    I'm in my 60's, and Doobie Brothers music always puts a smile on my face. Takes me back to my teens, listening to WLS at our local swimming pool. GODS, I miss the music of those days!!!

      @@orenico96 I have seen Dr. John at minimum 6 times and have a picture of him hanging in my music room which he signed for me. Leon Russell one of the all time greats and Ahmad Jamal a very nice player but in my opinion if you want to talk jazz piano players -- go to cats like Horace Silver, Red Garland, Elmo Hope, Wynton Kelly (there are others), and then the masters Thelonious Monk, Duke Ellington and Sun Ra.

      In the 70s that was not unusual. One of my litmus tests for a true artist is whether the music sounds as good or better live. I believe recordings cannot capture the quality of great artists. The good ones prove that when they step on stage.

      i do! i was born in '76, but the a local station would play reruns of What's Happening. i always remembered the name Doobie Brothers, but i didn't know who they were until I got into Michael McDonald when i was in middle school.

    Michael McDonald went to the high school where I taught. I was teaching after he had left, but he was a big name and huge talent that the school still refuses to honor. I think that God gave him and the Doobie Brothers the talent and drive and gift that has touched millions. He has done far more than that school ever expected. Shame on them for not recognizing his gift! But God does reward! Thank you Michael and the Doobie Brothers!!! God sees you.

      I wish we had our Rock Bands back. Nothing can compare and i was so fortunate to have all of this music in my home. My older brothers and sisters played and danced around to this music on our stereo. My mom and dad loved music.. We never missed Casey Casam's countdown on Saturday radio, American Bandstand, and Soul Train.. I started high school in 1976 and it was lost in the disco period and Urban Cowboy but I listened to all of it from Boston. The Doobie Brothers. The Eagles .Fleetwood Mac. Charlie Daniels. AC/DC. Aerosmith. 38 Special. Pat Benatar. Supertramp. Night Rangers. The greatest music

Saw them at Red Rocks , COLORADO in the 80's. Hopefully will get to see them at Mohegan Sun in August. Pray that COVID doesn't cancel this tour, pray we calm or conquer this virus.

    I'm so excited to finally see Michael McDonald this weekend in Salt Lake City. I saw the Doobie Brothers with Santana in 2019. They were amazing, but I've always wanted to see Michael live.

    There's a really special part in this video that happens at 2:41 where Skunk plays on guitar what Michael is singing on vocals. It's beautiful. I wish Skunk would have still been in the band, they made an excellent team.

      Really wish Steely Dan woulda kept Skunk and Denny full time. 2 SUPER rare talents that just fed off each other so well and provided perfect contrasts. But I obviously cant complain about the mountain of legendary Session Musicians the Dan used either 😆
