Complete package...if any band from the 80s/90s was going to make it out of Cleveland it was this band. Super talented and stage-ready. I'm so happy this exists. Outta The Blue...The Szuters...Magna Fi....I'm a fan of it all.
Amazing. I was there EVERY time they played. Even got to open a few shows for them. I'm no Timmy Burris, but know theses songs inside and out. I could prolly sit down at my kit and run through this set beginning to end. Thanks for sharing!
These guys were the best band in Cleveland. I saw many of their shows and was never disappointed. I remember one time CJ lost his voice during the first set and for the second set they did all instrumental songs that they wrote. It was awesome! I think it was at Flashes on the west side of Cleveland.
One of the best from back in the day! Another reminder that Rock & Roll got its name in Cleveland! The kind of songs that put me in the mood to invite some friends over to roll up a joint and pour some shots to kick off a 'watch party' on a f•••ing Monday morning! Looks and sounds like a 'pro shot' live performance video! Glad to see more of the best of the '80s and '90s preserved for posterity on video!
Thanks for sharing this! One of my fave bands of that era. I still listen to them! I remember being a member of the OTB International Fanclub. They sent me a postcard on my birthday, and it said something like, "Happy birthday from Outta The Blue! We hope your day is 'Picture Perfect!'" 🤘🏼
This was a great blast from the past! Who doesn't love bubbles!! Such energy! So nice to see 3 outta 4 of you like this when I've only come to know you the past few years..One I have yet to meet. :-)
The music industry passed. Yes, they passed them up because bands like this were 10 years behind the curve. Nirvana was releasing Nevermind at the time.
@@markjsound people still make older style music today. that doesn't mean they're "behind" anything. not every band has to do something *new*. some bands can just do old stuff *better*.
@@alicevioleta3184 You missed the point. The original comment said "the music industry passed on them". The music industry passed because, at the time, this music was not selling anymore. In 1991 this music wasn't going to compete with Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Sound Garden, etc. If you like it, great. But there was never going to be enough people to like it for the music industry to embrace it
No local hair metal band could touch these guys. No one even came close with the songs, talent and professionalism. If they were only this good 4 or 5 years earlier, they could have had a shot at the semi-bigtime.
@@lastyle7363 Spoiled, if I remember correctly, had several line-up changes. I think that while beating the dead horse toward their end, the drummer became the singer.
@@whataboutrob442This is way better than Nirvana. Every single band of the grunge scene was a way better than Nirvana. Kurt couldnt even play a proper Power Chord.
@@whataboutrob442 Outta The Blue was not "thaaaat" glam tbh. I hate Glam but Outta The Blue goes hard. Have you heard The Szuters/Magna-fi? The two bands created after Outta the Blue ended. Very good music, and they weren't even glam. I thank the grunge bands for being partly responsible for ending glam, but I think the band that definitely put the final nail in glam's coffin was Pantera with their intense thrash and groove metal!
These guys were much more talented than so many of the bands that had record deals and videos. It's a damn shame..

Ah, to be 15 and drooling over Mike Szuter again.

I mean, they were around for years. Making music all the way up to the 2000s. And that's not counting the new Szuters album that came out recently.

Russ didn't join til OTB got to L.A. and even then he was only in for a minute.
Shoulda' been fucking HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Three months later Nirvana releases Nevermind. Ha ha ha
Mark Jastrzebski boy you are spot on though! Literally changed over night!
Thank God! I never really got it until you compared the pompous nature of this band compared to a band with real songs.
