to let the 3 first. Then the Dane. They play all day with each other and are fine coming back in together, just not being let out together because she jumps my mix. All are sterilized and are fine. Unless I'm there. She's a year old and she and her brother were dogs I used to sit a couple days a week. After not seeing them for a month they were left on my porch and I received a text that they were no longer wanted. They were about 4 going on 5 months old.

Watching now ! I adopted a 4 month old Great Dane pup 3 days ago. I’ve owned a Great Dane in the past who never had any aggression at all. But this one keeps snapping at my Boston terrier when he is just laying down with me. 😩

What would you do if your Dane mix was great at the dog park and would play with other dogs started to be aggressive after a break from the park?

I adopted a rescue taken in as a stray. Hes 10 months old. Still puppy. He is intimidating and slightly growling to my resident dog. . How can I have them get along? My other dog has always gotten along with other dogs but is intimidated by his size and jumping. I'm working on sit and leave it. What else can I do for now. We have them gate separated until he learns more constantly

I was looking at your links and I am not sure which one I would need to consider. I have 2 Great Dane's. One is very laid back and listens very well and the other one is like training a brick. My main concern with my 2.5 year old male adolescent he lunges at children and when they go into a screaming fit he freaks out. He gets very excited and starts to nip.
These are not your average kids they are kids of trauma or high needs. Most of the time he is fine with them but if they run, remote control cars, or a major melt down he looses it. My other dog will lift her head look around and go back to sleep. But Sebastian doesn't do well with the meltdowns and I am on the fence about finding him a calmer home. I don't want to do this. He is so hard to work with. I am not a person that gives up. I am really worried that he is going to hurt someone.
The remote controlled cars I am leaving them lay around and if I activate one and he stays put he gets a pice of chicken. When he is on his dog bed and a kid runs past to use the bathroom he will lunge at them. Most of the time I can get him to stop with a sound but sometimes he is to focused on them.
I am not sure where I need to start.

Hey Eloise, thanks for watching and reaching out! It might be worth checking out our free Principles of Canine Behaviour on our website. This will give you a good oversight of what our Boot Camp course offers which could be the best course for your aged dog.
However, we always recommend if you have a serious behaviour concern about your dog it's best to look for a local trainer that is able to see the behaviour in person and give tailored advice.
For more information about our courses, head to our website: www.fenrirdogtraining.com/courses

Should I stop wrestling with my Great Dane??? I play with him a lot. He doesn't have aggression issues when I walk him because I feel confident walking him and he knows I'm the boss. However.... he is very aggressive when my girlfriend walks him and he wants to wrestle with people. He's aggressive towards other dogs. My girlfriend doesn't trust him and can't physically handle him when he's being aggressive. Am I causing this behavior by wrestling with the dog?
