Good job 👏
Very nice jobe ,your dame good.
Resist the temptation of spray cleaners or anti-mold sprays where it will likely only make it more difficult to remove debris. Only after a thorough cleaning should you use any disinfectant.
It’s a shame manufactures don’t include better methods of keeping debris out of the cabin air system, as well as making it easier to clean out the system.
I imagine the in-depth cleaning of in a car system will take many hours may be days. It will be best to videotape and make label notes where small parts come from.
For your safety, you should consider wearing a dust mask. You should have a variety of small brushes to agitate the dirt in order for the vacuum to pull it away.
I assume mini cars have duct tubes to direct the air to your interior vents.
You should locate any available information on your particular car and specialty tools before beginning. The longer it takes to complete the task the more difficult it will be to put it back together. So learn everything you can, and find all the information available including tools before you begin.
Yeah, I was surprised that my car (1993 Subaru) has no easy way to clean the ventilation system, especially since debris easily falls in to the the plastic grill/cover below the windshield. The airflow is obviously worse than it has been. It's not a filtered system. And I haven't found any manuals that cover this, beyond maybe a complex diagram of the system. So I have known for a while that I need to just dig into the dash and explore. This makes video makes that so much easier to picture what that's going to be like.
Love the video. How do you keep track of all the different nuts and screws? When you remove something do you put the screws in there? Or write out the order you removed stuff? Thanks!
Organizer tray or small cups, paint pens to color code, take notes, pics...whatever works
For the clips I don't pry them up, you can press them upward from the bottom using anything wider than a screw driver ( I used a plier, closed the jaws to make it flat and simply pressed upward) while keeping your other hand on the top of the plastic clip to catch it and prevent it from flying away and getting lost in the engine bay once thy pup up
Thank you! I bought a 1991 mazda 323 and the ac system has never been cleaned... And to top it off, I had a cockroach infestation which entered and infested all throught the airway tubes
Nice video. The problem still remains that the whole vent system of ducts will still be dirty...
But most vents, being up higher, shouldn't be very dirty. He covered the main areas that are low and textured, getting the majority of filth. A fridge brush or strip of cloth on a wire can be used at removable and fixed vents.
This sounds like Fernando Alonso is narrating this video
What car is this? Looks very similar to my 1993 Mazda 323 Astina BG
thats cuz it is lol
I'll hire someone to do that.
This video went a step further I can see why I have mouse problems:)
You speak like a Greek which study for few years in England.
someone help me out , i can not find the location of cabin filter of my toyota corolla 2001 LE,please!
I have a 99 Camry. Although it looks like it should, it doesn't have one. From what I understand, you may not have one either. Toyota didn't put them in many of their models from that era. Good luck.
