This is Mike & C.J. Szuter. Knew the boys well when they moved to L.A. before relocating to Henderson fresh from Ohio. Very obvious that this must be there very first recording. The first one I heard was Crushorama so I figured they came out the womb shredding, wow it shows us meer mortals you have to start somewhere. Getting to know those guys so we'll ( they lived in my apt. building ) so much fun being a guitar player myself it was like having Eddie Van Halen right nextdoor. Love them dudes both great guitar players and song writers.
This is like, hearing Pantera from their Glam/heavy Metal era with Terry Glaze as a vocalist. Magna-fi/The Szuters were so diferent back then...!! This is a gem.
I'm assuming all these comments must be from people's of Ohio. Heard everything from O.T.B. to the Szuter's and Magna-Fi and saw them open Ozz Fest with Mike starting the show with EVH' s "eruption" cannot talk them enough. From Russ Parrish of Steel Panther playing with them and Enuff z Nuff trying to recruit Mike as there guitarist and him turning the gig down. I even got to play rhythm guitar on there most rare B-side a metal version of the Laverne and Shirley theme song ( old T.V. comedy ) so many great memories, thank you boys for all the great music and fun, even got to hang at Paul Gilbert's on Mike's birthday ( July 4th ) Coolio my fellow rockers this is 4 sure a long lost jem. Search Szuter's on you tube and find lots and lots of rare and unknown tracks. Michael Berry... Out.....
I just recently learned about this band and Magna-Fi and the Szuters. An interesting piece of Ohio rock and roll history! I really appreciate all the effort you’ve put into preserving this! Love that we’re able to hear such a hidden gem! Hopefully someday I’ll come across this sitting forgotten in a thrift store somewhere! 😆
LET'S GOOOOOOO actually, if you're an apple user, why is this in FLAC? apple has never, and will never, support the format. it's great to have this, but i can't use it without converting it(which ruins the quality that you seem hell-bent on preserving). you can definitely hear the Cheap Trick influence here, which isn't a bad thing at all.
FLAC is the standard used by pretty much everyone but Apple, and they (for some reason) have their own format called ALAC that is literally the exact same quality but "apple-fied". it's an easy conversion but don't ask me why they want you to do it that way, beats me. Another reason I'm trying to get out of using Apple devices.
@@ItSureBounces apple was literally the first advocate for lossless before FLAC existed, and then as soon as it came into being they refused to use it. bunch of hypocrites tbh. i love my ipod but i hate everything about it that isn't the music player aspect. i wish sony made modern walkman models that were affordable...
