Long time viewer. While I don't necessarily need a "climb up " on the roof, I would like to see more info on the roof ...such as solar, wifi, roof type etc.
We lucked out and purchased ($93K) a 2021 Esteem 29V 3 years ago (msrp was $140K). It was our first rv and we loved it. It is the best designed Class C out there. We just traded our Esteem in for a 2024 Entegra Vision XL 36C. My dislikes for this Esteem: low ccc (ours was 1450), tv viewing position, no pantry, no tv in bedroom, the accordian door to bedroom, MSRP.. Likes: full use with slides in (one reason we almost kept it), kitchen cabinet storage (better than our new class A, but we now have a huge residential fridge with iced maker), theater seats, window above cab, and partial paint. Highly recommend this rig for those buying a class C.
The 1st thing I like about this RV is you have access to the entire RV with the slides in. The 2nd thing I like about this RV is the layout. The 3rd thing I like is all the storage outside. and inside. Now, what I do not like? The 1st thing I did not like is there are no day shades. that's a must. The 2nd thing I do not like are the theater seats. It should be a Couch. The 3rd thing I Did not like What's the TV location and the small size?
Hi Matt & Andrea, I like your review. You're right ... The plumbing connectors needed to be enclosed and not easily accessible to the public. That's a big dislike for me, too. Second dislike is TV location in the bunk area. That TV should be directly across the chairs in the salon. They could have made it stored on the ceiling and drop down from the ceiling. Thirdly, change the door of the bedroom from an accordion door to a wood door that slides across. Everything else is fine and lovely. ❤❤❤ Enjoy your evening.
Hi Matt and Andrea! My likes are the shower and bathroom, the refrigerator, the bedroom. My dislikes are the plumbing outside not enclosed, the tv size and no pantry. Other than that it’s a great Rv. Love Entegra! Thank you Matt and Andrea!
Matt I love your reviews and love this RV but why are they still using the schewintec slide system? I read on internet about many many people having issues with this slide system😢. I was told the number one issues with RVs right now are the slide system so why are they not changing to a better system?
Ok guys… you do a really awesome informative review!!! I love how you covered all the important stuff!!! I have some more questions about the product though… How do you deal with this, during the day for example… if I needed to leave my dogs inside while taking a meeting for 3 hours, or even 10 hours… how would this product respond to that scenario??? How many gallons is the generator, how long will the diesel last? Is it okay to have this vehicle totally off the grid and running AC and or heat for 48 hours without refueling???!!! That’s the most important thing I want to know! Can this vehicle totally perform by itself with its fuel capacity for more than 24 hours without needing to be plugged in or refueled???
Hi Matt and Andrea, love your content and really like the 29V Esteem’s. However there is one thing I am curious about. If you bring all slides in, then put a 6’4” person in the drivers seat, how can they drive. I test drove an Esteem and could not put the drivers seat back far enough to be able to drive safely. I am not sure why they do not address this somehow. I stuck with Entegra, but because of this issue with the E450 cutaway with a full wall slide I may have to go with a different product. Thanks so much for all the great effort you put into your videos!
I hope someone sees this! Esteem vs Odyssey? Which? And or Greyhawk? (and any specific years?) Any advice would be appreciated, I'm looking to buy this year!
Love the videos. One request, could you please show the batterie(s) and speak to the electrical system a bit such as: is there an inverter (what size)? Almost all RVs come with electrical systems that are only useful when plugged into shore power. I am rarely plugged in, so I like to add multiple LIFePO4 batteries and a 2500W+ inverter/converter unit, so it's important to me if there is room for that where the batteries are, or do I have to relocate? I'm a travel trailer guy just starting to research Class Cs- do Class Cs ever have an aftermarket DC to DC charger to allow fast charging from the motor alternator to the house batteries? What happened to the roof shots? I gotta see the solar panel possibilities!
Great RV for those who travel with a cat. Put a cat flap door on the back side of the bed base so the little beast can get into that underbed cubby with the outside access door and you have a perfect place for their litter box! Keep the smell out of the RV!
House batterie(s) are probably under the steps where you enter the RV. RVs generally come with very little battery capacity. This Class C, like most, come with an on board generator to supply your power needs when you're not plugged into shore power. If you want a good electrical system with solar, ample battery bank and an inverter/converter, you can expect to spend about $5-10K (depending what you want) to have a shop do that install for you.
How do you know it’s worth the price? Do you own one? I’m genuinely curious about someone who has actual experience with this RV rather than just listening to Matt, who is just an RV salesman. Have you had a good experience?
@@scottmichaels12i have this motor home and yes, I always want it cheaper but getting a 38% discount made it an easy decision. Mush better choice for us than our previous class A Entegra Emble.
I actually like this. If LTV would make something like this I’d gladly pay for it. I didn’t care for the exposed outside or the tv though. And there’s no room for a pantry or washer/dryer combo unless you use a closet. The gray interior needs a revamp. It’s too drab. But I guess if you decorate how you want it wouldn’t matter. Loved how big the shower and bathroom are. Didn’t like the step up though. I’d rather the bed be n/s than e/w as well and add a sliding door instead of that accordion
Went to an RV dealership just before thanksgiving to view a 2024 Entegra Esteem 31f. I appreciate Matt’s reviews and was always impressed with the Entegra brand. Unfortunately, the reality was far different from what I saw in Matt’s videos. Some of the issues we noticed: (1) the kitchen cabinet hit the faucet when you opened it (the faucet has to be moved all the way to the right to open the cabinet. (2) The privacy curtains on the bunk bed were hung with very sharp screws that protruded into the bunk. (3) Privacy curtain rods were loose and would probably fall after minimal use (4) the window seal on the lower bunk leaked and the lower bunk was wet (we wouldn’t have noticed this except their had been a recent storm) (5) piano hinges were missing on the storage under the dinette, and the lid was screwed down and could not be lifted to access the storage. (6) plastic facia on the window in the overhead cab did not fit correctly 2 inch gap on the right side 4 ½ inch gap on the left side. These were issues we found with just a quick look. Hard to imagine what would have been found by a qualified RV inspector. I heard RV build quality suffered during the pandemic, but not sure how long that excuse can be used.
Been doing research for a couple of years since I've been saving up to get either a towable or motorhome but the more I look into the RV industry as a whole has poor workmanship and quality control. In my opinion there needs to be some sort of governing code that needs to be standardized across the RV industry. The same way there are home building codes there should be something similar for RV standards. The RVIA alone isn't doing enough and manufacturers are left for themselves to do what they want to include overbuilding on Lippert frames leading to frame flex. I just think the whole RV industry is broken and customer service is poor from what I've been seeing. Unfortunately this is what's holding me back. I sure hope things change and there are a couple of UA-camrs out there trying to make a change and hats off to them...and the whole pandemic excuse I don't think a saw a decline of craftsmanship in the auto and home building industry during and post pandemic, just lower volume but not lower quality so I don't buy it from the RV manufacturers. They took short cuts just to make sales hence the need for RV codes.
Very few of these have a space for a large TV. As a gamer it feels like none of these are setup in a way that would work for me. If I'm shelling out this kind of cash I should be able to set up at least a 50in TV somewhere in one of these.
I love the fiberglass roof👍but the horrible “Class C” TV position and “come watch me shower in the hallway” which also cuts off access to the bedroom was once again disappointing😢
I don’t understand these floor plans. I hate east west beds on a side. I have the best floor plan of any rv Iv seen. I have a north south bed that is stationary with good walk around room. I make the bed and it stays that way
Dont like the accordian door to the bedroom, give me a sliding door. Really dislike the TV location-should never be in the overhead bunk. Put a televator in the counter. Love the space with the slides in. Love the large shower. Love the double windows behind the seating and dining table
I love the floor plan but there is no way I could see buying an rv with such a low CCC. They should just make the floor plan without the big slide(I'd drop both and go north/south), it does absolutely nothing for the floor plan. that should free up 700-800lbs.
Wow! I LOVE this floor plan from Entegra. But the inside looks like I stepped back into a 90s dentist office. Ugh! Then to visit entegras site and to find out that's the ONLY interior design option is highly disappointing. I'd have to put too much work into a different design it wouldn't be worth buying a 2024. Way too many conflicting lines from the valances, to the walls, to the tiles, to the dinette table to the kitchen counters. Couple that with dark cabinets makes it look/feel cave-like. NOPE
It's amazing how the MSRP is rising every year by 20k. 2022 was 140k. 2023 was 160k and now it's 180k. The value of the rv is dropping dramatically when you get out of the dealership. Cargo carrying capacity is so low. 2 ppl, loaded refrigerator your new mattress (because the one that comes with the rv is unusable) and the storage full. you want be able to drive this rv whiteout being overloaded. Beautiful rv but not practical.
I don't get the no daytime shades. Just odd. Also, when the cabinets are closed you can literally hear the cheapness. Otherwise, Entegra seems to have a great RV here.
29v but 32.5 ft long, not good for National Parks. Not sure why Jaco did this with most of their best class C floor plans. The Red Hawk version of this is the XK which is actually much better storage wise but less premium features.
Propane stove and a 12V fridge?! 🤷🏼♀️ disappointed no day shades. Amount of Basement storage stinks as does CCC. Accordion door 🤦🏼♀️ I would do a single bowl sink in kitchen. Don’t care for two small sink. I wouldn’t pay what they’re asking unless had day shades, induction cook top. 30Amp with two a/c ? Weird
Obviously the aim is to keep the price as low as possible and in doing so they have neglected many items that people want when camping. Outdoor plugs & plumbing without covers is unacceptable. Everything looks cheap and basic especially the lack of pantry storage. They’ve gone too far in my opinion and lost the plot 🙄
