- Yet another day on the pontoon trying to go for some early spring bass! Unfortunately skunked in that regard, but I did land a few beautiful trout, so the day was not all lost.
Also caught a crazy mid-air bird fight over a fish!

Dang! That seems to be the move as of lately! Go for bass, end up with a trout bite. The largemouth have been weird this year, usually it's started by now! What the hell universe!?
Desperation moves! I have a target in mind, but I'll be damned if I am skunked! And I agree - Why is it so hard to catch a damn bass so far this year??

How do you like that casting deck mod? Been thinking of doing that to mine but I want for casting the fly rod.
Oh I love it! And it's super cheap and easy. Some PVC and a single sheet of plywood! Definitely worth the couple hours it takes to put together. VERY stable, too. You can easily stand and cast flies without falling. Assuming you have a little balance lol
