Back when I was a young juvenile delinquent, I designed something similar to water a weed plant. Growing a weed plant is a felony, so me and my friends didn't want to be seen frequenting the spot where the plant was. I made it out a bunch of stuff. Not from nature but instead from the recycling center near by. Instead of filling up every 20 seconds like the monjolo it filled every 2 or three days, dropped a bucket of water and then went back into position to be filled up again. It did this by weight on one of those weight lifting resistance band. The bucket would fill up and only tip over and water the plant when it was heavy enough to move the resistance band. I would think you would need to hammer it much faster than any water hammer like this could go? Seems quite a bit beyond the scope of wood and stone if you want a water-powered auto hammer.
It seems laughably inefficient and quaint now, but constructions like this were the first ways humans harnessed any energy source beyond their own muscles. Using something else to do work for you was a HUGE step forward in tool use and civilization, an almost unthinkable sci-fi for its time.

Your Bae

.
..,
Your Bae - He actually has skills, of many useful trades... unlike most everyone in Hollywood, including myself. The fact the majority follow us, and not leaders like him, shows simply; common sense isn't common.
FUCK HOLLYWOOD
I spent last night watching all the videos this guy has ever made. I wish he would make more vids reagularly! legit they are the most entertaining thing on youtube so far!
Sol Rogers Mullins I imagine it takes a long time to make a vid. some of these projects are pretty extensive. And he always starts from scratch.
Rob Dyer this, also some don't work out so he deletes it.. as he said before
Sol Rogers Mullins it takes about a mounth or more to film everything
Sol Rogers Mullins it takes so long to make a Video 🙄 and in the winter he can't film, also, at this time/season, in Australia it's too cold and not good conditions with the weather. Not really possible for him to do more 😬 he has to get ideas, of which he actually has sooooo many 🤔. But what ever don't stress him :) he's an animal :))
the only thing that would be logical in this case, would be that he provide us the extendet or uncut version of some sort. Then you would have more to watch.
Favorite subscription hands down. If you were only available on cable TV...I would actually subscribe to cable TV. I hope it is as or more enjoyable to create these videos as it is for your viewers to watch them.
oh my god imagine if he had a show like Survivorman and with a budget and stuff. I can see Nat Geo getting a hold of him for the practical implications of, dare I say, primitive technologies.
He got 10 million subscribers without speaking a single word, while I haven't got 1000 subscribers until now 😁
I have to work harder and learn from this man 😊
Just give him enough time he'll make a space shuttle out of what's out there.
Tom Miller lol plz
Will Warden lmfao you sir have made my day/night!! good one!!
Lol I know right. I'm still waiting on that wooden based flux capacitor.
Will Warden for sure he will make it out of clay and power it with a fire kiln. this dude is amazing
Came here wanting to write exactly this comment :)
it's already #4 on trending! Let's give this guy a big congratulations!
I agree
When his mom told to play outside,He did this and hasn't been back for dinner in the past 25 years.

You may think 4 and 1/2 hour is a long time to waste making a hole in a log. But I have spent over 9 hours browsing memes these last 2 days.

plainlake still not as long as I've been in the friendzone...

Check out Japanese shishi-odoshi. They come in all sizes for different sounds.

TrafficGnome Well, actions do speak louder than words, so maybe that's why.
EnderSteve915 / GD TheRedandBlue / SPCOKC7150 Actions are not living things, therefore they cannot communicate.
Zalgo it's a similie. It's not meant to be taken literal.Of course Actions cannot physcially speak, that doesn't make sense.know what i mean?
The phrase is actually an idiom.
Simile is a comparison using like or as.
Ex: He flew like a bird, before falling as quickly as a rock.
The central focus of a nonhuman thing (action) doing a human thing is called
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anthropomorphism
I mean like he does got the subtitles explaining stuff
The people on Gilligan's Island WISHED they had the knowledge and dedication to make stuff like this.
To be fair, they would have gotten far and off a lot sooner on their own if most of the characters hadn't been complete tools who kept ruining the Professor's plans.
This is the best primitive on UA-cam.
UA-cam support is more primitive
acid junkie I didn't know there was another one to consider.
HOOOO!!
i love the way he drills with fire

Jup That's True
Don't worry, he'll create a language to be able to speak too
TheKiller Pojo he's smiled in the axe episode and grunted in one.
Think of all the money he's made and not having to spend a single penny
TheKiller Pojo If you mean verbally, then true. But he does put captions on for the viewers!
This really brings a new appreciation to the importance of discovering, taming, and utilizing fire in our history

I wouldn't watch the show. I'd join the tribe.
legend has it, this man has never spoken a word
Deepak Sah wise words
Episode 67: Basic Language
Deepak Sah turn on subtitles and magic happens.
Clever. A bigger version could be useful if you ever decide to do some metal work.
Water-powered Iron age.
VIIflegias up
VIIflegias where can he find iron ore?
I would think you would need to hammer it much faster than any water hammer like this could go? Seems quite a bit beyond the scope of wood and stone if you want a water-powered auto hammer.
He doesn't "find" iron...
He MAKES iron.
Maybe he could use some of that ''iron bacteria'' stuff in a older video that he used. Not sure that it would be all that good though.
It seems laughably inefficient and quaint now, but constructions like this were the first ways humans harnessed any energy source beyond their own muscles. Using something else to do work for you was a HUGE step forward in tool use and civilization, an almost unthinkable sci-fi for its time.
This man just put a perfect circle through a fucking log
SplashiMan wiTH FIRE
The Potato Llamaz and tools made from stone and wood.. I've got a feeling the camera is stone and wood too
None Ya maybe some clay too

Am I the only one who watches these videos once when he uploads and again later with subtitles?
question mark... what are the subtitles? he doesnt say anything.
game bro eh In the captions he talks about what is going on, and gives extra details like how long it took him to make it.
Thanks for the comment man, didn't think of subtitles, I can now re watch all his stuff with that added extra
Cool
this is so cool. i've been watching this channel since his 3rd video but didnt knew he added caption for them! thanks bro.

The original "Primitive" youtube channel!
I still can't imagine him going home and sitting at a computer with normal clothes on.
Björn Ironside I like your name hahaha, not as good as Floki the Carpenter though
Don't forget having a job and talking. This seems surreal thinking about it.
Pretisy How does he upload then?
Carson Dugan go to his about page on UA-cam. He doesn't live in the bush, he just does it for fun
Carson Dugan, it's a primitive internet technology called IPoAC.
This guy needs his own show on Discivery Channel!
Henrik van Walsum but they he'll have to speak lol
Apparently a show of his own is in the works. See the comment thread at the top.
Never heard of Discivery Channel 😂
