Which one is your favourite one? Would you add another one to the list?
SceneScreen in the Jailhouse now!
how in the hell can you leave out in the jail house now?
Hard Time Killing-Floor Blues
the KKK singing Oh Death the song is great and helps make the scene.
Lonesome Valley
This movie does the best job capturing the experience of living in the American south. From random cults in the woods to the politics, music, and culture, it's all very true to the experience. Easily one of my favorite movies
Weird way to describe the KKK
I know you meant it to describe the KKK during that period of time, vut it seems so weird to describe such a thing as « random cult » 💀
Absolutely! My wife grew up on a farm in rural south Georgia, and said the same thing. From songs they sang in church, the pie on the window sill, the 'Road Gangs,' its all there!
Maybe one might have encountered some of this imagery in rural Alabama, in around 1923..
@@casualsleepingdragon8501Ain't just the KKK. There are some very weird cults in the south. KKK is one of the worst though.
American music, stories of good souls and bad, passed down through the generations. The Odyssey as told through bluegrass.
Ouch! Not bluegrass
@@katfishkobain8809 uhhhhh. This blue grass man. Idk what world you live in but uhhhh…..

This movie is a treasure!
It is just magical 🥰🥰
I’m starting to learn about U.S. Music History, and it’s so cool to see the amount of detail put into every scene and the historical accuracy in the movie’s music. Loved this one a lot
Only problem is some of this music was composed after the time setting of the film. Pappy O’Donnell refers to it as old time music, a lot of it would have been current/contemporary in that time frame.
Call it artistic license, love the film even if it is not accurate. The Cohens are geniuses.
@@mplsmark222 old timey is a genre of American folk music. Not a descriptor of when it was written.
This movie is one of the best comedies ever made. I love every minute of it!!
Comedy, I thought it was a documentary of the south.more recent than people know.
@@larrymosher5045 It is in a way. It's part of the reason I love it.
Good man
@@larrymosher5045 it’s a comedy, bro. Control your racism
It somehow manages to simultaneously be both one of my favorite comedies AND one of the best modern retellings of Homer’s legendary “Odyssey”. What a great movie.
One of the most rewatchable movies of all time. Such an easy watch.
The Cohen Brothers' excellent re-telling of Homer's The Odyssey, in a fun and unique way. 💓It!
Wait what
@@alaaalkhuzai2373 It's based on the Illiad. Here's a great explanation www.quora.com/How-is-O-Brother-Where-Art-Thou-based-on-Homers-the-Odyssey
I see it now! Lol
@@alaaalkhuzai2373 yep. It is 😀
Great soundtrack. Love Allison Krauss, she's such a great singer. George looks so confused when the crowd gives them all that applause. LOL

This movie was the first time I got what all the hoopla for George Clooney was all about!
❤
This soundtrack changed my life.
"We thought you was a Toad........" hahaha always made me laugh XD this movie is so underrated!!
kw ikarus They never did turn me into a toad.
One of my favorite movies of all time. Yes, it's that good.
Why do I love this movie?
It is obvious. The characters are in all of us. Trust me.
You nailed it 👍
even pete the toad
man of constant sorrow will always be my favorite song.
By far this is why I love this film so much.
This movie so powerful that can change people lifes. I'm immigrant and I know real Americans still exist in USA this days
You should have shown the complete scene of the foggy bottom boys singing a man of constant sorrow.
"Soggy" Bottom Boys

Amazing soundtrack. this and American Graffiti are two of my all time favorites. I hate to admit it but the Saturday night Fever soundtrack brings back some great memories as well.
All three of those movies you mentioned... I have to agree with you... they're great.
That’s nothing to hate admitting!
8:52 one of my favorite scenes in any movie I have ever experienced.
How can you not love this scene. Pity it is cut short on this clip.
Great soundtrack and great movie! Never get tired of either!
Geroge Clooney was soooo fantastic in O Brother Where Art Thou. His song and dance routine was very authentic in a country sense. Love you also love him in Roseanne back in the day!
I love the John Goodman scene... well boys I was feeling a might peckish
I thought you said you was innocent of those charges?
Well I was lyin!
Including That Piggly Wiggly you knocked over in Yazoo?
Good Music Always Brings Back Good Times !
Watching it right now. Always wonderful!
it took me almost 8 years since the first time i saw the movie that they were surprised that everyone else knew the song and they had no idea they were on the radio. lol
Priceless!! Bravo!!!!!!!🤩
Love this movie and its songs. Would like to buy it so we can watch whenever we like.
7:26 that little run made me chuckle
That dance...IM STR8 DED!😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣👏👏👏👏👏👏
Imagine people thinking Clooney could sing like his aunt and come to find out someone else sang for him in this movie though his actual singing voice was fair.
same with the sirens
Mood
This movie was awesome! These compilations are never long enough! Thanks!
Best movie ever... Loved every bit of it. The music is great too.
Thank you!!

Turturro and Nelson: In constant sorrowwwww!!!
Clooney: *Oh shoot, guys!!!*
Clooney's dance will always be my favorite part of the movie. I know people like that. LOL.
I JUST LOVE THIS MOVIE!! OH!! YEAH!!
When I was teaching I taught this after the Odyssey. So many avenues to explore.
care for some gofer gets me everytime love this movie lol
Reminds me of my Thomas James don't worry baby you will get out prison and see your children again. Soon I Love you Thomas praying for you, Love you Always Mom.
Best movie in history, kind regards from South Africa.
Down in the river to pray is my favorite, followed by man of constant sorrow
As a person of color it's hard to admit that the clan song is catchy.
well your more than your color try watching blazing saddles it can t be made today but gene wilder explanes racism to clevon in this movie best
@@whynot2734 I was joking Ralph originally did the song,it has nothing to do with race. Blazing saddles in a category all its own.
@@xxxjordandangerouslyxxx its all good I didn t mean any disrespect peace
I have this movie on dvd ❤
when i lived in the south it felt very mystical much like this movie

1:33 that Halloween party looks fun..
Why is everyone dressing as a ghost tho? 👻 🎉
It was just a misprint on the invitation.
It was too expensive to telegraph everyone to see what they were wearing.
It's the DNC. 🤣😂🤣😂
@Atheos B. Sapien you're delusional. The Grand Wizard himself Joe "I mean in Barack Obama, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy. I mean, that's a storybook, man." Biden. Wake up.

I've always wondered how a different culture would react to man of sorrow
not an incredibly foreign culture but i showed it to some french friends and they said they enjoyed it but didnt understand a word that came out of clooney's mouth

Great movie
Absolutely a Great Movie we loved every minute of it except John no Goodman!!!!
You missed the whole recording session at the radio station!! Why?
Man, that's Buster Scruggs.
Liked this songs
I'm a huge metalhead, but I've got mee a big ol' soft spot for bluegrass and the blues
The original lyric as it was written for "down in the river to pray", As I went down in the Valley to pray studying about that good old way and you shall wear that golden crown good Lord show me the way. This old spiritual song refers to a time before religion when union with the holy spirit and Claire voyance, was the reward of that good old way.
I see you left Man of Constant Sorrow til the end, save the best for last, I respect that
Only part I don't like is how unbelievably obvious it is that Clooney isn't actually singing. I'm not saying it's an easy task, but still. He can jerk around all he wants, but it's still so clearly NOT his voice.
Hey Tommy.....Whats you ridin??? Roadside Desk!!!
Donde encuentro la película completa?
Irony with a message for the afflicted. Use your music ability. It will bring joy and healing to others and change your life.
Watch out folks. Yes happy so far
Thats good old southern Culture🙌🏽
God will make away. All things are possible with God Matthew 19,26.
THE COLOUR GUARD IS COLOURED!
I love this movie i have watched over a billion times and want to. Watch another billion plus times
while the other songs were dubbed voices, Delmar (Tim Blake Nelson) actually sang In the Jailhouse Now. That should probably be included in any list.
Thinking about that similar haunting KKK melody which NASA sent to the outerspace in a golden gilded CD really spooks me out.
That song Oh death.
That ku klux clan rally would of been petrifying
Why did i get this up in my face???????
I have Seen thèm first !
Who’s the siren with the deep voice?
