The problem with tuning down When It's Love so much is that means tuning Mike's backing vocals too. They don't have quite the same punch at 2 semitones lower.
Amazing how Sammy is 76 now and still hitting most of those high notes. Every town he plays in he denotes all the money he makes off of his concerts and did it when he was in Van Halen since he makes millions with his businesses. 😊
That's a lie, Sammy said he only donates 5-10% of his takings. Sometimes he only donates 10-15K depending on the money made buy the show. He even says he has never ever donated 100% of his pay cheque. He explained that in an interview just a few weeks ago. Why make up lies? Big noting yourself? Trying to look important knowing something noone else does by making up a lie? Seriously just be honest and answer why you lied. If I ask for proof, you will have a million excuses about why the proof is gone. Just like everyone else does. Why lie?
But the money is going to his business, which will reap a tax break from it, so it's not like he's taking money out of his own pocket. And no, he's not hitting all the notes.
Sammy, Jason, Mikey and Joe are all Great guys, but it’s all really just a poor cover band ritual without Eddie’s feel and magic. I can appreciate what they are trying to do, but I guess it just never reaches quite where it should. Too bad, kinda sad 😢 There is one thing that this continues to prove. Eddie was a complete genius in his playing, rhythm and lead.

@@charleskandrut7022 I guess that's why if you say Van Halen it's the first song people think of and what drove 1984 to sell over 10 million in the US alone.
They didn't sell nearly as well as the Roth albums though. Just the first one and 1984 sold as much or more than all the Hagar albums. 1984 sold like 10 million and that was when Thriller was still churning out megahits.

Better than Dave now and better than lip syncing to backing tracks. Most guys from that era aren't this good when they were in their 60's never mind late 70's.
Well, we didn't have the FULL Van Halen (VH2) members, but at least we have 1/2 of them: Sammy and Mike (The main vocal and the real harmony & bass). We also didn't have Eddie, but we got Mr. Joe. Can't complain.

Amazing!!!
He sings better than McCartney did at 68, yet people gave Paul a pass all the time cause he's a Beatle. Lol. I have 2 uncles your age Sammy, and they have to take a nap after walking to the bathroom. You're more than doing awesome!
The problem with tuning down When It's Love so much is that means tuning Mike's backing vocals too. They don't have quite the same punch at 2 semitones lower.
detuned song completely changed it
True but Sammy is only 5 years younger than Joe Biden. He's sounding really good for his age and the down turning must help
He sucks
There’s definitely a time when people should look back on their careers and say “we had it good, now it’s time to say goodbye “ .
Awesome !!!
Ya Ed’s gone!
Ya Alex is done!
Ya Van Halen is Over!
This is a tribute!
Is it the best? NO!
But I would go!
Y’all need to stop being so negative.
Just go see the local cover band, they do a better job.

🤣🤣🤣
Why lie?
Have ever read his book? I'm guessing no or you would haver made up that lie.
He’s not hitting those high notes lol
But the money is going to his business, which will reap a tax break from it, so it's not like he's taking money out of his own pocket. And no, he's not hitting all the notes.
Sammy, Jason, Mikey and Joe are all Great guys, but it’s all really just a poor cover band ritual without Eddie’s feel and magic.
I can appreciate what they are trying to do, but I guess it just never reaches quite where it should.
Too bad, kinda sad 😢
There is one thing that this continues to prove. Eddie was a complete genius in his playing, rhythm and lead.
Sammy always says he does it for the fans, and that the Best of All Worlds tour is especially for the fans and VH's legacy, but he always phones-in Roth-era tunes. For the fans, eh? At least the band is putting effort into it and sounds great.
Roth era sucks..esp Jump
@@charleskandrut7022 I guess that's why if you say Van Halen it's the first song people think of and what drove 1984 to sell over 10 million in the US alone.
Any Cherone VH era songs? I’m seeing the show in Vegas a few weeks from now.
🤣
I'll take that over this
VH has FOUR #1 Albums all time, and they just happen to be all the Hagar Albums,.. just sayin
They didn't sell nearly as well as the Roth albums though. Just the first one and 1984 sold as much or more than all the Hagar albums. 1984 sold like 10 million and that was when Thriller was still churning out megahits.
Listen I was born in 69, I grew up with Roth VH, Like most people my age that will always be the best era. But Sammy was the singer of VH for 15 years and they put out a lot of great music together, I just think it’s nuts when people start calling it a tribute band that’s all
@@upstate_live To me, they had some good songs, but each album had fewer songs that were good.
They are tuned lower than the original songs
Sammy is pushing 80...
Better than Dave now and better than lip syncing to backing tracks. Most guys from that era aren't this good when they were in their 60's never mind late 70's.
@@ethanweissman8753Dave would never
Well, we didn't have the FULL Van Halen (VH2) members, but at least we have 1/2 of them: Sammy and Mike (The main vocal and the real harmony & bass). We also didn't have Eddie, but we got Mr. Joe. Can't complain.
When you have "fans" like this you don't need any enemies...
Hey , at least there out trying to give Ed and the music of VH a fair well tour👍😎
I love the person clapping totally off beat, ha.
Glad they added a keyboard player--just glad that Sam and Mike are carrying the rock/Van Halen flag in 2o24
Gonna see them in 2 weeks. All the haters can shut up; this is a tribute. Keep the awesome music alive! It's not a money grab; the proceeds are going to charity.
