They got about the best guitar player to try and do Eddie justice in Joe Satriani. Joe does it classy, with respect, without stepping on Eddie's toes or changing the melodies and solos so that they're unrecognizable. So glad this project came about. We need Van Halen music!
Its a celebration of VH music. They aren't trying to be Van Halen, but just celebrate the songs Sammy and Michael helped bring to life with the Van Halen brothers. I love Sammy and his philosophies on life and business. He is the best of ALL worlds. And of course he can still sing his ass off!

Joe plays Eddie's solos the way I do. It's recognizable as the solo….but it isn't the way Eddie did it. You keep the most important elements of the original solo, but you do it the way a normal human would. LOL
The walk Sammy and Mike ere doing at the beginning was the 5150 WALK along the edge of the stage which Eddie, Mike and Sam used to do during the first Sammy 5150 tour in 1986. it’s kind of like a ‘rock rhythm strut’ to the rhythm of Best of Both Worlds. (Paul)
