What??? I just bought an Audi Q3 for my wife. We love everything about this suv. This suv is great, in my opinion. It is small by design. I know a little bit about cars, I own a Porshe Cayman, BMW 530i, and a Mercedes Benz 320. The Audi Q3 fits just right in my “stable”
The Q3 is the perfect SUV for parking in tight spots in town then escaping to the mountains on the weekend. With park assist, it’ll parallel park itself. BTW, the purpose of a seat pass-thru to the trunk is to carry skis. This is a subcompact and the skis won’t fit well, so get a roof rack instead. No one in the history of pass-thru trunk compartments was ever able to reach for the one item they wanted anyway. Pano roof, radar cruise control w/ lane centering (nearly autonomous driving), and real-time traffic Nav are all options. My ‘21 Q3 PremPlus 45 TFSI is all options at $50k USD. Please, do not compare this to anything other than the X1, which is more expensive when equally packaged. Honda, Toyota, and Mazda are value vehicles. The Q3 is near-luxury. Not a proper comparison.

Hello. I just bough the Q3 35TFSI I don't mind to have classic key engines starter. Also I can undestand the back seat and space but the seat are adjustable you didn't mentioned about it. Having the possibility to access the back of the car from back seater is irrevelant. I was hoping that you could comment on the positive of the car as well and the driving experience.
I just bought a Q3 as a CHEAP run around daily. A week ago, I would agree with you 100%. This doesn’t compare but I wanted something to daily other than my M4 and X3M….. then I discovered the premium plus trim with comfort and technology package. Bro, if you didn’t get the most entry level version of Audi’s most entry level “SUV” every single complaint you have would’ve been solved except the back seat room and possibly consumption. Yeah you have legit gripes but you also could’ve prioritized options over a luxury name. I believe they create these entry level models and options for two types of buyers. The brand/luxury loyalists that needs something to just rack up miles and wear and tear but don’t want to leave their brand of choice or the luxury segment then there’s the crowd that may be excluded from entering the brand because of the price of entry on a high tier luxury car so here’s your bare bones badge on wheels so you can have a slice of luxury and hopefully grow with the brand. Can’t complain when you know you chose the lower spec car unless someone made you buy it. This trim exists because it will still sell because the badge says luxury but the reality is this video.
It seems like an OK value to me - you also get a lot of stuff for the base price like pano roof heated wheel and seats - not so concerned about navi b/c google maps. It should be a bit more expensive than a Hyundai!
Hyundai and other makers aren't that cheap. Most Japanese like a rav4 prime cost more than a base q3... Speaking of Navi, most people buy the vehicle with the upgraded screen for the virtual cockpit. That one comes with Navi as a standard since the dash has more features than base 10 inch.
I just test drove a 2024. I agree with all your points on why I don’t like it. Also, I live in a northern climate and there is no Factory installed remote start. My VW does.
I've bought a new Q3 2023 35 TFSi. Couldnt be more happier. Super comfy car, amazing driving sensation, inside the city around 730-770klm autonomy (imagine on the highway)....great trunk space. Lovely colour plus im putting now 19'' inch Concaver CVR1. No problems whatsover. Great technology and one of the best if not the best infotainment system ever on a car. Title is completely wrong with BIG PROBLEMS. Bit pricey but its an Audi. Its not for all Soz but video get a dislike from me.
I agree but on different things. 1-Fit and Finish isn't as good as previous generation on things like they didn't paint and clear coat the fender area and engine bay compared to previous generation. Also there is less under body covers and tray to protect engine and undercarriage. Making car more noisy at highway speeds than previous generation. 2- Handling not as sharp and more oversteer than previous generation 3- Braking- there is a known issue with brake pad transfer to rotors causing brake growl at lower speeds and in some cases steering while vibration. This is due to material transfer from pad to rotor and nothing to do with brake bedding for newer cars. Audi is aware but you have to put up a big fight with Service Dept and Audi Customer Care for them to acknowledge 4- Body chatter and squeaks as there was a rattle on passenger side of car from day we left showroom floor. Audi service did take care of on this and acknowledged ita know issue on newer platform Q3 (unlike brake issue.....) 5-Entertainment Head Unit failure- This one Audi ACTUALLY admitted component failure but i was first to bring to attention before TSB-91EI was created where they replace the complete unit. On ours the ordered and soldered in failed parts meanwhile provided NO loaner vehicle while car had no MMI or radio for weeks while they had to figure out which parts needed. No Automobile Manufacture is perfect but their customer care and service departments have fallen off and can do better. This was supposed to be a better model but IMO the previous generation was better outside of this car having a little more power.
I am a teen in hs with the 2022 Audi Q3 S line. It truly is a nice car. We were gonna get the BMW X1 but at the time, it didn’t meet the expectations tech wise but they improved a lot now. Anywho, the Audi Q3 is a GREAT luxury car for a small family, or a few people. It drives very nice, you feel comfortable and safe driving it as it was rated one of the highest scores cars safety wise which is also why my parents got me it. Overall, I recommend it, and I thank my parents to getting me such an amazing car. I am pretty spoiled from this, but at least I get straight As and plan to go to medical school. I know I got off topic, but just for people who might write hate comments towards it.
Great for you young person, I know your parents are sooo proud of you! I bought my wife a 2022 Q3 for the same reasons. I can tell your parents love you too! Achieve those goals!
You write in the title 'Why you should never buy Audi Q3', before I saw your video I thought that you will talk about engine problems, awful driving experience, bad electronics etc. Those reasons that you mention are not reasons for not buy the Q3. I believe that you have to change you title.
Audi spends money on quality, fit and finish, paint, material and noise vibration harshness insulation. Even tho for the same price Koreans offer more features.
I previously owned an A3 sedan followed by an A5 sport back prior to my Q3. To sum it all up, it’s an otherwise wonderful premium vehicle that’s let down by a not so premium drivetrain. The 45 2 litre engine sounds extremely grainy at high RPM and the 8 speed transmission is what really lets this vehicle down. Clunky rough shifting in higher gears and it gets even worse as it lurches through downshifts when braking. Everything else however is typical top notch Audi. A gorgeous modern interior, solid quality finishes and the baby Q8 design. In winter driving while the Haldex AWD is not real “Quattro” performs extremely well in slippery conditions with barely any hesitation in kicking the other wheels into motion for seamless traction. My advice? Spring for the Q5 and enjoy the refinement that a real Audi should be known for.
@@lucagiordano6406 not really a stretch. Every reviewer out there compares the vehicle to the q8 because styling and interior. Audi brought majority of the tech in q8 over to q3. The only difference is q8 having better interior since its twice the price of a q3. Audi has the rsq3 with 400hp with the dsg gearbox. It practically is a q8 ...its just that model isn't available in North America. Likely due to pricing out of the market demand.Aside from q5, q3 is audis second best seller.
I disagree with your review. I have a 2020 Q3 (Technik model with sports option), and I absolutely love it. As a matter of fact, I will be buying it back after the lease is over. Think before you express your personal opinions. And by the way, the key fob is fine.
Thanks for the video, but looks like most of the so-called issues you’re experienced could have been picked up with a quick visit to a dealership to stay 10-15 minutes in the car…. Only the consumption would remain on the table, but that is also consistent with other Audi or VAG vehicles using the same engine……
I have a 2023 Q3 .Drives beautifully however my biggest issue with it the brakes! It makes a terrible Thumping noise when you get of the garage or you slowly drive in traffic foot on brake pedal.Very annoying.I took the car to the dealer they say its normal!?I tried a brand new Q3 as well same issue with the brakes. As somebody mentioned it sounds like when the Titanic sinking.Same noise. Very dissapointing. We have a Bmw X1 same year and these brakes are flawless, night and day.Zero noise, zero squeal.
Honestly, sounds like you wanted a bigger car and bought a smaller one. That's kind of more on you than on the car. Looking at the comments below, people love this car if they own and maintain it properly. The seats fold down also. Why do you need a hatch through the middle seat??
My wife have a Q3 Prem S-Line Quattro it’s enough room for her and my son (baby car seat). For me it’s to small since I’m a big guy that’s why I own a GLE400. Still drive it with no issue. The only thing I hate is the soy base wire loom that they use and the high pressure injectors (loud tapping). Also the hatch can only fit a full size Uppababy stroller the grocery bags has to sit on top of the stroller. The rear cargo can be tight.
Hello from Peru, I like your videos but I’m so curious about what is your ethnicity?? Because everyone in Canada isn’t the actual homeland right? Unless you are indigenous? Thanks
in luxury cars you dont get chachkas that you get on cheaper consumer cars... what you get on Toyota and Hyundai as standard or base feature, for that you have to pay to upgrade in the lux German cars
Yeah the key fob is outdated. I have a $28,000 KIA and had another KIA that was a $20,000 vehicle and have push button start and remote start. Even most of the cheap affordable vehicles have remote start and push button start and a smart key instead of an ignition. And no blind spot monitoring on a $45,000 car is ridiculous!
I now have one of these unfortunately, so called latest tech in it doesn't work. After 3 months audi still haven't fixed it. Once they get your money they don't give a sh*t about faults with the car.
For a video being 3:43, you waste 1:00 to introduce yourself and 0.22 to bash the key, which literally every manufacturer had in those times!!! Highway, but also get stuck in traffic - what do you expect from a petrol engine? 5 Liters?? Cause my dad's 1.4 Megane does 5.7 and he drives like a grandma...
Audi gives less because for the money vs cheaper competitors because you pay for the brand. Think about it; 2 cars, same features, same price, why would you ever choose the 'lesser' brand?
Our '24 Q3 is our third Audi and it's brilliant, we wanted a small SUV to replace out '20 A4 Progressiv. This car is brilliant, so much more reasonably priced than the Q5. Don't understand this review, we have blind spot which comes with all models here in Canada. We are averaging about 34 mp/g Imperial. This is a bizarre review.
@@craig9843 Hi Craig, we have just 6,500 kilometres on the 2024 Q3 and nothing. To note, we are a big Audi neighbourhood and have 3 friends all with 2023 Q3 "Progressivs", I know that two have over 25K on them and one with 15 or so. Only one recall to check something on one of them (fuel thingZ?) and it turned out to not have an issue . So all good, only issue we have is we are on an Island with two Audi dealers, unfortunately the best one is 2 hours away so a bit of a drive for oil services etc...Ask me again next year but perfect so far.
@@craig9843 Would be nice never having to be in dealerships, it's unfortunate the worst one is the closest. One comment about the Q is that it replaced a 2020 A4 and our other car is a 2021 GTI Autobahn and the Q is a bit boring to drive, probably no worse than other SUVs but we like good handling cars. All that being said, our daughter has a 2023 Porsche Macan which is pretty nice but compared to the Q it feels big and heavy.
@@meleana4 you are right. I don’t trust them. They are they to make lots of money. Even though I use my local Toyota dealership. I don’t have any mechanic or know of anyone I trust. I figure the dealers are responsible if they make a mistake.

Comparisions should be within the competition. Comparing an Audi against a Hyundai is like comparing a Nissan Z against a Porsche, they are both sport cars but not in the same league. Hyundai have an SUV that is comparable in size to the Q3 but there are so many things that are different than an Audi. Maybe the VW Taos could be compared to a compact SUV from Hyundai but not an Audi. And you really call the size and the lacking pass through as a reason to "never by an Audi Q3"? The size is relative to what you need in a vehicle, the pass through is a nice feature but is lacking in many SUV's (and is pretty evident if this is a requirement when shopping). I will agree that the gas mileage could be a bit better.
I purchased a 2021 q3 new I will never purchase another Audi ,VW or Porsche Nothing but problems. Finish of car deterioration was beyond normal. Going back to Toyota You will be sorry if you buy Audi. Service department was zero help. Said Audi won’t back the fix.
All makes and models have lemons bc all vehicles are man made. I have a Porsche, Audi, and BMW. They are all good cars, made for the Autobahn, and well kept. Digging what Im saying?
Let’s face it all these videos are Clickbait. These guys make videos for every single car out there. if I would have to listen to every single UA-cam video I would be walking home
I don't agree with your points but I had Q3 rental few times and it was squeezing and cracking every time. It felt like old Volkswagen. I would take Q2 Always instead of this. It looks cheaper, because it is, but it is very well put together!
Never buy an Audi, it's nothing but constant trouble with sensors throwing up silly errors and basic things missing from the top tier trims. Owned a 2020 S Line A3, it was a nightmare. It had its transmission replaced at only 6000 miles, yes at 6000 miles, battery replaced at 2000 miles odd, MMI unit replaced and continuous problems with sensors going off randomly. I was really pleased when it went back to Audi for good. Shameless people to deal with!! oh and they charged me £150 for a dot of paint the size of about 4mm(measured), yes £150 because its fucking Audi. Worst brand on planet.
There is a reason you got a Q3! Price! Everyone knows the best car in the world is a Toyota Camry! But not everyone has one! Because every person is looking for something specific! So if you want more just buy a Q5 with all the options, or a Toyota Camry! Your choice! Money talks! Don’t pay for Silver and expect Gold! Make more money and buy a better car period
I have q3 and the focus point of q3 is not the with the old cars you have. You did not mention about dynamic suspension. İsolation of sound, quality of the mmi screen, lane assist is much more than better than the other cars. Quality of internal trims, etc. Sound system is perfect especially if you have b&o or sonos
😂 bitching about the key fob when it literally goes in your packet and never has to come out… you bought an ENTRY LEVEL vehicle from a luxury manufacturer. I guess you could have bought a BMW and paid a subscription for your heated seats. Comparing an Audi to a Hyundai is completely asinine.
I decided to go with the VW tiguan.. more room than the q3 and has all the features you're missing in the q3. It's like the cousin car to the q3 and at a cheaper price.
After this video I bought a Q3. Never been happier.

Its not for all
Soz but video get a dislike from me.
2- Handling not as sharp and more oversteer than previous generation
3- Braking- there is a known issue with brake pad transfer to rotors causing brake growl at lower speeds and in some cases steering while vibration. This is due to material transfer from pad to rotor and nothing to do with brake bedding for newer cars. Audi is aware but you have to put up a big fight with Service Dept and Audi Customer Care for them to acknowledge
4- Body chatter and squeaks as there was a rattle on passenger side of car from day we left showroom floor. Audi service did take care of on this and acknowledged ita know issue on newer platform Q3 (unlike brake issue.....)
5-Entertainment Head Unit failure- This one Audi ACTUALLY admitted component failure but i was first to bring to attention before TSB-91EI
was created where they replace the complete unit.
I have a 22 Audi q3 and have had issues with my lane centering turning its self off or not even showing up in the MMI have u had this issue?
We can turn ours off permanently as with all newerAudis. My '21 GTI has me have to turn the stupid thing off every time I start up.
Sad that people would hate on you for being blessed
Great for you young person, I know your parents are sooo proud of you! I bought my wife a 2022 Q3 for the same reasons. I can tell your parents love you too! Achieve those goals!
You write in the title 'Why you should never buy Audi Q3', before I saw your video I thought that you will talk about engine problems, awful driving experience, bad electronics etc. Those reasons that you mention are not reasons for not buy the Q3. I believe that you have to change you title.
Don't ever compare Audi from Hyundai Or Toyota 😆😅🤣
Audi spends money on quality, fit and finish, paint, material and noise vibration harshness insulation. Even tho for the same price Koreans offer more features.
@@vwbora26 Audi does not have the quality of Koreans lol. They are regularly voted the most unreliable cars on the road
It depends on what the buyer is looking for. For me it was the Audi Q3
Q5 is still in the old platform......Q3 is a shrunken Q8.
@@441meatloaf Shrunken Q8 is a stretch…. It only has Q8 inspired styling but shares the A3 platform and engine from a Golf GTI
Bro. You are a cropy driver that’s the reason you consume that much. You are big guy then grab a much larger SUV!
Thanks for the video, but looks like most of the so-called issues you’re experienced could have been picked up with a quick visit to a dealership to stay 10-15 minutes in the car…. Only the consumption would remain on the table, but that is also consistent with other Audi or VAG vehicles using the same engine……
I own a 2022 q3 and love the car. Aside from fuel consumption, I disagree with all the other issues you pointed out.
i am in a process of buying q3 sportback and since you all here has an audi or had what should i go for 35tfsi or 40 tfsi quattro?
For gas mileage get the 35tfsi, for performance get the 4.0 tfsi
hello, would you able to unlock the door without take out key? Thank you!
Unfortunately not, at least with the base premium trim that I have
I got the q3 sline and it does have this feature if you have the tech package.
With all the complaints and issues I’ve seen, maybe I bought the only good one!!! 70 K and no problems!!!
These sound like issues that are your fault. You chose to get the base model lowest trim.
If your missing some options, spend more money or buy an Asian car. The choice is up to you, but I'll take the Audi anyway even with a higher price.
great review man i totally agree
I have Audi Q3 35 2019 and i don't have a navy system...😢
The rear cargo can be tight.
yeah im a big guy, but i buy a mini sized car, yeah the car doesnt come with extras, i bought the cheapest option..........do you agree with me?????
I agree for a luxury car…even base luxury model. you should have basic luxury features like navigation, sunroof etc .
Hello from Peru, I like your videos but I’m so curious about what is your ethnicity?? Because everyone in Canada isn’t the actual homeland right? Unless you are indigenous? Thanks
I sold my Q3 and purchased an A4. What a difference 👏 👌
in luxury cars you dont get chachkas that you get on cheaper consumer cars... what you get on Toyota and Hyundai as standard or base feature, for that you have to pay to upgrade in the lux German cars
Just brought a Q3 sportsback black edition
If too small ypu should have thought about it before buying…
Not one of those issues are good enough reasons to keep you from buying or not.
I test drove one and the tire nose inside the cabin was unbearable
I have the Prestige model.
No USB port😢
From 2017 audi, i bought 2023 sportage. B segment GLA is much better than c segment Q3. Q3 is empty
I just got a brand new one and it’s brilliant. Maybe the US version is crap?
I got a high trim maybe that’s the difference. Comparing an Audi to Toyota or Hyundai is like comparing a Ferrari to a Ford 🤣
Well, you will get all the features that you are describing but you need to go for additional packages like tech pro etc.
Audi Q3 luxury car ? then what about Q8? cheap car?
I now have one of these unfortunately, so called latest tech in it doesn't work. After 3 months audi still haven't fixed it. Once they get your money they don't give a sh*t about faults with the car.
Can you do a video of the good things?
For a video being 3:43, you waste 1:00 to introduce yourself and 0.22 to bash the key, which literally every manufacturer had in those times!!! Highway, but also get stuck in traffic - what do you expect from a petrol engine? 5 Liters?? Cause my dad's 1.4 Megane does 5.7 and he drives like a grandma...
Mine goes back after a 3 Yr lease tomorrow... THANK GOD
Wonderful an beautiful car in black with quattro.
How has your reliability been with Audi? and cost of maintenance? I've owned VW before and even a BMW once.
@@meleana4 I’m in Georgia, USA. Nearest dealers are approximately 1.5hrs away and one about the same in South Carolina.
I figure the dealers are responsible if they make a mistake.
tou can not compare the kia or toyota or seat whit the AUDI man 😂😂 if you want a extra stufs in a luxury car you need to buy it ,if you are without monney for gass drive a hybrid car in the town , DISLIKE! im driving a toyota chr hybrid and Q3 sportbaak s line its 2 different cars toyota you cant compare toyota or kia or honda whit AUDI BMW and MERCEDES 😂🤦♂️
People buy these cars with kids. You can’t access the trunk thru the back seat. Next frame. You can’t sit in the back seat as a 6’ 200lbs kid.
I purchased a 2021 q3 new
I will never purchase another Audi ,VW or Porsche
Nothing but problems.
Finish of car deterioration was beyond normal.
Going back to Toyota
You will be sorry if you buy Audi.
Service department was zero help. Said Audi won’t back the fix.
even some of the most reliable makes we know of, toyota, honda etc have fallen from what I hear. Not as good as they once were.
I still consider Audi has the best looking SUVs for an urbain guy.
Once you drove Quottra system, there is no turning back.
S line seats do not look like your model…sorry not sorry…rather spend a bit more and have the full Audi experience
My 2015 Q3 is perfect, quiet, refined and drives beautifully, and your whining about the key.
Minor stuff to worry about....everything is not perfect..
News flash: small vehicles are cramped in the back seat.
If it's a big person like you and you buy that car, it's for you to seat on the driver's sit and not the back seat! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I love my q3
Don’t buy a car unless it has met your needs simple as that
I have a good Q3 2022 than Land over 2023
Man's def from Toronto!
Then, why are you reviewing this vehicle?
I watched the video just to love this vehicle even more. No sub no like.
You should get a Porsche 🙄 That‘s an entry Audi car. Good car, fair price.
😂
The car need only more soft touch and leather, there is too much plastic
Shit, what you say! This is a very cool Car!
Q3 is basically a VW Taos
AUDI Q3 IT'S A SHAME
Imagine being married to him......never happy
Was that good or god or got 🤷♂️
Different pronunciation every time 🙈😂
I decided to go with the VW tiguan.. more room than the q3 and has all the features you're missing in the q3. It's like the cousin car to the q3 and at a cheaper price.
Yeah but looks so ugly,it is just a Volkswagen. In english: peoples car!!
This is not a real review.
My uncle just bought one .
Complaining about a keyfob??? gen Z the video was waste of time
never record a review at night. Poor quality
