  • This is how I take care of the fresh air cowl in my town car. The air inside is clean and filter not to the max of filtration but just enough. And also it doesn't weaken the air flow from the fan. It does get black soot from exhaust and debris from leaves bugs and pollen. Easy to remove and put back on never had a problem of it coming off. Remember what ever get stuck there your smelling it keep that in mind. Hope this helps you on your town cars and crown vic's panther platform vehicles.

There were times when the filter got really black from the exhaust of cars and trucks on heavy traffic highway. Thanks for stopping by

I cut an exact rectangular shape of the air intake shown above, out of TV styrofoam packing, and glue it with silicone. Problem solved for good; no more dust, water, or hot air in the cabin.

I have 2003 Lincoln TC mine had the water passenger side backseat.Took apart area your making vid about, cleaned and sealed with gasket seal,no more leaking…..what I did different was took chicken wire cut out piece same shape ass area I sealed to keep large “junk” getting in that area,workes…..3 months later I though what if I took cowel off again, made over size templet and put small hole vented black screen for your home to keep sun out on back size of cowel and glued it in place… be my luck if I did it would start leaking again 😁

No it's just the cowl cover installing and removing it without the screws needed. The water leaks I fixed already way back twice the first time I didn't apply as much gasket seal. It leak again then I apply a thick coat under the plastic and on top around air intake vent. Never had a leak since. Plus I saw a UA-camr that did the same water leak fix on his town car. He said it's a pain for him on unscrewing the screws out and putting them on again. For this application with the cowl cover you don't need no stinkin screws L.O.L.
