I have combo skin and I love their both of the cleanser, and the heartleaf cream. The cream may be a tad too light for me but I did see it help calming down my acne quite well.
Their mugwort mask is honestly a favourite of mine! The licorice and whatever else is in it.... it reduced the appearance of pores like other clay masks, but also subtly brightens. Love this mask. And also, their quinoa cleansing gel smells so damn nice and is my all time favourite gel cleanser. I am dry and dehydrated so I can't use all their products but the ones I do use are really lovely. The creams are good before sunscreen in the AM; by the time us skincare addicts layer our toners and essences and a serum or two....I find that I only need the thinnest tiniest occlusive to lock the hydration steps in. So their moisturiser gels actually work perfectly for me. It's not enough for night or harsh winters obviously. But yeah, as a dry dehydrated skinned person and huge fan of yours Alice, that mugwort mask is an all time favourite and I can't wait to try the gel mask!!!!
Alice, can you do some videos on lip balms and hyperpigmentation. Something like the best products if you have skin pigmentation/ uneven skin tone. And do you have any suggestions for lip pigmentation? Have you tried cosrx aha bha vitc plumping lip mask? It sounds like it could help with the pigmentation to me.
Hmm honestly lip pigmentation isn’t something I’ve thought about much! I’d assume it would have to be very, very gentle though in a topical on the lips. Thanks for the request, I’m jotting it down as I do think that’s a great idea 😃
Great review! This brand is totally new to me. Probably won't run out to pick it up for skintype reasons (I mean once I'm buying again). But my sister might like this brand!
this brand is definitely not for those with sensitive skin but if you are interested in trying new stuff and dont have sensitive skin or trying to treat any skin condition then it is definitely not bad. this brand is quite popular in Asia especially among sout east asians😁
Hi Alice! I have a question about Stylevana - I had never ordered from them before but I placed a black Friday order, then it said it shipped on the 12th, but the tracking number said it still hasn’t received the package, just created the label. Is Stylevana usually that slow? I’m a Yesstyle girl but ordered from them because they had a better deal. It’s been 84 years 👵🏻
^yep, that exactly Going to make an updated video on ordering KB soon, but for now I’ll say: Stylevana has the best prices, but they’re absolutely not the best website to order from if you need your order ASAP!
@@AliceintheRabbitHole OMG my 11/11 order has a backordered item and STILL hasn't shipped! (They have been in contact.) I had to replace Christmas presents. I wish they would've asked me to remove the missing product from the order!
I looked at this brand and said nope not for me way to many ingredients my sensitive skin wouldn't like. I was thinking about trying a new spf do u think the skin 1004 hylucica water fit is the next I should try? I have literally stuck with the Canmake now for a long time and haven't tried anything else. O I did try the Dermtlgy spf but my skin tinted like it and broke out the tinted version it was a no for me and I didn't like how it felt on either . I also tried the BOJ one when it came out and my skin didn't like something in that either. So I am hoping the skin 1004 works sits nice and doesn't feel greasy and heavy, I am the pickiest person when it comes to spf on my face.
Tbh I think most of us are picky with sunscreen! The whole reason I stopped doing those sunscreen videos is because I got sick of how some sunscreens feel on, and just decided to stick with my favs 🤣🤣 But yes skin1004, BoJ, round lab, and canmake are my go-tos
Hi dear, Happy New Year! 💛🌟 I have been watching your videos for so long (thank you for your content!🙏) and was wondering if you still use Amore Pacific or Sulwhasoo from time to time? Or if your opinion has changed since trying other products? Ever since your product reviews on them, I have stayed loyal... they are amazing products! 🙌 Thank you! 🌷
Oh absolutely, but typically minis 😅 I bought the Sulwhasoo minis kit I talked about in last Wednesday’s video from stylevana, and I still use the amorepacific powder cleanser. Love both brands, not rich enough to make them mainstays (🤣) I guess it’s good or my channel would just be me using Sulwhasoo products 3x a week BAHAHA
I am a new subscriber to your channel. I am considering shopping on Stylevana website. However, I came across a few videos on YT stating that Stylevana is a scam … Can you say if this true or not? Please advise… Ty!
Definitely not a scam, I order from them all the time on an email address they don’t know haha. BUT as a heads up: there’s been a lot of drama with shipping over the last couple of months. If you check out my instagram, I just asked for feedback on shipping speeds (all of which will be worked into an updated video) @Aliceintherabbithole 😊
@@AliceintheRabbitHole yes!! this is why I always want to see the texture before I buy something nowadays.. there’s even an aloe vera gel called a gel cream and I’m like no it’s actually just a gel but surprisingly it has a creaminess to it that I don’t fully understand 😲

I really don’t know either 😆 - but if it helps, I do pay it as well. On my last order it was $3 on $50, which feels within the range of “yeah that’s fine” lol!
How fast can I click on this!? I've been waiting ... I have dry/dehydrated skin as well, but it unfortunately reacts to thick moisturizers that have the usual holy trinity of fatty skin constituents. I haven't been able to lock down exactly what it is, but it's why I dread winter for my face: it gets red and irritated because of the dryness but when I try to soothe it with the usual suspects, I get weird "dark spots" that literally come and go in a day: nothing in them, barely raised if at all. In any case, I've started mixing the Heartleaf Calming Cream with Stratia Interface then topping with the Purito Derma Cica sleep mask and that is going well so far. And in the summer, the Heartleaf gel (yes, it's really a gel as you noted) is absolutely perfect. Also, I really like Axis-Y as a brand, but I DESPISE that sunscreen. Truly awful. I couldn't wait to get it off my face.
Whoa interesting, I feel like I’ve only heard good things about the sunscreen! At the end of the day, I’ll go for my Kolmar chemical sunscreens over any mineral sunscreen though 🤣 Thanks for sharing!
Honestly I've completely avoided this brand because James Welsh recommended it around the time he was doing glow recipe sponsorships and telling people to buy their awful sunscreen. I felt all his recs must be bought and thus, be bad. It really just rubbed me the wrong way. They sound fine for beginners, but there's a lot more products that are more dynamic and powerful for more seasoned skin routines.
Ah James was talking about it, I guess that explains the sudden hype (I’m embarrassed by how little time I have to watch other UA-camrs and it IS my New Year’s resolution to find that time!! 😩) But yes agree, it’s a basic brand overall. Worked nicely in conjunction with my actives, but for example the dark spot serum - I just wouldn’t rely on it alone personally
I stopped watching James W also. Felt the same way. Too many sponsored videos plus his skin type is different from mine so his recommendations are not helpful for me.
@@Carol-hx8te he was doing a crazy number of sponsored vids! There's a responsible way to do them but he wasn't doing it right at all! But his whole thing is recommending good skincare, and he's offering brands a chance to buy him off to push theirs, and specifically recommended a bad and expensive product. His viewer base is pretty young so it's even worse imo. He needs to take sponsorships from scentbird or casetify if he wanted a sponsorship on every video. He actually talked through that you shouldn't rub the glow recipe sunscreen on too much! Pat it on. Like if the sunscreen is so finicky that you can't slather it on or layer it, don't push it on your over one million follower base! Honestly that's a huge deal to me, I'm glad I'm seeing the behavior bugged other people enough to unfollow.
UPDATE: I actually really like this product for helping my skin reduce the oiliness and also I definitely noticed lesser breakout throughout the past 3 weeks! Definitely don’t really see much in improving dark spots especially the ones that are super dark/old on the skin, but I saw a difference in my recent breakouts for the dark spots although pretty slow in recovery!
I'm already curious what you will try in part 2! 🙂 I have looked into their products before but since my skin is not stoked about essential oils I've never tried any. Seems like they have a lot of products so it'd be nice if they made a line more for sensitive skin? One can only hope.. lol
