His performance and arrangement of Grande Valse Brillante is simply jaw-droppingly spectacularly amazing. I'd be clapping like a madman if I was there.

Coming from a piano player, this is incredible to hear on guitar. I sometimes underestimate what the guitar is capable of producing from a single player! This is great!(:

Thanks, especially taking into consideration how underrepresented and unappreciated classical guitar is in this community, I find it very pleasing to read your kind words,
      Thanks

I'm with you on classical guitar being under appreciated I played for ten years and became a good intermediate student of the classics but am surrounded by blue grass , country and rap and seemed to be deemed not nearly as good as someone whom could strum three chords . I actually quit playing for ten years now have started a hard road back because for some unknown reason my fourteen year old grandson out of the blue has become interested , I bought him a three hundred dollar student guitar and after only a month he has accomplished what took me much longer so I promised him my first really nice student guitar a Yairi CY 118 now he's excited and motivated .

I've played guitar for almost two decades and only recently got into piano three years ago. It got me into trying classical guitar (since I'm terrible at piano), and I'm not gonna lie. Playing classical songs on guitar is almost a hundred times easier than on a piano. Well, I do have a lot of experience under my belt, but at the same time, you have a higher range of dynamics on piano than on guitar, whereas, in one section of the same piece on a piano that requires all 10 fingers, you'd only need 3-4 fingers to replicate, Coming from guitar where my left hand is very affluent with playing my right hand is almost entirely useless except flopping around and praying I hit the right notes, But the point I'm trying to make is that you don't need to focus nearly as much and you're not on the verge of having a brain aneurysm as a new pianist from using every last brain cell to focus on adequately hitting every key versus lightly pressing a few strings (only slightly exaggerated at the end💀)

He plays both pieces superbly but he plays the waltz like it was made for the guitar.

the broken angle of his wrist is in great contrast to his left hand which works effortless.
My guitar teacher mentioned that Ida Presti had used the right side of the fingernails to stroke the cords, what he is doing looks like it...
