Hey everyone welcome back to another video! Today I am super excited we are taking a look at this AWESOME Class C Motorhome from Coachmen! This is the Leprechaun 298kb... This motorhome is amazing and great for fulltime living! What I love about this RV is that it gives you a washer dryer!
Overall, one of the nicest Class C floorplans that I have seen, blowing away every single Class C with a horrendous overhead bunk TV position, a radius shower, a plastic toilet, no laundry hookups and a cheap jackknife sofa👍
y'all are right, it's just too dark in there. I don't like that dark wood color either. That washer and dryer connect is a big plus to me!
Hello Matt! Back in 2020 you and Andrea reviewed the Coachmen Freelancer 29KB (same RV). You must have been having an off day as you both were very unimpressed. We watched that review and were taken aback by your muted reaction to something that seemed so feature laden for a Class C as we watched. We bought one and never looked back. It checked more boxes than a lot of bigger Class As we looked at. As for "prime pooping position", I quickly determined that the toilet could be rotated CCW a little and greatly improve the situation on the right (review this video and you will see your left leg has room to move to the left without touching anything, earning the toilet the coveted PPP). Coachmen should fix that! I'm surprised you didn't mention that the coach comes with 2 furnaces. Very handy to maximize everyone's comfort when one person retires before the other in winter. Having both slides on the driver's side also makes for a huge amount of room under the awning. We have yet to find any other Class C RV plan that accomplishes so much. Thanks for your continuing hard work bringing us all these reviews (even though I may take exception to this one!). Gary.
I had to thumbs up ya. I bought my third class C two years ago brand new after I retired. I’m impressed with this coach and said they couldn’t fit a combo washer dryer in my 2021 gulfstream conquest 6320. 32 feet of coach and bumper to bumper 34 feet. It’s nice but a tank. You made a good move. Plus I did all the suspension upgrades and it is a world of difference. It wallowed bad. Had I seen and knew of this leprechaun then with the floor plan I’d have snatched it up.👍
What is CCW? I only know it as concealed carry and I know *that’s* not it.

It is the regular size C of that Van C with Combo...put a backsplash all the way up around the stove, figure out a special bedding mattress with your BB sponsor company when they have to split with comfort and reinforcement in middle, reinforce the handles and just LOVE it...everything for a C is just great. You have such a nice roll and cake and cookie and little pot roast oven..I still make them Matt..lol. Cozy fall camping.
I really like this floor plan. I love the tv placement. I just knew it was going to be in a bad spot and it wasn’t. Strangely, I like the dinette. I normally don’t like u-shaped dinettes but this one works. Probably because it didn’t affect the TV placement and you can still recline the passenger seat. One of us can take a Zoom call with their back facing the interior of the motorhome.
I like the size of the shower, the storage, and bed size.
I’m not a fan of the fold in the bed. It looks like it would be right in the middle of my back and I have a bad back. The ones that are higher or lower would work. Again, I’m not sure of the placement of the fold but it looked like it could be in a bad place.
The quality of materials, mainly the wood, looks a little concerning. I thought that before the handle broke and it surprised me when Andrea said it was a higher level motor home. And I agree with her regarding the shades.
Washer/dryer combo, is awesome in a class C. I love the size of class C, but holdings tanks are very small, in my opinion.
OMG, Andria face when she pulled that drawer open and the handle came off, priceless. I am LMAO, lol.
Nice to see you visit Wixom on occasion. Glad to see this 2023 video to contrast it with the 2021 video. I'm buying a used 2021 298KB and although there are some improvements, the dark and grey color scheme is a huge turn off in the 2023. Picking mine up next Thursday, 4/25, at General RV Wixom. I'll be stocking up on your Liquify products!

Love this floor plan in this 30ft. The separation between the bedroom and living area is amazing! My husband and I are on different schedules, so some separation is great! Only real dislike is the bathroom door. 10 stars on everything else.
Hey so the washer dryer in a class C .. I’ve seen 2 Matt’s reviews of that before .. the Thor KW 29 has a stackable (u did that one about 5 months ago and u did a quick tour at a show I think last year) .. the Coachmen Leprechaun 311FS has a combo in the bathroom, and an even bigger closet than this one (u did that one a year ago) .. having said all that .. this unit has a really cool floorplan and a better price point than either of those .. great review, thanks M/A

Fulltime in a Class C, no way unless you are a single person. The alternative to Azdel is no backer, thicker fiberglass which several manufactures use. The back wall closet is nice. Hey Newmar uses that bathroom door.

Hi Matt and Andrea! My likes are the combo washer dryer and the kitchen and the dinette the fact the passenger chair can swivel with the dinette there. My dislikes are the door to the bathroom and the shades. Other than that it’s a great Coachmen. Thank you Matt and Andrea!

Hello our suggestion for the bobble heads is hide them in any upcoming review videos inside the unit.. When customers go to Hershey PA, they will have to tell you where they were hidden in the videos.

O.K. Matt you don't like the foldable mattress, but perhaps a roll up mattress might solve that. I love the washer dryer feature. I have this RV high on my wish list, just have to figure out a pros and cons list as far as the lifestyle logistics. Thanks for the great review!
Likey: kitchen layout, interesting layout, L shaped dinette Dislikey: weird layout for bedroom not as open to the rest of motor home but some might like that.
We've come to like the side hallway design as opposed to the conventional "shotgun" layout. We think it give a little more feeling of separation when one person goes to bed before the other.
I think you should give them to people that purchase your merchandise. Make it a lottery system, like they do for giveaways. Plus you can give some giveaways on people that make an comment and you can do an # tag. Can do it both ways.

My likes 1 I like the Jay Shape Lounge Access to the entire RV when the sides are in.2 i like the Kitchen lay out.3 i like the floor plan. Now for my dislikes.1 The bathroom door. I do not like.2 the window blinds. I do not like.3 The tv location.

Love the colours! Why is it so dark in there? Doesn’t look like sun was shining tho. I do dislike the so called trim around the kitchen counter. Needs to be higher. Is this State Park approved?
I have found over the decades that state parks will never get out the tape if there is a model number stuck on next to the door. "Hey! It's a 29 footer!" I suspect that's sort of a scam the manufacturers came up with to sell a few more slightly oversize RVs.
I know that you are not a big fan of Bunk beds,but can you tell me some of the better models that feature bunk beds.

Was that first outside storage compartment standing full of water? Also looked like living room slide out doesn’t close up tight. This isn’t the first coachmen class c with w/d. They had a 31 something back in 2018 with w/d. Final complaint. I had a leprechaun with the J/U dinette and when making it into a bed, there were so many little cushions to piec together, they were always sliding apart during the night making for a bad nights sleep

@@joellepatry493 and that folding mattress in bedroom was horrible in my 2018 leprechaun. Hard as a rock. I had to add a 4 inch mem foam to make it usable Hope they changed it.
Will you be getting a chance to look at the new Jayco Melbourne prestige 24N? I'm looking to get one of these to travel with wife and two little kids for a while and this is the only b+ that fits us all and gives us a separate space with no slide outs.
Coachman leprechaun I'd like to first mention is my favorite RV, it's my first choice above all else & all others, that said this leprechaun is a absolute massive !!!POS!!!
I'm gonna have a long list of things not to like about this one; it's gonna be hard to find even one thing I like about it!!!
Things that I don't like. I'd also like to add I had more things I didn't like about this RV but I didn't want this list to be too long this is the edited down version
1. every coachman I've seen up until this one has had great storage in the rear this This leprechaun has almost none and what it does have is scattered throughout the entire outside of the RV which doesn't make up for the large storage space at all!!!
2. You have to put out the slides just to access the stove an oven this thing is not meant for boondocking.
3. You have to put the slide out out to access the bed you can't use it while it's in just like you can't use the stove top worthless!!!
4. Instead of having a proper U shape dinette they have a crappy L shape that's only acceptable if it doesn't have sliders.
5. 151,000 MSRP I laughed when you said that this is so not worth it, what's the sale price of 110,000 and some change, when i say it's laughable I mean it I'm laughing right now there's never been something funnier you've said, that any idiot is dumb enough to spend $110,000 on this they should get their head checked out, because we know they're crazy so not worth it in the extreme!
6. Then we have what's left of the kitchen, it's a S**T show for sure, There cannot be a worse place to put the kitchen than in the center of the RV, i've never seen it done well, and the leprechaun isn't the first to pull it off nowhere close.
7. It has to have a washer dryer or can have a washer and dryer, and I swear they had a maneuver all everything in the RV just to have that washer and dryer I cannot stress this enough what a complete and total waste as well as being massively overpriced so you have the possibility of having a washer and a dryer this is a bad joke.
8. That bathroom door is guessing gonna get stuck it's gonna be one of the first things to break on this RV I've never seen that kind of door in the class CRV and I don't think I've ever seen in any RV before that I can remember and I consider that a good thing not a good thing that this RV has it just I haven't seen it before and I hope I don't see it again.
Now I have to find three things I do like and that's an uphill battle.
1. I like the color scheme I thought it was well chosen and I it created separation in what little separation you have.
2. The small table that goes in the middle between the driver and the passenger seat that was nice.
3. It hasn't all little nook for your shoes that was interesting.
I watched your video three times, to try to find three things I could say they were positive or good or I liked about this RV, I love leprechauns this was a massive a truly massive and overwhelming disappointment, I'm glad this wasn't the first leprechaun I've ever seen I think it would have changed my opinion of the company forever in a negative way if this was the first one I saw thank God it wasn't. Just to give a little perspective it doesn't even compare in the level of utility or quality compared to also I didn't wanna name the past seven or eight years of leprechauns that were better than this so I only used two both Matt has covered before.

you know what both of these have actual storage in the rear.
Matt I like all of your videos there's not a video you've made but I haven't liked, it wasn't your presentation of the video it was the RV itself, and the sad part is i've been waiting for you to show a new leprechaun, I'm willing to bet this is gonna be the worst leprechaun sales in a long time I've never seen another leprechaun that's this bad even the 2015 and 217 models weren't this bad with that odd weird U-shaped dinette the old style if you know what I'm talking about. I would have preferred one of those over this, as this RV is a hot mess.

I really enjoy this floor plan. However, the decor colors not so much. Way too dark! Yet I also like that 2 people can sleep comfortably with the slides in case of an overnight sleep stop heading to your destination.
Lighten it up, right?! I think I want to be an RV designer when I grow up. I think about it way too often to not be getting paid for it!😂
The Coachmen Freelander version has the light cabinetry. Look back at Matt's Reviews for the 2020 model to see it.

I don't like the bathroom door and it is kinda small but it would work, don't really like how dark it is either and the bedroom is kinda small also but I understand that it's a small motorhome. But it is nice other than that. The bobbleheads I think maybe when someone buys a.campet at a show or maybe even a raffle. My wife really likes this model, for the MSRP, not having blackout shades is a real issue. I could have sworn the 2023 model fixed that, but looking through various reviews, I don't see it. I like the Azdel, we have it on our Winnie TT, and the slide cover is nice, I paid extra for our TT. My wife wants the W/D combo so we are kind of stuck with this Class C at 30 feet. I'm concerned with reviews for Coachman compared to Winnebago.
This ISNT the 1st with a washer/dryer...the Coachmen Prism Elite has one, along with a fireplace, & I want it so badly !! If I had the $ I’d be calling you for it, but maybe in a year or 2.🙏🏻💕

Matt, did you say the driver and passenger swivel? If you did, you should show at least one swiveling. That's a big plus for us. Unfortunately, the crappy pleated shades are a deal breaker. Never mine foldingbead are also a dealbreaker.😢

I like this floor plan - except you forgot to show us whether the driver’s seat could recline!
You can get a little recline on it. Not sure how much you need if you are driving!

Hey Matt. Love watching your videos. Whatever you decide to do with the bobbleheads, be careful. When you last requested suggestions, I gave my feedback and was contacted a few days later by someone claiming they were you. I got suspicious when they wanted me to "pay" for the shipment. I asked them a question that any loyal watcher would know and they got it wrong. Let them know I knew it was a scam and haven't been contacted by them since. All that to say people out there are pretending to be you and scamming people. Just be careful!

Not a fan of the cab being white and the other part is tan. Likes: king bed, tv viewing position from theater seating, Dislikes: lack of storage, twisty storage door locks, cheap blinds, no counterspace in small kitchen. Would prefer the storage space over a w/d.

And you really didn't need that big of a sink.......more counter space would have been nice, and for get that stupid extension, otherwise other than that, I could live in this RV!

Nope, there is something wrong with Matt’s bobble head, anyone guess what it is?! Matt, they put the part in your hair on the wrong side of your head!😂 I think those are great by the way! I can always expect to laugh when I watch you guys. But…..I’m really not liking this floor plan.😢I do like the front with the dinette and theater seats 💺, but how they have the kitchen setup and back to the bedroom and bathroom 🚽I don’t like at all. Because there doesn’t seem to be hardly any room in the walkway to the back of the coach , and even the bathroom seems too small. And then there’s the bed, not a fan of the folding bed. But another great video makes up for it Lmao!😂
