The company was originally founded in 1952 by John Searcy in Dallas, Texas as a car battery rebuilder and wholesaler under the name Interstate Auto Parts. I ran a garage and sold interstate batteries however they only lasted 3 years I've found walmart batteries last longer and are reasonably priced.

Do you mean the EverStart battery from Walmart? If I am not mistaken, they are made by the same company that made the Interstate battery.

In my experience, their 'ever start' batteries are NEVER START!!

I am satisfied with Bosch batteries. We dont have Interstate here in Norway.

As I brand I love Bosch, I even use their spark plugs on one of my cars. Quality brand, for sure!

because they are heavy, it's better to make them at multiple locations and not ship them a long way.

Just replaced 7 year old Interstate in my F150 (still working)...with another one (my mechanic uses them in his vehicles!). The MegaZone etc batteries never even lasted 3 yrs.

I've run Interstate for 40 years! Not anymore! They've lost their quality! Nothing but junk anymore! No Interstate for sale in my shop! And the big sign is no longer hanging outside!
