Gotta say, I was shocked that the snail mucin fell so far! You gave a great explanation though. I still love it when my skin barrier is compromised because it feels very soothing, but my bottle is from late 2022 so I can't speak to whether the formula has changed. My views of the cleansers and overnight rice mask are right on par with yours as someone who also has dry skin.
I haven't bought the snail essence recently (I bought my current bottle on a stock up a year ago), but your comments made me concerned because it is one of my very few "holy grail" products that I constantly keep in my daily routine. I've tried alternatives like peach slices and a few others (still want to try Jumiso), but thus far nothing's really done the same job of adding general skincare health, especially at the price. I did some searching and found some old articles with the ingredients list and from what I can see the most recent ingredients deck is the same ingredients as a 2016 upload, just with a different order starting with the 5th ingredient (previously Sodium Polyactrylate, a viscosity controlling ingredient per incidecorder, was at the bottom and it's now the 5th ingredient which could effect consistency). That said, I found uploaded in 2021 with an identical deck to what's currently listed on the Cosrx site though there could be sourcing changes that make a different feel. Guess I'll find out next time I purchase.
I’m very curious to hear your update (whenever you get to it!) because, same. I had stockpiled it as well. I also wonder if something could have happened with the snail mucin sourcing?
I have been using the snail essence for years and my newest bottle is 100% more watery!! This is the first time I've heard anyone talk about it so thank you. It's really disappointing that it's changed 😢
I got the 6 peptide skin booster & it’s like putting water on my face. I was glad she said like toner cuz I thought about doing that. Is it normal for it to be so watery? Thank u 😊
I haven’t watched a video of yours since your June empties and now I’m journeying down the rabbit hole at 2am. 😅 I’ll fall asleep eventually to the sound of your voice talking about skincare😂
Alice! Hi! Omg I laughed so hard when u said the ordinary 😂 peptide booster has become my #1 I’m obsessed! propolis toner takes the booby prize! Cica toner is #3 A lot of Cosrx products though I don’t get along with because of the palm oil. My skin hates that stuff and I break out when it’s high on the inci. Snail mucin was definitely reformulated with the pump change but Cosrx didn’t mention it. Was my holy grail from 2017-2022 sad to say goodbye. Replaced with vegan mucin! Old: Snail Secretion Filtrate, Betaine, Butylene Glycol, 1,2-Hexanediol, Sodium Hyaluronate, Panthenol, Arginine, Allantoin, Ethyl Hexanediol, Sodium Polyacrylate, Carbomer, Phenoxyethanol New: Snail Secretion Filtrate, Betaine, Butylene Glycol, 1,2-Hexanediol, Sodium Polyacrylate, Phenoxyethanol, Sodium Hyaluronate, Allantoin, Ethyl Hexanediol, Carbomer, Panthenol, Arginine 1-6 dominant. They basically changed the concentration levels of the ingredients.
Both of those are such stellar products! Tbh I feel the peptide serum got me to finally do this video, as before that…I think I was feeling a little meh towards them 🤐 it had been a while since a release that really called my name! Thanks so much for sharing!
Oh my. I don't know why beauty industry wants to get the "cruelty-free" stamps on their product. Should I still purchase? The results I got from this is fantastic, they shuffled the formulation and added an ingredient.😢
I personally don’t recommend it to people anymore but if you want to try it, then you should give it a go! I love the Jumiso snail EX essence @@Awesomeboyscout
@@Siberius-they're all there, but concentration of things is changed. Hence them being jumbled. I believe higher concentration of ingredients go from first (highest concentrate) to last (lower). I've never used the old mucin. I purchased it finally during black Friday sales this last November (2023). So I'm assuming it's new formulation. And I'm not sure I care for it. I bought four bottles and have as of now (May 25th) have only used a fourth of one bottle. I feel like it's mattifying. It's got a icky feeling after drying, to me. I'm really confused about the whole product. Do you use it? If so, what do you think about it?
I use and love every product in their propolis line. It’s one of the first K Beauty lines I tried. It’s what convinced me to try others. I use the toner every morning, the cream every night, the ampoule every Sunday (my “spa” day), and the mask as a regular mask rather than leaving it on overnight .
Hi Alice, I laughed when you commented on the AHA BHA toner since I regretted buying it once. It served no purpose for me since I have stronger percentage of exfoliants in other products and I prefer mist in either pure mineral water or as soothing ingredients to relieve my skin irritation. 😅 I may try using the acne control cream since my Pyungkang Yul acne cream is frequently finished fast to control the cystic acne breakout... 😂 As for the snail mucin serum from Corsx, I am sorry to say I have moved on to the other brands since they have other actives to combat irritation... 😊
It’s so interesting hearing how many of us have moved on from that product. I mean, it was HUGE for a while! But yep, just feels a bit redundant now 🤷♀️ Thank you for sharing your thoughts ☺️
I havent tried a ton from this brand, but i really like the peptide eye cream and the 92 all in one cream. For reference, i have oily dehydrated acne prone skin
Also, if you're doing more western brands, I'd love your thoughts on Regimen Lab and Chemist Confession! They're both indie brands that the skincare community seems to love. Oh, and Niche Lab's Theramid, I'm personally interested in their take of Copper Peptides and their Azid (azelaic acid serum)
Would love to see a rereview of biossance!! Ah or good molecules !! & I would LOVEE to see a full review from you on krave beauty ! There products interest me so much & would love to see your thoughts as well. You should do a UA-cam poll!
@@kasumikat I’ve just started using topicals faded ! I think I’ve got a good hyperpigmentation routine down. Definitely give it a try! Staple product for a lot of people. I also absolutely love what good molecules stand for. I’ve only tried the cleansing balm but I’m definitely going to try more.
I used to really be obsessed with Cosrx, but now i've only stuck to a few key products. LOVE the propolis overnight mask and i had good results with the snail mucin serum with the double chamber, but haven't found myself yearning to repurchase it lol. maybe you can do an algenist re-review? i've found myself really enjoying the few products i have tried
Love the video! I love the Cosrx Cica Toner. It's my HG toner. I don't have red or super sensitive skin, just incredibly dry and dehydrated skin. I haven't found anything that feels as good as their cica toner. But I may be biased. It was the first K-beauty toner I ever tried. Maybe even the first K-Beauty product I tried in general. It'll probably always have a special place in my heart ❤️😊
I love the cosrx propolis line. Have you tried their propolis ampoule? I think you’d enjoy it. I actually love the toner too, & in the mornings I like to mix 1-2 drops of the ampoule into the propolis cream (like it’s an oil!) & it feels lovely on my skin. I had the option to get either the cosrx propolis sleep mask or the PKY essence toner form tjmaxx(couldn’t afford both) Ended up getting PKY(which I have been loving) I tried the sleep mask once and honestly I couldn’t get over the gel texture so I had very low expectations for it and I honestly didn’t give it a good trial I just assumed it would be too light. I LOVE thick heavy night creams that I can feel on my skin yet don’t clog my pores & still wake up with my skin so soft and hydrated. Hard to find lol. (I absolutely love Pacifica wake up beautiful sleep mask but my skin doesn’t like the fragrance! 😠) But seeing your review makes me want to revisit that sleep mask! I haven’t tried the rice mask I’m surprised to hear the propolis one worked better for you! The rice one just appears to be much heavier, I haven’t been able to feel it in person tho. Also, I didn’t really like the cosrx lip sleep by itself. Def not enough for my dry ASFF lips! Sometimes I’ll use it as a first step, then follow with the cerave healing ointment then finish with the milk melatonin lip mask. Tbh I think the results would be the same weather or not I used the cosrx as a first step. Far from enough for me. & lastly I also hate how the aha bha toner is in a spray bottle ! Never understood that for an exfoliating product. They seem to just throw a sprayer on a few of there products at random lol
It’s so strange, the rice mask does look heavier and yet it feels lighter. Feels like some kind of magic trick lol (but I think it does make sense as it’s more occlusive vs emollient, perhaps?)
I actually really like the rice sleep mask it makes my skin look really glowy when i put it over a thick cream at night but i really like it as a makeup primer . My number 1 is also the proplolis toner then the cica fit toner but i haven't tried the peptides booster yet but that will probably kick the cica fit to number 3 lol .
The snail mucin maybe deadly if you're severely allergic like me. My allergic symptoms doesn't show up on skin but it present itself with symptoms of wheezing, shortness of breath, coughing, runny nose, brain fog etc. It only clicks after I stop using it because I was so sick. Hey no more symptoms lol. 6 weeks of hell. Patch test doesn't work here lmao.
I most definitely noticed a change in texture and results from the COS RX snail mucin power essence like you mentioned does not wow me anymore be interested in others opinions also
I finally opened my bottle of Mixsoon Bean essence and I don’t think I can go back to Snail Mucin. My skin is so soft and smooth. I want to try the propolis toner next. I have a bottle of the rice sleeping mask to open once I finish the one I am using. Sorry so late in viewing.
Ah that’s a good one!! It’s rare for me to repurchase products these days, but I found myself really missing the deep hydration it offers. Glad to hear you’re enjoying it as well!
I tried to keep it to only products I currently have so I could include swatches/try ons. But yep I’ve tried the 92! It’s not enough of a moisturizer for me on its own, and unnecessary with the 96 (imo), so I didn’t repurchase. I suspect it might be a perfect fit for normal to oily skin types though!
Hi, I’m a woman that 67 years old that doesn’t look 67. Thanks to Cosrx I’ve been using the 96% musucin for three years now. My manicurist who is Asian is flipping out what is going on with my skin. She says I’ve been looking younger and younger. She can understand it, when she plucking my eyebrows, she said you’re skin is so much tighter. This is crazy. So I bought her a bottle and her and her daughter are using it now and they love it. I don’t think they changed anything on it. I will use this forever and ever. Thank you very much.❤
Yeah…..the SkII video of yours is the one that hooked me! Up until that point, I was completely convinced that the cheaper alternatives were just as good. 😅
I do love the Propolis toner, the BHA, 96% Snail, both over night masks and I'm waiting for the peptide booster. I also love the Peptide eye cream and the snail cream. I would love your knowledgeable brain to dive into the Reviv brand. I started using their Ultimate Serum, about 3 weeks ago, haven't seen any major changes, but I'm looking forward to seeing some results. Many blessings!!!
Interesting brand! I originally looked up Revive before I realized they’re totally different brands 🤣 Reviv pays for ALL the patents! Can you let me know how it goes for you?
I have normal, fairly hardy aging skin. I no longer have acne but since I started walking 2+ hours a day I do get the occasional blackhead (I walk in a city with lots of hills). I have been using the CosRX snail mucin essence for a very long time. It was my FIRST KBeauty product. But as I added more products I thought it was a bit redundant so I stopped using it for a year and then I got dehydrated and repurchased it. I haven’t noticed it being watery but the last 2 bottles I got from Amazon as they were out in Stylevana. I did switch to the cream in a jar but I hated sticking me fingers in it. I did purchase the low ph cleanser as many said they loved it but I found it too drying. However it’s the best cleanser for removing extreme makeup after an oil cleanse so I haven’t ditched it. Recently I wanted to go back to using differin. The first time I used it I discovered my collarbone skin is sensitive to it and I got a strange sore. I wanted to prepare for starting it again and I bought some Purito barrier cream AND the CosRx Comfort ceramide cream. OMG!!!! I’ve been back on using Differin 3 times a week for 3 weeks and then suddenly my collarbone started to feel like my skin barrier there is going (I do NOT put Differin on that area). While I do finish both am and pm routines with the Purito barrier cream the CosRx is way more soothing so I’m using it under my eyes and on my collarbone…. I’m a fan. I’m gonna try for #1 pick in my next order.
The Cosrx propolis toner is by far my most repurchased and top holy grail. I'm all about the feel of a product, I love the thickness of it, and with swimming in chlorine so often, I desperately need something that actually replenishes my skin. It feels like my skin is chugging water when I use it. I will always repurchase.
@@tsemami9096 hi! Yes, it's always my first step. If I use anything before it, it won't feel as hydrating and I get disappointed because whatever I used first didn't feel as hydrating. My favorite part of my routine is using this after washing/drying my face. It's so lovely.
@@tsemami9096 though, if you're using VIT c, I've heard that's recommended to go first, then let it set down. Then follow with this toner. It doesn't follow the typical order where people go thinnest to thickest. But using propolis synergy toner gives you the best hydration feel by far of any product I've tried and it's worth having it go first!
Oh wow! I admit my surprise, but I think it’s only because they’re kind of a “first K-Beauty brand” for so many folks (self included, cosrx 96 was my first YesStyle purchase ever lol). That said, there are many brands that I prefer more as a whole!
I've personally moved on from the Snail Essence, I tried T'IAM & Jumiso's version which have additional ingredients that I love (azulene & peptides, respectively), and now I'm trying Vegreen's Nature Mucin. I honestly don't miss COSRX's version, I also haven't had it in months so idk if it was reformulated
Yuuup, you mentioned two products right there that I like more than cosrx 96: the Jumiso feels like a level up, but the Vegreen made me realize I might not need snail mucin at all 👀
@@connie6410 I highly recommend the Vegreen serum as well, it has more panthenol (5%, as opposed to the 3% in the Essence) so it feels very soothing and cooling to the skin ❤️
Anti-establishment, Lmao. I have some absolute favs for my skin in Cosrx that allow me try out other more intense stuff. I saw #2 at TJMaxx recently but it has an allergen for me. : | I want to try out #1 but I am slightly nervous because I might be allergic to propolis; so I'll save that for later as I just had a BAD reaction to a cleanser. Thanks for your thoughts 💚
Love your re-review series :D my comment got a bit out of hand O.o (just had a lot of thoughts on cosrx products, peptides and tips for pimple clusters i guess) my experience with cosrx: cosrx snail dual radiance essence and their regular snail essence is meh for me. At this point i can conclude snails just doesn't do anything for me. I just don't get those calmng, soothing, antiinflamatory effects. I know panthenol works well for me and i am fairly certain beta glucan have those calming effects on my skin. Oh yeah for some reason viscous products work soemwhat poorly on my skin in terms of hydration though im not sure why that is. It just feels like they sit on top of my skin rather than absorb whereas watery products just absorb but needs a few layers to add hydration. FYI much prefer thicker textures in terms of application it's so much faster and doesn't run inbetween my fingers and onto the floor. I previously tried the rice overnight mask and was annoyed it never absorbed but sayed dewy/hydrating looking on my skin - yet now that sounds so intriguing like how would that work as a highlighter or something - i jst kinda wanna try playing around with it. Also i think i had oily skin last i tried it. their pimple patches are fine but so pricey considering how inepensive the ones from beautybay are especially on sale. For sure agree on the aha/bha toner i was unsure if their bha blackhead toner would be strong enough since i heard it recommended as milder than the paulas choice so i almost got their aha/bha because i assumed it would be stronger fortunately i saw a review on it and decided it was not really a chemical exfoliant. my thoughts on peptides: i 100% agree on the peptides and by logic just is they are in no way irritating my skin and if they might work why not use them, im gonna use a humectant heavy product anyway. But due t lack of reashaerch is also why i avoid growthfactors they are unlikely to be problematic but i just don't wanna take that riskBut it is excatly the same reason i don't wanna use growthfactors they might not encourage growth of normal and possibly bad cells alike but i just don't wanna use them untill i know for certain they unly encourage growth of healthy cell or it could just be shown that statistically it makes no difference riskwise. Other than that i only avoid fragrance in skincare and homosalate and octocrylene in my face suncreen since it makes my eye sting like crazy (i compared he filters on the sunscreen that stung my eye really badly and they all had one or the other, there are other filters that sting my eyes ut those ar more formula dependent but i highly recommend looking at filters in product you react poorly and well to - i makes picking out sunscreens much easier imo) my tip for clusters: buy hydrocolloid bandages if you get a lot of pimples. You can cut them into smaller pieces but you can also cover a whole cheek if you want. Be aware that some hydrocolloid badages are thicker than others so buy one that says it is thin. Highly recommended if you like using them on the nose since they are much cheaper (use a tiny amount of oil on your nose if your find they stick too well to your nose and just use a bit of oil for dry skin - hydrocolloid bandages oosen when they have gotten enough moisture so either oil or gunck from wounds or pimples so obviously dry skin might not have enough oil for them to become loose overnight hence use a bit of oil). I prefer pimplepatches now because i get pimles less frequently now and they are more spread out when i get them so i no longer really get clusters. Also my naughty tip is if you do end up picking at a pimple (plz don't pick it makes it worse 100% of the time) put i pimplepatch or hydrocolloid bandage over it after since it helps suck out gunck and prevent you from touching it again.
Ah yep spot on, panthenol is another ingredient that might have contributed to outgrowing snail mucin! Same with beta glucan as well. I guess it’s simply that K-Beauty uses so many calming/soothing ingredients that once you find a good routine, snail mucin itself feels more optional. Thank you for the tip on the hydrocolloids!
How interesting that the 96 dropped in your rankings! I have always thought of this as serotonin for the skin, and so if it ain’t broken this won’t make a significant difference? Going to adapalene and a C derivative might have rendered this unnecessary for you?
Yeah I do think adapalene likely played a role, albeit in a roundabout way. It improved my acne, which in itself dropped inflammation in my skin, thus rendering all my much-needed anti-inflammatory ingredients…a smidge redundant? Nothing has ever changed my skin as much as adapalene, so it does kind of always come back around to that 🤣
Ive have been using their snail moisturizer in the round flat container. Can you talk a bit on that? I have only used this product so far, about 4 months. I like the feeling going one but then 30 min later I feel dry so I end up putting a payer of vanicream. Hmm I am such a moisturizer junky. I have to have it!
MMM yep, that’s the reason I don’t have it anymore! Between 96 and 92, I think 96 is for dry skin (because we can follow with a moisturizer). 92 tries to be an essence/cream in one, but for dry skin types, I just don’t think it’s enough 🙁
Unfortunately i cannot use most of cosrx products. Idk why but their products always break me out especially the propolis line and snail mucin essence. Then i found a derm said bee related products and snail mucin are common allergens. No wonder my skin reacts to it because i have allergic prone skin
@@AliceintheRabbitHole i wanted to love the propolis toner because it feels nice on the skin but after 3 days i got an acne hives all over my face😭. So currently I’m focusing on healing my skin barrier because it’s so damaged. Luckily i found my HG moisturiser that does wonder on my skin.
Do you apply your skincare while your face is wet? Your skin looks wet while demonstrating applying. I'm not sure if your skin appears that way or if it is. I ask because I see alot of articles that say apply to wet or maybe damp skin, but I never see that in the directions of products. Have I been doing it all wrong? Except cleaner of course lol.. Thank you!
I jave the peptide serum, which is more of a peptide water. Why so thin, why not a true serum? Im 3/4 of the way through. Low persentages and feels like water. I'll never spend my money on it again. Im too old to mess with this type of product.
I got my hands on 7 bottles of the propolis, I very much enjoy it. I had actually never heard of it or seen anybody talk about it so I really didn't know much about it. But I found it cool that you put it on those DIY mask sheets because I actually use a small piece of paper towel to use as a spot treatment on a acne bump that hurts or has extracted for relief and healing. So I feel like I figured out something cool by myself knowing you also do something similar 😂. I did get a couple full DIY sheet masks for a full face with the toner just haven't done it yet. BUT, I had also gotten 4 bottles of the snail mucin (cosrx of course), but I really don't like the feel of it after it dries, it feels matte and icky feeling, almost dirty. And I thought it was suppose to feel hydrating. I just don't understand the product ? ... If anybody cares to enlighten me on your experience, how you use it or how you feel about the mucin, I'd like that 😊.
I only started using the snail mucin this year snd i like it so far for the hydration but i havent used it long enough to notice anything else but ill still use it for that reason as of now.
I actually like the Centella toner mist, Definitely helps to calm my breakouts. I just ordered the new peptide serum so hopefully it works for me. With how much I spent, it better lol prices in Sardinia are so expensive compared to usa
Another influerence just raved about thie propolis product, Tina Tanaka Harris, so I'm intrigued. They keep saying it's great for oily skin....she has dry skin and loves it, what do you think about using this on dry skin?
I have not tried the calming liquid mild but they have an intensive version that i had a sample and i liked it. Ingredients are slightly different as intensive has propolis. It does have denatured alcohol and my sample did smell like it but with other ingredients think it is to keep the watery texture. I have combo to dry skin that is sensitive and did not have an issue.
I was hoping you would talk about the dual essence too (or at least in the advance snail 96 section) as I am still indecisive if I should get that or go for the 96 essence instead. Also i noticed you didnt talk about the all in one cream
I never bought it because I have no shortage of niacinamide, but I hear folks do like it! As for the 92, I didn’t like it but I totally see how it has an audience. I think the 96 is for dry skin, but the 92 is for normal-oily. 92 is supposedly an “all in one cream” (essence and moisturizer in one). But as such, it’s too light for a moisturizer on dry skin types, whereas the 96 + a heavier moisturizer works out better. Hope that helps!
@@AliceintheRabbitHoleah thats absolutely perfect then for me! I have normal oily skin (and acne prone skin) and i only tried the all in one cream. I'll just stick to that then and skip on the essences (though im still tempted to try out the dual one) Thank you so much for your explaination and review 🥰
That propolis synergy toner is so popular and i see why. This stuff is so good on my combination skin. hydration, glow, brightening-this toner delivers it all
@@nicolechristine6826oh wow. I’m surprised and not surprised at the same time, lol. Just seeing Ulta’s prices on these made me go, “and that’s why I buy from YS/vana!”
What about all of the other products in their propolis line like the cream and the ampule? How do you feel about those? I love your reviews and mash of cosplay etc and skincare The nerd in me adores it so much lol
Oh speaking of smaller brands have you heard of Inde Wild? Also, there's the minimalist brand and I don't know if you've reviewed Dieux skincare or not.
i have the full size spot cream! imo its okay. sometimes i saw great results and it did calm it down or help heal and not leave as bad of hyperpigmentation, but most of the time it doesnt do much for me
Oh man, that Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence was my LOVE! I hope we can find out for sure if the formulation has indeed been changed because I’ve been thinking about repurchasing it 😭.
I love your hair, hats and jewelry in all your videos. I haven’t found a K beauty product that didn’t irritate my rosacea prone combination skin. I haven’t tried very many that I like mainly because I got tired of spending money on stuff that caused irritation. I’ve come to the conclusion that Korean skincare is not for mature skin.
Thank you! It’s been the opposite for me, but yknow - it just goes to show how different experiences can be with skincare as a whole. It’s so hard to find out perfect products 😔
Related (but also unrelated lol), I’ve been trying to figure out why some perfumes smell like pickles to some people. There must be some common molecule(s?) responsible for that scent!
Might have to get that spot cream! B12 supplements have me a lot of pimples. Stopped the B12 a week ago but those pimples aren’t going down without a fight
Yep. They ran a platinum perks day, and unfortunately the site gave out towards the end of the day. goodness I don’t know when they’ll get it together!! 😢
Hi Alice. I noticed you put gel and foaming cleansers on a dry face. I didn't know about this method. Could this be the reason for over-stripping effect the cleansers have on your skin? I have same skin type as you and I apply gel and foaming cleansers on my face after I splash it with water. So far all K beauty cleansers I've used were fine.Provided I follow up with the rest of my routine. Thanks for mentioning propolis toner. I will add it to my wish list!
Possibly, although what I prefer to do is foam them off my hands with water and then apply. That’s much better than applying directly to my face, at least for me! I suspect it might be another case where different methods work best for different people, perhaps?
I do that, too, though I do have an oilier skin. I would never use gel or foam cleansers on a dry skin, it would feel too stripping even for me. Milk, balm, oil and cream cleansers go on a dry skin.
I didn't find the Propolis Synergy Toner hydrating at all! I have extremely dry & dehydrated skin (thanks to medication) and I had to pair another more hydrating toner with the Propolis Synergy Toner in order to use it up. I loved the Propolis overnight mask (the Rice is not occlusive enough) but recently I switched to the iUNIK Propolis Vitamin Sleeping Mask and I think I like it better. It's less sticky but still super occlusive.
Oh wow! Can I ask what your favorite hydrating toner is? I fully believe you but am so surprised, as this feels deeply hydrating to me (and now I gotta get to the bottom of what differences we are experiencing LOL!)
@AliceintheRabbitHole At night I use several layers (like 5 or more) of the Make Prem Safe Me Relief Essence Toner followed by 2 or 3 layers of the Klairs Supple Preparation Unscented
The Snail 96 Essences so so anymore I use it but no big change in my skin anymore I use so many other products that have many soothing ingrediencies. I used to be hardcore Snail Dude and now and I can't believe I'm saying this, But it's okay.
@@AliceintheRabbitHole ya and Purito and Pyunkang Yul too. Windshield whipermotions with our eye shadows. Remember always go back over with the brush before windshield wiper motions , no harsh lines?
Hi Alice some great products from cosrx, not tried 6 peptide skin booster yet. But agree with your top 4, I purchase the I’m from honey mask thinking it was the Cosrx overnight mask duh 😂also lip sleep got lost in the post so didn’t try that, and then I wasn’t sure whether to get the Cosrx galactomyces 95 tone balancing essence or the physicians formula essence of healthy setting spray, so I’m glad I chose the latter. The aha/bha I did wonder about the the mist on it as you just know people would be spraying it all over their faces and into there eyes ouch 🫣😳😂
The physicians formula is so much better, and I can’t even really tell you why. That’s an underrated gem! Ooh and those are two favorites (I’m from / cosrx), although yep, very different products!
I really like the AC Collection Blemish Spot Clearing Serum... At least the version I have not sure if they changed it. CosRx still has some great products. One of my first kbeauty brands.

Your skin looks flawless, you’d never tell that you suffer with acne and have dry skin!❤
Thank you 🥰
NGL, it was a long journey to this point!
Old: Snail Secretion Filtrate, Betaine, Butylene Glycol, 1,2-Hexanediol, Sodium Hyaluronate, Panthenol, Arginine, Allantoin, Ethyl Hexanediol, Sodium Polyacrylate, Carbomer, Phenoxyethanol
New: Snail Secretion Filtrate, Betaine, Butylene Glycol, 1,2-Hexanediol, Sodium Polyacrylate, Phenoxyethanol, Sodium Hyaluronate, Allantoin, Ethyl Hexanediol, Carbomer, Panthenol, Arginine
1-6 dominant.
@@Awesomeboyscout - I think all the ingredients are accounted for there; just jumbled around.
But yep, just feels a bit redundant now 🤷♀️
Thank you for sharing your thoughts ☺️
I havent tried a ton from this brand, but i really like the peptide eye cream and the 92 all in one cream. For reference, i have oily dehydrated acne prone skin
Thanks for sharing ☺️
Update...bought the propolis toner on your rec and it is now my favorite lol . My skin loves this stuff!
I’m eyeing both of those!! Good to hear there is interest ☺️
@@AliceintheRabbitHole Yay, I know you're not doing them anytime soon, but still looking forward to your thoughts on them ❤️
Yesss so curious about Niche Labs both those specific products!! Regimen Labs is so good! Their Wave 2.0 serum is AMAZING!!
I third the interest in those 3 brands
I ADORE that propolis toner! It literally gives me glass skin! It’s soooo good!
Is it good for dry skin???
Would love to see a rereview of biossance!! Ah or good molecules !! & I would LOVEE to see a full review from you on krave beauty ! There products interest me so much & would love to see your thoughts as well.
You should do a UA-cam poll!
Ooooh yeah i started using good molecule and i want to try topical faded too
@@kasumikat I’ve just started using topicals faded !
Algenist is still one of my splurgy favorites lol. Yeah I would really like to revisit them as well!
@@AliceintheRabbitHole definitely not trying to get you to spend lots of money lol- but I’m interested! It’s for science
Agreed, the synergy toner is sooooooo goooooooooood. It’s one of my favorites!
It’s such a wonderful product 😃
You are my favourite..I look forward to watching your videos.. Greetings from Greece
Interesting that you didn’t mention the all-in-one cream. Once I got past the texture by the third or fourth use I love it.
Thank you very much.❤
Thank you for sharing your experience ☺️
What is your favorite moisturizer? I do have a bit of a T-Zone, but otherwise sensitive mature dry skin.
Yeah…..the SkII video of yours is the one that hooked me! Up until that point, I was completely convinced that the cheaper alternatives were just as good. 😅
Right ugh. They sounded the same in theory! 😭
I originally looked up Revive before I realized they’re totally different brands 🤣
Reviv pays for ALL the patents! Can you let me know how it goes for you?
Absolutely!!!
Looking forward to Byoma and InnBeauty. I really like byoma and love innBeauty’s lip oils.
I’m so excited! Both brands look wonderful, hoping my experience is the same 😁
I like the lip sleep for hydration too. I am almost done with mine. I probably wouldn't repurchase. ❌️⭕️
Anti establishment hahaha ! ❤ you
I have normal, fairly hardy aging skin.
Yuuup lol, it really is like Gatorade for the skin🤣
@@AliceintheRabbitHole omg I love that, it's perfect for it 😅
Hi, can you share how you use the toner? The first step after washing the face? 🙏
Sacrilege but I have never used CosRX! ❤
Oh wow! I admit my surprise, but I think it’s only because they’re kind of a “first K-Beauty brand” for so many folks (self included, cosrx 96 was my first YesStyle purchase ever lol). That said, there are many brands that I prefer more as a whole!
Alice have you tried the Cosrx cica cream intense?? I have dry, acne prone like you,and this cream is beautiful. Specially like a night mask.
Oh interesting, no that’s one of their products that I haven’t tried!
Yuuup, you mentioned two products right there that I like more than cosrx 96: the Jumiso feels like a level up, but the Vegreen made me realize I might not need snail mucin at all 👀
I bought the Vegreen after seeing Alice's review of it and I love it!
Yep, unfortunately propolis allergy is a real thing. It’s yet another one of those ingredients that is great for most, but a concern for others 😔
Love your re-review series :D
my comment got a bit out of hand O.o (just had a lot of thoughts on cosrx products, peptides and tips for pimple clusters i guess)
my experience with cosrx:
cosrx snail dual radiance essence and their regular snail essence is meh for me.
For sure agree on the aha/bha toner i was unsure if their bha blackhead toner would be strong enough since i heard it recommended as milder than the paulas choice so i almost got their aha/bha because i assumed it would be stronger fortunately i saw a review on it and decided it was not really a chemical exfoliant.
my thoughts on peptides:
i 100% agree on the peptides and by logic just is they are in no way irritating my skin and if they might work why not use them, im gonna use a humectant heavy product anyway. Other than that i only avoid fragrance in skincare and homosalate and octocrylene in my face suncreen since it makes my eye sting like crazy (i compared he filters on the sunscreen that stung my eye really badly and they all had one or the other, there are other filters that sting my eyes ut those ar more formula dependent but i highly recommend looking at filters in product you react poorly and well to - i makes picking out sunscreens much easier imo)
my tip for clusters:
buy hydrocolloid bandages if you get a lot of pimples.
Really have moved on too from this brand . I love In beauty.
And their pimple paste is the best by far. Fun video as always !
Unfortunately i cannot use most of cosrx products. Idk why but their products always break me out especially the propolis line and snail mucin essence. Then i found a derm said bee related products and snail mucin are common allergens. No wonder my skin reacts to it because i have allergic prone skin
Yep, unfortunately they are. They’re among that category of ingredients that work great IF you’re not allergic 😔
Looking forward to Byoma. I love the balancing face mist toner.
Is this an honest review if she gets commission
Love your COSRX review. ❤. I have mostly K Beauty in my skincare routines but would like to try other brands. Could you review Stratia?

One of my absolute favorite brands 🥰🥰
Informative as always!
Love this video. Please start doing this kind of videos with other brands as well.
I actually like the Centella toner mist, Definitely helps to calm my breakouts. I just ordered the new peptide serum so hopefully it works for me. With how much I spent, it better lol prices in Sardinia are so expensive compared to usa
Oh wow! Well if it helps, I haven’t yet seen a bad review of the peptide serum 😃
does anyone know if cosrx recolect propolis without harming bees?
Another influerence just raved about thie propolis product, Tina Tanaka Harris, so I'm intrigued. They keep saying it's great for oily skin....she has dry skin and loves it, what do you think about using this on dry skin?
Hi Alice. What did you think about the sheet masks from this brand? Tia ❤️
Thank you for sharing ☺️
Hi Alice !
Can I use Cosrx full fit propolis synergy toner if I have dry skin and I don't have a single acne?
Yay!! Greetings from tomorrow and the home of COSRX❤
Heyo!! 😁
Another great video Alice! Thank you for your work! ❤
🥰🥰
Alice- one of the most impressive products is missing. The cosrx power enriched cream
I was hoping you would talk about the dual essence too (or at least in the advance snail 96 section) as I am still indecisive if I should get that or go for the 96 essence instead. Also i noticed you didnt talk about the all in one cream
totally agree with the AHA/BHA toner though, I really want to try the I'm from rice toner instead
I'll just stick to that then and skip on the essences (though im still tempted to try out the dual one)
Thank you so much for your explaination and review 🥰
could the beta carotene have made it yellow? it is a colourant after all
The propolis toner claimed the title of Holy Grail the first time I tried it
I haven't explored much of Cosrx products except for the snail mucin.
That propolis synergy toner is so popular and i see why. This stuff is so good on my combination skin. hydration, glow, brightening-this toner delivers it all
I stopped into Marshall’s last week and was shocked to see the top shelf was completely full with Cosrx products. I’m talking the whole shelf 😂
Oh wow!! How were the prices?
@@AliceintheRabbitHole the prices were actually higher than what you’d pay on yesstyle, stylevana etc.. I didn’t end up buying anything.
I love your reviews and mash of cosplay etc and skincare
The nerd in me adores it so much lol
Donginbi is having their anniversary and products are like 40% off on Amazon. Just wanted to let u know.
😱 thank you!
Oh speaking of smaller brands have you heard of Inde Wild? Also, there's the minimalist brand and I don't know if you've reviewed Dieux skincare or not.
I haven’t! Looking at them now - I actually did try another Ayurveda based brand though. I’d try more ☺️
Okay you’ve talked me into yet another toner 😂 I’ve had my eye on the propolis line for quite some time.
I gotta admit: it’s one of the most deeply hydrating toners I’ve tried!
@@AliceintheRabbitHole can’t wait to try it! I’m sure I’ll love it, having the same skin type as you 💞
That is really foamy! Great review. Have a wonderful week ❌️⭕️
Sooo much foam haha! Thank you, hope you have a great week too! 🥰
What do you recommend for my normal to oily skin guys?
Sometimes the best products are the most basic.
Indeed!
Well said
i have the full size spot cream! imo its okay. sometimes i saw great results and it did calm it down or help heal and not leave as bad of hyperpigmentation, but most of the time it doesnt do much for me
Since I didn't want to use the AHA/BHa clarifying toner on my face, I decided to just spray it on my body after my shower instead.
Good thinking. I might do the same to use it up
Yayyyy, cosrx 🥰
Is the first propolis something you use before other waterbased serum? Do you know the ph? 🙏🏼😊
You definitely can! I think it’s around a pH of 5
Oh man, that Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence was my LOVE! I hope we can find out for sure if the formulation has indeed been changed because I’ve been thinking about repurchasing it 😭.
Same. I have no way to confirm one way or the other 😢
What about cosrx dual essence? ❤
The oil free moisturizer felt wonderful but I'd only use it at night. It's too glowy/greasy for daytime. I have very oily skin.
Oh wow thank you for sharing. I would have never guessed that with my dry skin!
6 peptide skin booster is a pro ,I love it
The Vitamin C has a yucky pickle juice smell. Too bad, as I like it.
Related (but also unrelated lol), I’ve been trying to figure out why some perfumes smell like pickles to some people. There must be some common molecule(s?) responsible for that scent!
What about hydrium toner? I saw it in lots of your videos...😊
I finished my bottle but decided against repurchasing. It’s nice though
Is cosrx unisex brand or just only for females?
definitely unisex ☺️
Might have to get that spot cream! B12 supplements have me a lot of pimples. Stopped the B12 a week ago but those pimples aren’t going down without a fight
I was shocked by it from the first night I used it. It’s definitely a night product from that appearance, but whoa!
For me the snail musin I have a reaction to. I get these under the skin breakout. That takes forever to go away.
Ouch! So sorry to hear 😔
Is the propolis still good for the skin that is not acne prone?
Yeah it has strengthening properties as a whole, great for barrier support ☺️
What are your thoughts on Cosrx moisture power enriched cream?
I actually haven’t tried that!
Ulta said it couldn't *load* Propolis.
It's a load alright! 😡
I have acne which one will good for me
I didn't find the Propolis Synergy Toner hydrating at all!
@@cjaneg97oooh ok. Interesting. (I’m still figuring it out lol)
What about the cica toner? I want to try it...
The Snail 96 Essences so so anymore I use it but no big change in my skin anymore I use so many other products that have many soothing ingrediencies. I used to be hardcore Snail Dude and now and I can't believe I'm saying this, But it's okay.
So you too, huh!? I’m floored by how many of us have moved past snail mucin. Remember the era where it was HUGE? 😱
@@AliceintheRabbitHole ya and Purito and Pyunkang Yul.

Do you use the propolis synergy toner and the six peptide skin booster together in the same routine?
You definitely can, although the propolis toner can start to get tacky when layered (including over other toners). Hence why I prefer it at night ☺️
what do you think of some by mi? specifically the aha bha pha toner
It s fine, it s not great, very mild if you have more severe acne you might wanna try something stronger but it s a good choice for an everyday extra
Good to know, that’s the one I’m eyeing to go with the spot cream haha!
@@AliceintheRabbitHole the ingredients list is quite impressive in my opinion 😍 for some reason I always forget about it but then I see it and remember it's a goodie😂
