Man so great to see you stretching some lip! Sucks to see it came to the expense of a broken rod tho! I've recently started fishing Pheonix rods and I'm really liking the quality! I currently own 2 of their spinning rods, no casting yet tho so I can't say anything first handidly of their casting section, but I'd imagine they'd be pretty good like their spinning selection.

I think I saw those at Sportsmans, but shied away since I hadn't heard much about them before. I ended up picking up a Lews Mach IM7 (Or something like that!) and I am really digging it. I got one that's a little less stuff and the action on the rod tip when using moving baits is real nice so far 🔥🔥

I love the reel! But the rod seems a bit iffy... I ended up picking up a Lews and I'm digging it so far with the SLX reel. We'll see how it holds up!

That sucks about the rod. I tend to spend a bit more on my rods and go for a good graphite. I Have had my Berkleys for years without any problems. Granted they were not cheep. So to buy them today they would be around $300 Canadian more or less but again, they have lasted for years and years.
I feel that. As I get older, I keep telling myself "Buy once, cry once" for many things. Higher quality usually ends up paying off in the long run! Thanks for the watch!

@@FishandForage Nice! I just bought a KastKing centron complete for twitching salmon, hopefully it works. I want to use it for bass too though. its a 7'6 , med-heavy
